It's a great place. I recommend it to both adults and children! The price is not high. There are few people. There is a place to eat inexpensively.
We spent 4 hours. We admired the animals. There is no crush like in the Moscow zoo. The animals come out and walk quietly. Behemoth is a real handsome guy. Lions, monkeys, elephant, camel, zebras, bears and more. A variety of birds. There is a playground. Compact, with a sufficient set of animals, places to sit and watch.
There is a children's playground.
You can buy food at the entrance. It is not expensive and there is a lot of it. But the pieces of apples are big. We broke it because there was nothing to cut.
You won't regret going. And be sure to buy food.

The zoo is nice, small, but there is a variety of species, there is a terrarium. They sell food, you can feed some animals, especially I liked to feed deer and deer, they come up and reach for food. A gorgeous hippopotamus, elephant, camel, zebras are all clearly visible. There are two types of bears, tigers, and lions. Mountain goats and mouflons on the mountains as if in a "natural environment" - the zoo is located as if surrounded by mountains, some enclosures need to be climbed. A quiet place where you can walk, especially if you find shade in the heat.

An excellent zoo, a large territory and a picturesque location of aviaries on the slopes of the mountains. There is an active renovation and construction of new spacious aviaries. However, along with this, there are also small cells in primates, which may not have completed reconstruction yet. It was sad for them. Packages of animal feed are sold at the checkout.

A great place for children, a large zoo, you can feed animals, clean, there is no smell. Bears and camels are very friendly. You can buy water at every corner or sit in the shade. One of the negative points is that logic breaks down when a wild kitten with spots and furry mice sits in a terrarium next to pythons and geckos. What's it? Are the animals punished? Or are they food? The children were confused.

The food is very expensive. 600 drams per package in which one sliced rotten apple and several cubes of sliced carrots have no one to feed except an elephant and a hippopotamus. 2 lions and one female who are fed worse than yard dogs

It's just a wonderful place in Yerevan for psychological relief. A very beautiful landscaped zoo. The animals are kept in close to natural conditions in spacious, clean enclosures, which is a merit of the zoo staff. There are drinking fountains throughout the zoo. The territory is very well maintained. Anyone who visits this place will not regret a few hours spent.

Admission is inexpensive. We "celebrated" the birthday of our son, he was 1.5 years old on this day. The fences at the aviaries and the walk-through area leave much to be desired, if I hadn't been holding the child, he would have fallen absolutely everywhere. Yes, yes, moms will write it and you need to keep it, but no one has canceled the rules of basic safety and insurance.
The territory of the zoo is very large, but the realization of space is at zero. Empty zones, empty enclosures, empty territories, bushes, bushes, stones, further bushes and stones and so on everywhere. They also told me that it was after restoration, it's funny.
According to the animals, the buzz is really at a distance of a couple of meters I saw a hippopotamus, my favorite of this place. But, the animals are mostly dirty and "abandoned" for half a day, I saw a cashier from the zoo staff, a guard at the chicken enclosure (they were obviously plotting an escape from the coop, and he saw through their plan) and ice cream sales consultants.
In general, the impressions are good, but wherever you go, something spoils your time. Aah, here in, I remembered while I was writing, we couldn't sit on any benches, as they were treated to pigeon droppings and a guard who guards the chicken coop.

If we compare it with the zoo in St. Petersburg, then Yerevan is much better.

The park is generally good, the animals are in excellent condition. But there are few animals and the park is undergoing periodic repairs, the park is developing. The food court used to work, now it does not work. If you arrive by taxi, you can't always stop at the entrance. There is no cafe, only ice cream. Scooters are not allowed on the territory.

What is this!??????? Quiet horror!!! Poor animals! The poor elephant lives in a pen that is not cleaned! Monkeys have a clear disease!!! The bear lives in a 2*2 cage! He doesn't live. Horror, darkness, animal husbandry, not a zoo!!! And the lion... poor lion… He can barely walk and suffers… this can be seen even by the most soulless person!
