I visit the Botanical Garden often, I like the atmosphere, clean air. Recently, great improvements have been noticeable - cleanliness, grooming, benches for recreation. Very low ticket price for pensioners.

An oasis in the middle of the city. A great place to walk. Clean and well maintained. Due to the small entrance fee, there are not many visitors here and you can safely walk or sit on a bench and read a book.
There is a pond with fish and swans, a pond with water lilies.
A great place for jogging, walking and just reading under a tree on a bench

Many people may think that a paid ticket is not worth an ordinary park, because there is an Atakent nearby and you can walk there for free. But the botanical garden cannot even be called a park, it looks more like a forest with many different plants. And yes, you won't see garbage there either, because they give you a fine for it

My wife and I decided to visit the botanical garden, I am 67 years old, she is 62 years old. They came and asked for tickets for pensioners, in my opinion it is logical, especially since we are them. In response, they demanded pension certificates from us (although none of the official website of the kindergarten says this), I had it with me, my wife did not have it and they refused to sell her a ticket, despite her quite visible age. While dealing with the guard and the cashier, I realized the reason, it turns out we had to prove that we were citizens of Kazakhstan (my wife and I are Russians). No arguments helped. It seems that to visit the botanical garden, you need to take a package of documents with you, more than for a trip abroad, especially if you have children with you. Some kind of absolute game, asking for citizenship at the entrance to the botanical garden. The mood for the whole day was irretrievably spoiled.

The magic and magic of nature in the middle of a bustling metropolis - that's what I have for the Botanical Garden of Almaty.
The Botanical Garden is beautiful at any time of the year, in spring it is blooming and so fresh, in summer it is magical with the coolness of its alleys and paths, in autumn it impresses with a riot of colors and becomes a living picture of "50 shades of orange"!
There is definitely something for the whole family to do here. Walking in the fresh air, watching swans and carp in the pond, looking at the beauty around you, having tea together with sweets from local coffee shops! And you can keep walking!
Entrance to the garden costs 900 tenge for an adult, 450 for schoolchildren, children under 7 years old - free of charge. The garden welcomes guests from 9.00 to 21.00 (ticket offices are open until 20.00)
It's good to bring a bottle of water with you, since the shops are located only at the entrances, and it's far enough to go from one to the other. There are toilets on site.
Parking spaces are most often available at the entrance from the Al-Farabi side.
There are a lot of places to relax in the park, locations for photography and simply gorgeous views! You will not regret coming here with your family or for a romantic walk with your soulmate! A walk through the park takes an average of 3 hours, but everything is very individual here)))

We visited the Botanical Garden in July 2024, we really liked it. Silence, fresh air, squirrels running. The only thing is that they did not hear an announcement at the entrance that you can buy squirrel food there, at the entrance. Next time, we'll take a bag of feed in advance (there are a lot of proteins there).
