The view is spectacular from here. It was unfortunate that photography was not allowed inside, but I do understand why. It's a walk to get here, but not difficult and completely worth it.

A small but very spiritual Sevanavak temple, it is the soul of Lake Sevan. Very authentic, unusual, ascetic, but very interesting. The mirror of all the temples of Armenia. Great view of Lake Sevan. It is better to visit before 11 o'clock. there are almost no tourists. You can walk alone.

A very beautiful place on the lake.Sevan. A temple complex consisting of two temples from the 13th century on the top of the peninsula (there was an island in Sevan before the water level dropped). You have to climb a fairly steep staircase to the temples, along which there are a couple of small viewing platforms with souvenir shops. You can take a deep breath and admire the views. The temples are in good condition and operational. The small chapel adjacent to the main temple is open even in the late evening, when the temple is closed, candles can be lit. From the top there are stunning views of Sevan and the surrounding mountains.

It's a beautiful place! Very beautiful and picturesque views all over Armenia! We were absolutely delighted to ride all over the country and its endless streamers . In general , this is love ! We got closer to sunset and the warm sun rays made the colors of the stone play really great and it became even more comfortable to walk in this place.

The ancient Sevanavank Monastery is located on the shore of Lake Sevan. Sevan is simply magnificent, it's just some kind of sea. Swimming in September was no longer very commendable, and in fact, in the middle of summer, as they say, the temperature of the water does not warm up very high. According to legend, V. was baptized in this monastery.Vysotsky (I'm not sure if this is true, because Armenia is a country of beautiful, but often legends). I strongly recommend you to visit!

Great place! It is definitely worth visiting the one that is not far from Yerevan. We got by minibus in an hour and twenty minutes to the city of Sevan from there by taxi in 15 minutes. The view is amazing!

It's a great place, with a breathtaking view of Lake Sevan at the top. Next to the temple stands a funny friend with a horse and a flag, sings songs standing on one leg on the saddle and offers to do the same to everyone (the cost of pleasure is at your discretion). There is an observation deck further away, but they are not allowed on it, the police are standing and turning everyone around.

Sevanavank is a wonderful place, and it's really great that we stopped by 🙂 A walk along the slope overlooking the lake is a pleasure: fresh wind and space They also tasted fish straight from Sevan — it's the tastiest and freshest there is . The sunset here is simply magical — the sky seems to light up from the inside 🌅 And the full notes are in the tg channel. t.me/VokrugSvetaZaUikend

The ancient monastery on the shore of Sevan is known to everyone. Here you have to admire the views, buy souvenirs made of natural stones, take a boat ride and wander along the shore. You can have lunch, but I recommend the Yasaman restaurant, which is five minutes away by car. Try whitefish here! The best restaurant on the coast

Sevanavank, which translates quite simply as "Monastery on Sevan", has been destroyed more than once and rebuilt more than once throughout its centuries–old history. In the mid-1950s, the monastery buildings of Sevanavank were completely reconstructed, valuable elements from a historical point of view went to museums, and copies took their place. It is crowded here, so it is advisable to choose the morning hours for visiting, when sightseeing buses have not yet started arriving at the monastery.

The monastery has a very interesting history and beautiful views. We weren't very lucky with the weather, it was raining and very cold, but it didn't spoil our impressions. It even added significance to this holy place. I recommend it!

It's a stunningly beautiful place and the building of the monastery itself. If you arrive in the morning, you can get to the matins prayer service with beautiful singing and service. Climb high, but it's worth it, I recommend it.

During the visit to Armenia, we visited many excursions in order to get a better look at the historical sites and the beauty of the region. One of them was to Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery. It is impossible to write about each object separately, they are inextricably linked with each other. The monastery is located on the Sevan Peninsula and today serves as an active church with a theological seminary. There are ancient khachkars around the monastery, and the viewing platforms offer breathtaking views of the mountains and the water surface, merging with the sky. The lake attracts tourists with its unique beauty and picturesque landscapes. This is a great place to admire the scenery. One has only to climb to the observation point, as an unforgettable landscape of mountain ranges opens up in combination with the blue wave surface of the lake. In places, the lake is endless and stretches into the distance without glimpses of land. In such places, the water surface seems to touch the sky. For more information, see the article on my Zen channel.

Sevanavank is a place of power where history meets incredible nature. Climbing to the top of the cliff is fully justified: you can enjoy a panorama of turquoise Lake Sevan and the surrounding mountains. The ancient churches, built of black tuff, breathe history and tranquility. The sensations are indescribable: you feel both peace and delight. One of the most powerful and beautiful places I've ever been. The trip here will be remembered forever!

Sevanavank Monastery and Lake Sevan. A harsh, cold place. Even in summer it's cool here, and the water temperature is +17 degrees. The place is purely touristic. If you want spiritual silence, it is better to drive on for 30 km and get to the Hayravank monastery.

The monastery is part of the UNESCO heritage, so there are a lot of tourists from all over the world. It takes only an hour to get from Yerevan to Sevanavank. We were in the evening, at this time it is very quiet and cozy here, you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Sevan, take pictures quietly, without crowds. To climb to the monastery, you need to overcome a steep stone staircase of 230 steps. It is rumored that if a pilgrim ascends it three times, it is equated to a visit to Mecca. A place of peace, prayed for centuries!

You can get to the monastery by minibus from the southern bus station for 1,500 AMD and walk a little way from the highway. The place is beautiful, but there are too many tourists. The buses arrive one by one. They are allowed into one church, the second is closed, the third is destroyed. But with such a stream of people, you can't pray. Everyone is trying to sell you something. It's worth going just for the beautiful views of Sevan from the observation decks.

You need to come here, take photos and leave. Next to the monastery, the most interesting thing is a dog with 10 puppies. The recreation center near the monastery looks abandoned, there are no people, a lot of garbage.

We were taken on an excursion to Lake Sevan and we came to the monastery, words cannot describe the magical beauty that opens onto the lake and the peace next to the shrine, which preserves a thousand-year history. We were at a service on a day off, and we heard a church choir. And they saw the greatness in the temple.

A beautiful monastery on the cape. It is worth getting up to take in the majestic panoramas of Sevan, with an old and elegant church against their background. The only thing is that sometimes too brisk trade is conducted on the steps, it tires.

It's a cool place. Great views! Be sure to bring warm clothes with you. In Yerevan it can be plus 20-25, at an altitude of 2,000 m it can easily be plus five cold wind and fog.

The monastery stands above Sevan as if it guards the lake and time at the same time. There is a sense of spaciousness, wind, stone and some very calm, collected force. The views are incredible — Sevan seems endless from here, and the sky is especially close. Even with a large number of people, the place does not lose its tranquility. If you come here to understand the history, symbols and feel the place more deeply, it is better to do it with an excursion. I conduct meaningful tours of Armenia and Yerevan: without haste, with stories, meanings and attention to detail.

We were with a guide on a Monday in December, there are only a few people besides us. The height is 1900m. I really liked it. The temple of the 9th century. The view of the lake and the mountains is simply amazing, no photos convey what you can see there live. The combination of mountain snow peaks with the coastline around the perimeter of the lake is amazing.
