The hotel itself is decent. The staff is polite and helpful. Good location. The room was a 2-room suite with a view of the sea and the local Eiffel Tower. The room is large with a gorgeous view. There are two buildings with two pools on the territory (one with fresh water and the other with sea water). The third building opens in June next year.
A huge disadvantage of the dining room. In general, this is a restaurant, but, unfortunately, the language will not turn to call it that. The food is monotonous, despite the fact that there are vegetables, meat, fish, side dishes, soups and porridges. Very few fruits. We thought we'd come, at least have a little fun. The food is cold. There is a microwave in the hall, but what queues there will be for it ...
the dishes are not washed, there are not enough cups. Two or three days just flew out of vacation because of the rotovirus. And everyone who comes gets sick. The dining room, upon request, gives out crackers if necessary. There is also a rice broth on the "Swedish" line.
Obviously, something needs to be done with the dining room. In addition, clean plates are displayed at the foot level of vacationers in niches. This is a separate song... (
The restaurant in the 1st building hotel is excellent, but this is for an additional fee. But it's very tasty. Thanks to the girls.
I liked the buildings of the hotel and the service themselves. The sea is clear.
They left a lot of money, but nutrition has now given rise to a phobia...

I really liked it. The rooms are clean and cozy, bed linen and towels are five. Everything you need is in the room, which is not available - at the first request, the staff will provide. A buffet breakfast was included. I liked the food - there are no negative consequences, in principle it tastes good. The furniture in the dining room is a little "tired". The heated freshwater pool is crystal clear, we did not swim with sea water - it was cool. We also visited the sauna - not bad, but the water in the pool in the spa complex is just icy, it hurts my bones. We were in March, we were lucky with the weather - the sun, the sea, the mountains - beauty! Very well maintained and beautiful surrounding area of the hotel and the first line. I recommend. But in the tourist season from May to October it is expensive. prices are reasonable in the off-season.

The hotel is good. The first coastline. You can see the sea from the balcony. You can watch the sunset in the evening. The entrance to the sea is not very convenient. Large pebbles, it is better to buy special slippers. Convenient location. Between the old and new Gagra. There are many cafes and shops nearby. But...one huge disadvantage is that everyone suffers from some kind of infection. There were 4 of us, and everyone got sick. 100% hit. And it's definitely not from the sea, because we were in October. We haven't bathed yet, but we started to get sick in turn. Moreover, the symptoms are all the same. First the stomach hurts, then vomiting, then fever. Unpleasant, of course. When out of 8 days of vacation, two at least fall out. And they also drain the sewage system into the sea. I don't know if it's Alex or another hotel, but that's for sure. When the sea smells like poop, I don't really want to swim. It's a pity, of course. If it weren't for these disadvantages, we would definitely come back again. Oh, I don't recommend it that way.

We had a vacation in July this year with a child.
Of the advantages:
1. Clean, well-groomed territory. 2. excellent room - we lived in the second building with a view of the mountains, the room is clean, good linen, changed every 3 days, has everything you need.
3. The first line, the sea is two steps away, there are sun beds and umbrellas on the beach, clear sea, and not so many people on the beach as in the center of Gagra.
4. 3 Swimming pools, one of them is for children.
5. There are a lot of shops, a pharmacy, cafes around.
6. At the reception, the staff responded very quickly to requests.
Of the cons:
1. Very monotonous food, (salted fish, coffee machine works only in the morning ((very limited selection of meat dishes ) almost the same thing every day, booking a hotel, given the not very small price and 3 meals a day, we expected to eat immeno at the hotel, but it turned out somehow not very well.
2. Rotovirus and poisoning did not bypass both me and the child, so we spent several days in the room instead of relaxing.
On a second visit to Abkhazia, I would choose a different hotel for the second time, but the nature, the sea and especially the sunsets here are simply unforgettable)

We had a rest in the middle of September. I liked the appearance of the hotel very much, the rooms are nice, clean. Cleaning every day, towels were changed regularly. I liked the food in the restaurant and the gorgeous view of the sea. There are sun beds and umbrellas on the beach. But, a stream flows straight through the beach from the sewer, the stench is very unpleasant and of course many people have caught rotavirus, including us. The rest was ruined. In the dining room, in this case, there is a decoction of chamomile, breadcrumbs and porridge on water. We had a wine tour and instead of a welcome glass of homemade wine, they poured us the 3rd part of a glass of some sour stuff. A liter of wine was promised to the room, and a bottle of sour wine was brought again only on the 3rd day and after reminders.

