Even I, as a zoo lover, liked it there. The pussies are cute, the lemurs are just beautiful-I really wanted to touch them. I think it is especially successful that you can buy food and feed the animals. My favorite was a camel that squeezed through the fence, opened its mouth wide and waited for treats. The animals are kept in terrible conditions that contradict the standards of keeping in zoos. For example, a civet sits in the territory of a terrarium, in an aquarium a meter long, it has no shelter, it is stressed, runs in circles, children knock on its glass.
Deer are in huge numbers, huddled together in a tiny aviary.
The monkey house is tiny for such a population of monkeys, the animals are stressed, they walk in circles.

The zoo goes uphill all the time! I've never seen anything like it. But the goats have natural mountains and the tiger has a stone wall of the enclosure. There are very interesting viewing platforms for lions and transitions between cages for lemurs. The landscaping is not over yet, but there is already something to see!

There are pebbles, children's play areas, both paid and free. The price tag in the cafe is low.
And, in my opinion, the most important thing is that there is no smell inherent in animals in a cage. In general, I recommend visiting for the whole day.

A good chamber zoo. The entrance is 800 meters, includes a visit to the terrarium (it is located outside the zoo).
There is a convenient route in the park, the combinations of animal placement are very surprising, but animals are not bothered by such a neighborhood.
There are few staff, but they are slowly trying to improve the park - it's good, the animals are being watched - it's noticeable.
However, sometimes the enclosures are too compact for the number/size of animals - it's a little hard for them, which is noticeable and I would like their conditions to improve in the future!
There is a pretty good set of animals, especially characteristic of mountainous Armenia - for them, aviaries are their nature.
I wish the terrarium to replenish the collection of representatives, because people are very wonderful there!
And since any post-Soviet legacy, it requires restoration, investments and expansion, because Armenia has a huge potential in the field of tourism, and the zoo is an important place to visit!
