It's a very beautiful place. Good transport interchange: you can get there by bus or taxi. There are many cafes and shops, you can have a snack and relax, a beautiful promenade.

It is enough to know about the ruins of Side that there are 2 roads leading from the Nympheum fountain (next to the bus station) to the center. The one to the left is a rich cobbled street. It is decorated with a colonnade and porticos. I don't know the details, but the spirit of luxury is right there. There were probably rich patrician villas around. This road leads to the agora (shopping area). It has been preserved well. Only the pedestal remains of the statue of Vespasian. By the way, the remains of a public restroom are well preserved along the wall. And it was Vespasian who came up with the idea of replenishing the treasury with toilet fees (an unheard-of thing for those years). He owns the phrase "money does not smell")))
The second road is still used for its intended purpose - there is a roadway and it leads to the Vespasian gate. The ruins of small shops are plentifully located along it. And on the right - public baths. There's a museum there now. The shops have been used for centuries. The thresholds have been erased and sanded by the feet of visitors.

A beautiful ancient city by the sea. During the day, when it's hot, not everyone can walk there, but you can come in the evening, see everything while it's light, and stay until dark to sit by the sea on the rocks, admire the eternal stars and waves, and behind there will be an ancient and almost as eternal city. Great experience!

I walked for hours three nights in a row. I'm in love with this place. It's a pity that archaeologists don't work enough - the whole city is still in the ground. The best antique city for me!

Did I think in my Soviet childhood that I could get into real ancient ruins? Now a tram has appeared there. You can take a look around, and then slowly go around everything. I recommend

An interesting place. Ancient ruins. A bygone era. It's nice to touch these ruins who have seen a lot. The amphitheater is particularly well preserved. The atmosphere, at the height of the season, excites the senses. In general, it's better to see it and assess the scale. 🏛

Wonderful! You find yourself in a completely different world. An atmosphere of antiquity, unsolved mysteries and absolute antiquity. Advertising banners and faulty fences spoil the landscape.

Very beautiful, atmospheric. You can walk all day if the weather allows. Lots of shops, cafes, fresh juice everywhere. If you go back to the beginning, you can go down to the embankment and walk near the sea.

A very interesting place, we were there in July (very hot), not all the ruins passed because of the heat, but what we saw definitely left a lot of impressions. The amphitheater now costs $ 17, but it's not worth it (there were 4 of us, only 1 went), go out to the playground for a couple of minutes, look at everything, take pictures and that's it, there's not much else to do there, especially in the heat.

It is beautiful, views of the mountains, the sea, the river and Antalya. It takes 15 minutes to get up, you have time to see everything. The cabins are small for 8 people, really fits 6, it is no longer convenient. It's not cold up there, compared to Takhtali Mountain. Lots of cafes, you can eat, coffee, ice cream, souvenirs. We liked it.

The landscapes of the ancient ruins here are under the protection and care of the state. There are places in the town where the remains of the old city have been coolly preserved under glass and thus you can walk and look at ancient dwellings and excavations under your feet. But there is one huge disadvantage closer to the marina - a shopping town with inadequate prices and arrogant sellers

It is very dirty outside the hotel. Unfortunately, they made a mistake with the travel agency and the hotel - the guide did not hesitate to ask for an "adult" vacation three times, the hotel staff defiantly voiced that they did not speak English - only German (95% of the hotel guests were Germans, Russians, for the whole hotel, there were only 6 people with us), for They didn't take dollars for services - they demanded euros. Very disenchanted

We visited twice - in the evening and in the afternoon. I recommend going in the afternoon, because at 19.00 the museum and the amphitheater are already closed. The first time we went in the evening. The illumination is poor in the evening, there is little to see. There are sooo many people in the evening, everyone follows each other, it's difficult to take good photos. We went the second time in the afternoon and did not regret it at all. There are fewer people during the day, the photos will turn out better and you will also be able to visit the amphitheater. The amphitheater looks pompous, from the inside you can see the antique Side in the palm of your hand. I really liked it there. Yes, it's very hot in the afternoon, we walked there at 40 degrees, but it didn't spoil the impression at all. Stock up on water.

It reminds me of an unopened Pompeii. A large-scale city! In such places, there are a lot of questions, comparisons, guesses... Of course, the Turks are not too much driven into the restoration, the culture is different. More canned. Well, maybe the time will come and they will dig up everything and lift arches and porticos from the ruins. But even what there is gives an idea of a bygone civilization, which, although ancient, was able to do a lot that we do not dream of.. We were interested.