A good hotel, there are two swimming pools (with fresh and salt water), three meals a day, very good (buffet) and varied. We were pleased with the nice spacious rooms. However, there is no full-fledged closet for things. I was also disappointed that there was some kind of unpleasant smell that the maids strenuously mask, but it is still felt.

I'm staying at the Alex Hotel for the 3rd time.

During the off-season, they either do not give the room, or forget to give slippers and bathrobes, but at the first request, the maid will give you everything you need.
Of the cons: the rooms are of course already very outdated in terms of entourage, I would like to update this old hackneyed style.

Nice hotel, rooms are spacious and clean. The view from the window was on the construction site, which was not very pleasant, but it did not spoil the impression of the hotel!
We stopped by on May 9, got to a festive lunch with field porridge, tinctures. The staff was thematically dressed, which created a festive atmosphere!
The dining room has a non-heated swimming pool, in the second building it is heated but not very large, there are sun beds.
There was a buffet in the dining room, there were fresh fruits, and a coffee machine worked in the morning (but don't expect the coffee to be delicious). Overall, there was a good selection of dishes.
The hotel is located on the 1st coastline, 5 minutes to the sea, if you walk slowly! There are also sun beds on the beach, which is very convenient!

Everything is super, those who have rooms with a view of the beach have a wonderful view, excellent and friendly staff, a third building is being built nearby, so sometimes it is noisy from the builders, but this is a great reason not to sit in the room but to walk, go on excursions or go to the beach. I really liked the hotel! The staff is helpful, the room is cleaned every day.the location is excellent, the sea is 20 meters away.the bus stop is nearby, everything is within walking distance, there are useful shops and cafes around.the hotel organizes excursions for every budget.We took a guided tour of New Athos, Sukhum, and stopped by for three tastings.I was not impressed by the monkey nursery and arboretum, but we had a great walk along the Sukhum embankment.the tour was conducted by an experienced guide.we had a good breakfast, served in the restaurant on the ground floor, buffet, we were satisfied.of the small disadvantages of the hotel, it would not hurt to redecorate the rooms, and replace the carpet. in general, I recommend it!

Everything is beautiful, clean, caring. Everyone is smiling, flexible change of procedure hours. There is a great massage therapist, a professional in his field, you leave him and feel like plasticine, flexible and light. You have understood that I advise everyone from the bottom of my heart.

The discharge of sewage in the beach area gives a certain extreme and flavor to rest. The tour desk is a separate story, here you will be sold an excursion to non–existent attractions. We were sold an excursion to the trout farm, which is currently abandoned, the entrance is open to everyone, and empty tanks remain from the farm. Well, the cherry on the cake is a cheap divorce for a shortage of towels in the room when leaving the hotel. To carry out this divorce, a deposit is charged upon check-in. I repeat, in general, the hotel is not bad. Just not bad and that's it.

