The room has a hair dryer, a coffee machine, all accessories (toothbrush, paste, nail file, iron, ironing board, etc.), there is an iceroom on each floor if you want to have a cold drink in the room. The beach is not big, the sand is white, there are pebbles when entering the water, the water can be cloudy. Life hack: if you go in from the far right side, there are almost none. During our stay, the breakwater was repaired, so from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. we stayed on the beach to the sounds of an excavator. The sunbeds are normal, there are refrigerators with water, a towel according to the cards, change as much as you want. The food in the restaurant is normal, there is everything for every taste, everything is delicious. There is always live music and ballroom dancing during the day, an aesthete's dream.

You need to understand that this is a Rixos hotel, this chain belongs to 5+ hotels (luxury five-star hotels), in fact, they couldn't get this hotel up to the luxury level here, then why:

We stayed in the Senior Suite. The travel company from which we bought the tour indicated in the information form that there are privileges in this room - early check-in and late check-out. Therefore, on the day of departure, we did not rush to the reception, but arrived at 15-00. But the manager presented us with a bill of 1000 dirhams, saying that check-out from the hotel at 12 o'clock. He did not respond to our explanations and a link to information about late departure from the tour operator. In general, we paid 1000 dirhams, but there was an unpleasant aftertaste, because a hotel of this level could show loyalty to customers, because we were not just "late, forgot", etc. - we were sure that we could rent the room later, as the tour operator stated.
In general, the hotel is really wonderful, but the attitude towards the guests should be at a high level, and in controversial situations, show loyalty to them, and not balk at three hours and sell the bill.

Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is, in fact, a city hotel located on the seashore (the Persian Gulf, of course, but the "sea" is faster to write). The territory of the hotel is very small. The same small beach is fenced off from the outside world by a stone embankment that turns the sea into a pool with salt water. In the season, it is almost impossible to find free sunbeds after 10.00. If you want to lie on the beach, get up earlier. The sand is muddy in places, slimy to the touch, like the bottom of a bathroom in which the water has not been changed for several years, plus a lot of small sharp stones that remained after construction and were not removed. In the center of the beach and on the right the approach is even more or less, and on the left everything is very bad. Earlier, someone wrote that work was being done at the hotel, a water park was being built. At the end of autumn 2023, there is no water park, and personally I have not found any traces of its approaching appearance.
I have not left negative reviews for a long time, and even now I am not eager to curse the next "five" of the famous Turkish chain, but, for a number of points, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi turned out to be even worse than the Dubai Rixos The Palm Dubai Hotel & Suites. I'm not "overeager", just for the money that is now being asked for accommodation in Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, this hotel is a disappointment. With all the external respectability, there is not much positive in it.
Half of the building you see in all the photos is occupied by the hotel, and the other half is occupied by the Fairmont apartments. I don't know what kind of collaboration this is - either Rixos bought half of the house, or vice versa, or it was built together, but right in the hotel building, on the floor with restaurants, there is a corner (sorry for another Americanism) for the sale of Fairmont apartments. That is why guests staying at the hotel have to wear bracelets all the time – after all, the owners and tenants of the apartments also stay on the territory, which need to be distinguished somehow. And that's why you won't get a drink at the bar if you don't have a bracelet. Such is the greeting from Turkey "zero" ... And yes, if you leave in the afternoon, you will have to twist to "break the system" and get food, drinks and the notorious paid towels. My children were especially impressed by these bracelets, who repeatedly asked what it is and whether it is possible to remove it? By the way, after a couple of days of rest, it turned out that children can be removed. And even later it became clear that it was not necessary to do this, since children are no longer perceived as guests if, for example, they try to order juice or a milkshake at the bar on their own. In general, we got smart here with bracelets, we haven't seen this for a long time.
We are two adults and two children (7 and 10 years old). We arrived at the hotel at one o'clock in the afternoon, we were settled immediately – this is a fact. There were no welcome drinks – also a fact. The mini-bar in the room is paid, but if you immediately refuse it, you do not need to pay a deposit upon check-in. And that's why it turned out that our children ate fewer chocolates and chips during the rest.
We lived in the Family Room (Two Bedroom Family Room) — this is a regular connection of two rooms, one of which has one large bed, and the other two are also large. This was necessary, since we like when there are a lot of baths with toilets, and in suites it is not a fact that this will happen. Upon check-in, it turned out that the view is not to the courtyard, but to the street (Corniche). And we didn't need that. The reception assured that all family rooms are facing the street, but I'm sure that's not the case. I took a ready-made tour through an operator (Anex) in February, long before the trip. And I'm ready to vouch that then the operator had family rooms for sale with a view of the courtyard and the street. And I chose with a view of the courtyard, more expensive. Over the past six months, the names of the rooms seem to have changed. Now, for example, instead of Courtyard, they write Seaview, which, of course, is logical, but that deprived us of a room with the "right" view. Minus the operator and the hotel for this, because the street view is so-so (see photo). In fact, only the Marina Mall shopping center, located across the street, is visible from the low floors (we were settled on the fifth floor, although I specifically noted the desire for a high floor in the booking).
Marina Mall is, of course, a plus for the hotel, although this is hardly the merit of the hotel itself. In these harsh times of Western sanctions and the departure of various sellers from the country, Marina Mall is an outlet for any avid shopaholic. For his sake, some even come here specially to rest: you crossed the road, and you are already in paradise! As the girl at the Rixy Club said, parents often hand over their children and immediately go to the store. If you're lucky, you'll even get a ride to the road or back in the hotel's electric car. The walk will take five to seven minutes. Well, ten. At the same time, Marina Mall is a minus, especially if you have windows overlooking it. For example, your wife wakes up, sits down at a table to drink coffee and starts a conversation that "I need to go to the Marina today, I forgot to buy more there yesterday...". And so every day. Minus, in short. Minus your wallet.
Rixy Club is small, but not bad. There is a playground on the street, with a pool for kids. They play cartoons in the evenings. There is also a place to run and play in the clubhouse if it's really hot outside. The girls from the staff are responsive, reasonable and the club's program is quite diverse. During the week of our stay at the hotel, the club twice organized wide festivities on the street – they held a Rixy Fest and celebrated Halloween. They inflated a children's town for jumping ropes, decorated the territory in every possible way, and so on.
Let's go back to the rooms. They're good. The renovation is fresh (which is logical, the hotel has recently opened), neat. Villeroy & Boch plumbing. The furniture is of high quality, only heavy, inconvenient for rearrangement. With the electrics, they overdid it a little. The sockets in the room have small switches and are turned off by default, what else you need to guess. You can't turn on the hair dryer in the bathroom, and the cord is very short and stretches very hard, which has become the subject of numerous complaints from my wife. Climate control is set to 16 degrees by default, apparently this is the order. While you deal with him, you will turn into an icicle.
Interior doors are VERY heavy and for some reason equipped with closers, so they open with great difficulty, and for young children it is already a whole physical education. And we were always afraid that someone's finger would press down or tear off, since it would not be possible to simply open the doors and leave the passage between the rooms open if the closers were not slightly disassembled. Worse, one of them turned out to be defective and only accelerated the closing of the door, making a terrible roar. Thirty times a day you go from room to room – thirty times it will crash. The door handles, obviously, are not designed for such loads, so on the third day everything fell off completely. Thank you at least that, after calling "who should", they fixed it quickly. Of the Russian TV channels in the room, Euronews with subtitles, Channel Five, Russia 24, Friday, NTV, TNT, Cartoon, STS. The Internet in my room showed 25 Mbps for input and 45 Mbps for output maximum. On the beach 6/3. On the street in the restaurant and by the pools is bad, less than a megabit.
And, finally, about AI. I really DIDN'T like the local "ol inclusive" (see the power scheme in the photo). He's at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi weird and wrong. Cheating with a paid mini-bar on ol inclusive outraged me back in Dubai, but the local Rixos surpassed everyone! And it's not about the quality of food, everything is just fine with that. If anyone is afraid that there will be no scrambled eggs for breakfast or crabs for dinner, do not be afraid. Otherwise, it's a complete failure. A la carte restaurants are all paid. Alcohol until 20.00 at the adult pool bar and until 22.00 at dinner. At the same time, all performances on the street begin at 20.00. And what's the point of watching if they don't pour? Finish. You can, of course, carry beer in cans to the room, as some do, but it's inconvenient, ugly, and in general, what is the money paid for? To sit in the room? In general, we did not watch the evening program, not once, since we only went out for dinner at 20.00. We sat, ate, drank - and went to bed.
The only place in the hotel that works around the clock is the gym. But we, for unknown reasons, did not reach it. Perhaps Marina Mall is to blame? And the employees of the guest relation service walk around the territory and ask Google to leave reviews. At times, my hands literally itched to leave them a review… There are no complaints about the service, really. I try to stay objective until the end, even though I understand that I'm already getting turned on. Therefore, I summarize: you need to go here as a couple for shopping. With children at sea, you need to go to another place.

