I really liked the Zvezdy Arbata (ex. Marriott) hotel at first, rooms were clean and tidy, comfortable beds and really quiet during the day. Moreover, compared to other hotels the breakfasts were tasty and satisfying. During my 4 days stay at the hotel I was thinking of writing a really good review after check-out until one moment... Couple days before the check-out I was in russian sauna with my friends and took hotel's shower towel which I forgot at the sauna. During the check-out as a conscientious person I told the hotel staff that I lost one of their shower towels and was ready to pay a fine of $5 or even $10 and maybe waived of a charge. However, to my surprise, I was charged 4000 rubles ($50 USD) for a one towel, one shower towel.... it spoiled my whole good impression that was developing during my four days stay at the hotel. I think I was punished for my sincerity and in my opinion it will stop guests from disclosing such information in the future.

A luxurious hotel in the heart of Moscow near the American embassy. I was there to have lunch with a friend. I enjoyed my time there and had amazing pumpkin cream soup and blini (pancakes) with salmon.

I was in room number 802 , it was a very bad smell, I couldn't sleep from the bad smell. It is a smell of sewage inside the room. I wasn't happy at all. I can't believe that I am in a 5-stars hotel .