Хорошие номера, отличный персонал по уборке ( каждый день убираются и меняют полотенца), замечательный спа( всем девочкам спасибо 🙏💕рекомендую тайский массаж и косметологию) . Но подкачал шведский стол, одна и та же еда, никакого разнообразия, а диет стол вообще бедные люди кроме брокколи и картошки варёной ничего больше, запах морской капусты за 14 дней доводит до рвоты, фрукты ужасные, выпечки мало, огурцы свежие порезаны как брёвна. Короче с голоду не умрёте, но за 14 дней кошмар, да и девочки,которые убирают со столов с такими лицами, как на каторге (недовольные лица без эмоций).Есть рядом кофе ля мар французское вот там отличная пицца, мидии и официанты приветливые. Очень хорошая детская анимация. Из-за шведского стола не поехала бы второй раз. Собственникам надо задуматься, так как проблема только в этом, да и депозит 3 тыс тоже странная тема, если путевка стоит 320 на троих(2 взрослых и ребёнок 5 лет), то какой депозит, смешно же. А так задумка хорошая и подспорье Турции.

Therefore, the cleanliness of the rooms is a big question. They also do not warn that in the case of rotovirus, all the bed and towels that you stain are additionally washed for each unit, they call it a non-standard dry cleaning, this surprise is recognized upon departure in fact. The beach is not fenced, anyone passes, not only the residents of the hotel, next to the beach, literally 100-200m away, a stream flows down, judging by the smell of not very clean sewage straight into the sea. There are no complaints about the dining room at all, the food is delicious, varied, I want to say a special thank you to the staff in the dining room, the guys with our sore, and my children are 3 and 5 years old, they gave jelly and crackers to the room, because the children were not even able to reach the dining room. The children's animators are also girls, young smart guys, the children were delighted. Our conclusion is that we will not go to this hotel anymore.

If you think that you will get carried away and will not get sick, then you are mistaken, everyone you talked to gets sick for 2-3 days, there is even a special table for rotovirus in the dining room, it is unlikely that anyone ate there.In the toilet, you can hear everyone who has diarrhea, but mostly vomiting. The wave-like disease, when they thought that everything had started again, treated the children at home in the infectious diseases department of the hospital. I will remember this horror for a long time.I'm not going there anymore. There is a terrible smell in the hotel corridor.

The beach is private, but it is not fenced. There is also a stinky river. There are similar rivers all along the Black Sea coast, so nothing unusual. There are always sun beds. In general, everything is fine. Dog lovers in Abkhazia will be uncomfortable. There are too many homeless people. It's just hard for me.

I am disappointed that we came here and paid more than 100 thousand rubles for two people with a child.

Отличный отель, знакомы с ним более 5 лет. Посещаем зимой и летом. Чисто, отлично, блюда все свежие с акцентом на Абхазию) Блюда на любой вкус, разнообразие, безумно вкусная сочная форель. Забота о здоровье гостей, это уборка, дезинфекция, задействованы все методы предотвращения ротовируса (но тут много от самтх гостей зависит, ибо нечего что попало на улице трескать). Первая береговая линия, отличный вид, расположение, рядом все разнообразие растительности от лаврушки до вековых эвкалиптов.

Last day at this hotel. I want to write a detailed and honest review about this hotel.
To begin with, the choice was between Europe 3* and Alex. I saw both of these hotels in Tiktok. The tour operator convinced me to take Alex.
I should immediately note that on the day of check-in we had a wedding anniversary, which the hotel was warned about in advance. Apart from the words from the administrator, they did not congratulate us in any way. Although the hotel is surrounded by roses and you could at least decorate the room and write an address greeting.
We arrived in Abkhazia for the 2nd time by car. We all understand about this holiday, but the 4.9 rating at the hotel convinced us to relax and spend the last week at sea, out of three, enjoy and relax in a buzz.
The room stock is not fresh, but everything is quite normal. Clean, neat. The mirror is a little old, the plumbing, the tiles are a little shabby. This happens when the hotel is fully loaded at the end of the season.
Every night there is a very strong smell of sewage.
Poor sound insulation, everything is audible from all sides. The doors slam like in a clinic from every draft.

