A huge plus is that at the airport they immediately distribute SIM cards of the local network with the Internet for a day, which helped a lot, there is also an opportunity to replenish the SIM card and choose a tariff convenient for you. Registration is fast, everything is simple and clear. I spent more than 12 hours at the airport waiting for my flight and I can say that this is the most calm and convenient airport I have been to. Unless taxi drivers are very annoying.

Everything is decent inside the airport. There are individuals of Central Asian appearance who are trying to transfer a laptop to tourists from Russia for transportation in a hand-held treasure. Be responsible and careful! I flew with Victory, I do not know who they hire for luggage, but in fact a suitcase with a broken handle arrived and it was clear that they either walked or jumped on them. Since there is apparently no choice, the Victory company does not care (economies of scale), I strongly advise you not to fly with decent luggage and carry valuables in your luggage. Then fly through the central airport.

You can only get to the city by taxi (there is no metro). Choose a taxi with a meter and follow the navigator so as not to get a "surprise". I was worried that I would not be able to drive because of the large amount of water around the airport. This would have happened if GMC hadn't come for me, who was able to drive on the water, and I got to the airport on time.
The airport itself is very spacious, at the time of my stay there, food and water were given to all people for free.

On the territory of aep. pretty smart wifi, connection via authorization by flight number. Duty free with a good assortment, comfortable departure and arrival halls. You can take a taxi from the airport, exit to the right from the arrivals hall, there are a lot of taxis. But I got by bus + metro to the center for 7.5 dirhams with only a nol card. A free tourist SIM card is not issued in this aep (unlike another AEP in Dubai), but there is a mini-office of the du operator where you can buy a SIM with different prepaid tariffs, at least 49 dirhams for 28 days. Google maps, if there is an Internet connection, perfectly show public transport routes from AEP throughout the city.
