And I want to start it with my poem, the finished one came to me on this path: The stone is powerful, the stone is white, Take away my diseases, take away my problems, Pass it to the stream of the river. Take it away in the whirlpool All the sorrows and worries, In the stormy mountain light waters Dissolve all worries. 12/15.23 ©VEdma (yes, I write poetry under this pseudonym) The path always fills me with some kind of peace and tranquility, every time I climb through a hole in the fence and sit on this stone, which this time inspired me to write a poem. I just sit there, not thinking about anything and not asking for anything. Although no, sitting on a stone I think about the lives of the saints. They lived in caves, in the mountains, slept on rocks and ate what was in the forests or mountains, they were full of kindness and love, healed people and did not harm animals and nature. We have everything - good clothes, food, housing, entertainment, cars, we have everything to live. But for the most part, we do not live according to the beatitudes, but according to mortal sins. Having everything, many lack kindness, love, joy, acceptance, forgiveness and understanding, but there is enough lust, greed, anger, envy, etc. in excess. And in the cave of Simon there is a small altar on which lies an ancient prayer. I read and cried. A large number of pilgrims and tourists come to the cave every day. If each of them, when leaving the cave, took at least a line from this prayer with him for mandatory execution, then the world would be brighter ... but most of them ask or take pictures, some even manage to take stories with comments, although it is clearly written at the entrance - turn off the phone. An ancient prayer from the cave of St. Simon the Canonite. O Lord, my God, deign me to be an instrument of Your peace. So that I can bring love where there is hate, So that I forgive where they offend, So that I connect - where there is a quarrel, So that I speak the truth - where error prevails, So that I can build faith - where doubt presses, So that I arouse hope - where despair torments, So that I can bring light into the darkness, So that I can excite joy - where sorrow lives. Lord, my God, deign not to be comforted, but to be comforted, Not to be understood, but to understand others., Not to be loved, but to love others., For whoever gives, receives, Whoever forgets himself finds, Whoever forgives will be forgiven, Whoever dies wakes up to Eternal Life. Amen.