We had time for dinner on the day of check-in. It's a simple meal, but it seems to have a choice, it's delicious. Two days later, the main choice did not change!!! The pastries are dry, the bread is dry, the wine is diluted and only at lunch! What would you understand the cost of a day for 3 is almost 13 thousand!!! There should always be wine and juices to choose from! This is a 4* hotel!
After 2 days, the food became generally tasteless. Mashed potatoes are water! We've just been hungry for the last 3 days! They told this to the beautiful Lily, who greeted the guests in the dining room. I apologized for everyone. Nothing has changed. We have a spa hotel, we cook without salt!!! The absurdity is complete.
Indeed, the main contingent was from 45 and older, but this is not a sanatorium - this is a hotel!!!!!

For two cleanings, the plumbing and the bathroom with toilet have never been cleaned. The cleaners do not stop talking in the hallway from 6 a.m., and then from 15 to 17 they chatter in their own language in full voice when vacuuming the corridor. I woke up every day! At 7, garbage collection is under the window. The car hums under the window for 20 minutes. Of course, then there is no sleep.
We didn't go to the pool. They are there.
The playground is tiny, and the kids' club has never heard music or cartoons.
I went to the spa with my husband. It was fast. He's on a coupon, I'm on a fee. In 7 minutes, we made a pearl bath and a hydro massage. I've never had it done so fast before. Everyone back off.
There is no bar on the beach from the hotel with at least free water.
There are paid waters exactly twice as expensive.
The beach is clean, there were enough sunbeds. The guys were watching - well done.
The beach and the sea were wonderful for us in this place and saved us from longing and chagrin for the money spent! Naturally, we will not return to this hotel and will not recommend it to our relatives.

Хороший отель: удобное расположение - берег моря и не шумно, ежедневная уборка в номерах, белоснежное хрустящее постельное белье. Классные бассейны прямо на берегу моря, можно плавать в любое время года. Санаторно-курортное лечение и СПА делают отдых ещё прекраснее. Хамам и массаж обязательны к посещению, не упустите возможность. Кислородный коктейль в любое время. В салоне красоты трудятся прекрасные мастера, которые помогают всегда выглядеть отлично (маникюр и укладка просто супер!!!). Ресторан подводит: очень много сахара в каше, запеканках,компоте, Просто адски много сахара. Второсортные сыры и колбасы, сосиски, только восстановленное молоко. Из всего горячего съедобна только солянка по-абхазски. Мы всё перепробовали, всё поняли и ходили в заведения рядом, в шаговой доступности. Много мест, где можно очень вкусно и разнообразно поесть. Отдыхали в Алексе не раз, поедем ещё, потому, что отдых совмещать с восстанавливающими процедурами удобно, комфортный отель с оперативным, приветливым персоналом. Природа - восторг, всего в сорока минутах от аэропорта в Сочи.

You have to pay for all additional services (for mahito, for beer). The hotel has a restaurant with seafood.
There is a hammam (from which one name comes), there is just an ordinary Russian bath.
I would not recommend this hotel.

Let's start with the room, we were put in a room where the whole wall was covered in mold, and the whole palace was in terrible stains, there was a very specific smell of vomit in the room, when contacting the reception, they shrugged their shoulders, like there are no other rooms. With the scandal, I managed to move to another room only for 3 days. Next - rotavirus! ABSOLUTELY everyone suffers from it. Moreover, I was very amused by the response of the doctor who is sitting in the hotel that the main route of transmission is airborne, apparently the infection at the institute passed by, I write this because the doctor herself, yes, this path is possible, but not the main one. The main one is fecal-oral! There is not even 30 meters from the beach, where the river flows-a shit hole, an obvious discharge of sewage. Well, the cafe is a separate story. The food is disgusting, what was not eaten for breakfast, then it will go to lunch and so on. Flies fly in shoals. Around the hotel, in the evening, rats stroll leisurely, the size of kittens. If you want to throw away money and earn a bunch of sores, then you are here. Well, actually, it's better to stay away from this place!

