The Soviet zoo. Clear. The animals are well-fed and well-groomed. But... Apart from the map at the entrance, there is no navigation, from the word "at all". There are not even names of animals. The cost per weekend for adults is 800 drams (about 120₽), for children 400 drams (about 60₽). A serving of ice cream is about 50 rubles.

Hello! I would like to inform you about an unpleasant incident and the lack of an elementary communication culture at the ticket office of your zoo. On May 8, 2022, we had a great time at the zoo with children (2 and 8 years old) and in-laws, one of whom has a lame sore leg. At about 18:55, we had to take shelter from the pouring rain in the ticket office building, and at 19:00 the cashier literally kicked us out because she was given a car at the entrance, and she preferred to kick us out with the CHILDREN, not letting us wait for our taxi. This disgusting rudeness and lack of human attitude towards a mother with 2 young children should not go unnoticed for her. I hope for the sanity of the management of the Yerevan Zoo.

I don't understand the rave reviews, except that for this it must be the first zoo in my life. Small, very poorly maintained. Water blooms everywhere and with garbage. Half of the enclosures are empty and abandoned. Some birds have partial plaques, while others have empty frames. There are not very many animals.

I feel very sorry for the animals, I went out and cried. The terrarium contains a genet (like a cat) in a small cage, it is cramped and stuffy there. She's been running from one corner to the other all day. The elephant is also in a small room, he even walks there with difficulty. Monkeys also sit in single cell cages, just a 3 by 3 meter cage, sitting and watching. animal husbandry, there are no words😭😭😭

In general, the territory is well-groomed, but some animals have very cramped cages (wild cats sat in small 2x2 cages, monkeys also in small cages), a black bear in a sad state. The terrarium is terrible! In a stuffy small area without normal ventilation in small aquariums rodents, an owl (!!!) and there are snakes nearby. It really spoiled the impression. We hope that the conditions of detention will change for the better.
