Everyone is polite, they will always help solve any issue. The hotel itself is also pleasant, clean, and the food is delicious.
The location of the hotel is good, you can go for a walk. Nearby there is a shopping center, an exchange, cafes.
For me, the disadvantage is that the rooms are small. As well as there is no sound insulation, because it is very audible how people are talking in neighboring rooms, or someone is talking loudly walking down the corridor.

A very good hotel was on a business trip, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is very plentiful and varied. The location is also in the center to the green bazaar about 20 minutes on foot, there is a large shopping center nearby. There is an option to order dinners actually on the restaurant menu, national cuisine dishes are available, everything is very tasty. There is a swimming pool and a sauna, but the pool is already in need of renovation.

Pleasant hotel: polite staff, clean room, it seems small, but very cozy, very comfortable bed, slept great. The plumbing is a little old, the shower stall was heated. The view from the window is pleasant, even the mountains were visible from the side. You can open a window. The location is in the city center, which is very convenient. The restaurant serves European cuisine prepared with a soul. Very tasty! There is an aqua zone, the pool is small, but relaxing before going to bed and relieving fatigue helps perfectly.

An interesting location is in the courtyard, in the middle between residential buildings. Somewhat cramped passage for taxis and buses to the hotel entrance.
But the hotel has a small swimming pool and exercise equipment, so physical education students will find something to do in the morning or evening.
A good breakfast and coolness in the rooms are also a plus. If you go further along Gogol, you can also walk to the park of the 28th Guards of the Heroes of Panfilov, in which the majestic Ascension Cathedral is located!
Among the recommendations is to expand the range of beer, so far only one brand of local beer is available from draught, which is very good, but I would still expand it.

I lived in this hotel on Gogol Street, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, there is everything that guests would feel comfortable, the breakfasts are not bad either, only the restaurant on the ground floor is small. And it's quite possible to live like this. Only when I lived there it was like Bombay!! The whole of India seemed to live there.

Nice rooms. On the east side there are large, spacious rooms. Relatively good service. There is a swimming pool (although I did not use it). But the cost of living is quite high - you have to pay for good things. However, given the constant occupancy of hotels in Almaty, there is not much to choose. My new review of the old, once not a bad place to stay..Unfortunately, the Kazzhol hotel has outlived its usefulness..it has deteriorated and changed for the worse, one elevator does not work, it takes a very long time to wait and order a second elevator, in addition, it is impossible to go down the stairs, (the stairs are simply blocked by shields)not outside, not in the dining room, nowhere, because of the prolonged (necessary!) repair of the reception...although repairs are required everywhere, and the hotel is being repaired in pieces..outdated and old-fashioned, tasteless design of the dining room (photo attached), saturated with old smells of oils...regularly spoiled sour beans for breakfast, smelling of harsh ammonium, (there were such beans before the new year and this time)how can this not be noticed by the cooks?? Breakfasts have become monotonous, boring, cheap, pancakes are always cherished (I have never seen fresh pancakes fried), fried eggs are also cherished or yesterday's, amlets are not tasty..the vegetables are stale..There is no oil..only the spread. Well, in general, they turned a terrible shit out of the hotel..Where is the owner looking? 03.03.2024

To begin with, they provided a dirty room. I had to go down to the counter. But the bad impressions didn't end there. Instead of apologizing, the receptionist said, "It's okay, we have a restaurant, go wait there." It's good that we were hungry from the trip, so we went to look for a restaurant. But as it turned out, it was a very bad idea.... The dishes were cold and terribly salty. They probably added salt to the beer. Only with beer, too, it was sour and flakes floated.
After an hour of waiting, we checked in.
The entire period of stay was not enjoyable in the future. The staff is boorish, they answer any question with great dissatisfaction.
The receptionist is incredibly nasty, showing by her whole appearance that the guests annoy her.
The breakfasts are at the 1-star level, yes, there is a choice, but there is nothing to choose. Raw cold side dishes, cheap cuts and disgusting snacks. The omelet is just piled high.
The hallway on the ground floor and near the exit stinks of damp and a sauna. (like a sauna with a pool in the basement.)
The price does not match.
Only the maids can be praised, they do their job well, they always greet and smile.

Excellent hotel, good rooms, everything you need, decent prices, very responsive staff - will help with solving various problems, prompt, speak Russian, Kazakh, there is a shuttle service, there is a good restaurant at the hotel, large portions, cook delicious. The location is also good, inside residential buildings, so it's quiet at night, cars don't drive under the windows, there are shops nearby from groceries to sneakers, banks, an exchanger.

Kazzhel Hotel, checked in completely by accident, but returned a second time. It is located in the center, quick check-in, excellent breakfasts. But at the same time, the doors are battered, there are no card holders inside, so-so noise isolation.
What did you like:
1. Location. The center, there is everything nearby
2. Breakfast. There is everything in large quantities, a lot of people, but there are always places
3. The room. I rented a suite, judging by it - in general everything is OK
4. Service - no complaints

Well, what can I say. There were 2 rooms - in one it was dog cold (they said that the air conditioners work for heating, but in fact they do not work), in the second it was stuffy and hot. The rooms are patched, the carpet is stained. The breakfasts are average. If you don't find fault too much, then it's tolerable, but we probably won't come back here. There are better options.