They decided to celebrate their son-in-law's birthday in Abkhazia. We chose a hotel for a long time and, after watching a bunch of videos, we chose Alex and I must say we were not mistaken. The location is very convenient, the sea is nearby. The hotel has everything at its disposal, starting with check-in, check-in, lunch and breakfast. Cleanliness, beauty, comfort and kind attitude of the staff. We arrived a little later, by 16 o'clock, and half an hour after checking in, they knocked on the room and congratulated the son-in-law on his birthday, handing him a cake on a huge, beautiful plate. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and there are even bathrobes. The view from the room is amazing. And about the restaurant, special thanks for the delicious, varied food for every taste to vegetarians, non-milk drinkers and omnivores. The choice is a large, beautifully decorated room. And everyone probably knows about friendliness and hospitality in Abkhazia. I really want to visit this place again.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, but there is probably a sewer nearby, the stench is terrible, and also, if your room opens onto a driveway, then you will find a dog barking in the early morning and late evening. I recommend taking medicines for rotavirus with you, because medicines in Abkhazia are very expensive. On the 2nd day, everyone gets sick, diarrhea and vomiting, high fever, terrible weakness, and in the so-called "restaurant", a typical dining room, you will find rice broth, jelly (they prepared very well), solid savings for the founders, because for 3 days you will definitely not be able to eat anything, and then -a strict diet. But the choice of food is disgusting, not tasty, not varied. From the good-beautiful nature, excellent sea views from some rooms, bathrobes, towels, slippers and shower accessories are available, room cleaning is daily.

Блестящий отель! Все продуманно до мелочей! Просторные номера, дизайнерские ванные комнаты, балконы во всех номерах. Несколько ресторанов на любой вкус. Конференц зал и все необходимое для работы!
Великолепный Спа-комплекс с очень профессиональными специалистами! Отдельно необходимо отметить главного врача и в целом весь медицинский санаторный персонал! Редкость в наше время! Настоящие врачи «с большой буквы», прекрасное оснащение, разнообразные новейшие технологии очищения, восстановления организма! Огромное спасибо генеральному директору! Не заметить его хозяйский почерк невозможно! Человек, действительно, 24/24 живет жизнью комплекса и заботится о гостях с душой и полной самоотдачей! Прекрасное питание! You can swim and swim to the side and admire the sea!) The breakfasts are very hearty and varied. The staff at the hotel is very nice and friendly. Rotovirus or some kind of intestinal infection - we got sick of all 5 people. on the second day of your stay. everyone is sick. The hotel should be closed and washed in a good way. But I don't know. it will help or not, because maybe it's the runoff that runs everywhere along the coast of Abkhazia. What is in these drains is known only to those who drain something there. By the hotel. We had a suite in a new building. The room is good. That's where the advantages end. The beach is not private, everyone rests on it, only for tourists who do not take money from the hotel. The food in Hemingway is tasteless, monotonous. But at least they keep a table for rotoviruses (also tasteless). For the money we gave, we could have had a much better vacation in Turkey. There is no territory. It's not interesting around either. a street with various creepy kebab-shawarma and small stalls. There is nowhere to walk along the shoreline. The windows of the 1st building on the 1st side overlook the road (although it is small, but in the morning at 6 o'clock a garbage truck arrives and rumbles, spoiling the whole dream), and on the other side into the courtyard above the trash. A pack of stray dogs walks along the beach. At night they give under the windows, and during the day they lie down next to the sun loungers. But the worst thing is that our company of 6 people was sick all week. They explained to us that this is a rotovirus, which everyone is talking about. But!!! Right next to the hotel there are gutters that (especially after 24 hours) they stink terribly of sewage!!! As the locals explained to us, there is no SES service in the city!!! And I REALLY wanted to cancel the work of the tour desk at the hotel. We asked for a tour to the waterfalls for 6 people. They promised us, they took the money. But when we arrived, it turned out that we were going with other people. To our indignation, they replied that the tour for 6 costs other money. But it had to be said when we bought the tour. Why cheat? As a result, the trip to Abkhazia was a big disappointment. And nostalgia for the magnificent resort of the USSR times