Hot water also flows from the showers on the beach, the pool is heated. There is one with cooling, only they were saved. The territory is small, there is nowhere to walk in the evening.

Плюсы:
вид из окна (у нас был 31 эт); просторный номер; отдельностоящая ванна; скоростной лифт; большое количество бассейнов; приветливые администраторы; оперативное заселение до 15:00 в момент приезда; система умного дома; вип-трансфер; в шаговой доступности отличный ТЦ; каждый вечер выступления певцов;
Минусы:
пляж оцениваю на 2-, т.к. постоянно склизкое дно, мутная вода, частые отливы; ребёнка обожгла медуза, а как выяснилось мы были не первые; песок перепахивали так, что ходить приходилось как по горам;
"all inclusive" вылилось по факту на ресепшн при заселении в массу ограничений, которые нужно держать в голове "где, во сколько, что и как можно есть и пить" и платный мини-бар; коктейли в основе своей не вкусные, но как только вы решите выбрать платный вариант, то картина сразу меняется; уборка в номерах некачественная, не говоря уже о том, что один раз вообще не убрали пока не пожаловались администрации + постоянно разное количество воды ставили, забывали положить халат или нужное количество полотенец; разочаровал гид своим подходом к сопровождению нашего отдыха; неудобный браслет.
С учётом всех + и - отель не дотягивает до 5 звезд. Желания возвращаться НЕТ, т.к. считаю, что стоимость не оправдывает комфорт.

We are currently staying at this hotel on April 18, 2024.
Moments: there is no breakfast upon check-in, we paid about 5400 rubles for it for two, we arrived early at 8 a.m., but there was a bonus for us-we were immediately settled according to some kind of program. For the record, this was not offered to everyone. It's hard when I arrived early, and check-in at 15.00, and even without food and basic water. At check-out, they also take off the bracelet at 12.00 and lunch and you are no longer there😏
Let's start with a pleasant one: a beautiful building, a hall, a great room. There is everything you need and a little more in the bathroom, but according to the all-inclusive system-the mini bar is not included😂well, at least they bring drinking water!
Good cleaning, soft towels, bathrobes and slippers are welcome.
Restaurants are beautiful and delicious. There is a choice for lovers of the sea of products. There is only no choice of fish. There is one type of fish, meat or ribs on the grill. There are plenty of vegetables, fruits, and sweets. The most delicious food is served in the street restaurant people. By the way, there is also a beautiful presentation of dishes selected from the menu. The buffet is served only in the restaurant of the main building. As it should be, water, soda and ice cream in individual packages.
Cons: on April 16, there was not a weak downpour. Of course, you can't argue with nature. The lobby was flooded, the waterfall on the stairs of the main hall. The guys tried to eliminate everything. Accordingly, everything regarding the street area was unavailable. Now it's a big DEAL, there is no sea, the water is gone, it turned out to be a natural pool for the baby. The question is where to swim for adults. Today is the 18th. The pool was not cleaned yesterday, today the pools are also not working, but there are no more sun beds and umbrellas on the "sea"! No one is cleaning the pool today. It's very strange. It's just closed for the second day and that's it. That is, there are sun beds by the pool, you can comfortably spend time here, but there is nowhere to swim. The waiter brings drinks endlessly and in general the guys are trying very hard. There are no answers to the questions when we will be able to swim. For a hotel of this category, I think this is unacceptable, it is clear when a downpour is a hurricane, and then what prevents it? The second day is coming to an end.
There is a Marina mall across the street from the hotel. There was also a waterfall in the building in the rain. The locals even went outside and just filmed a video of it raining. It is clear that the buildings are not designed for this. In general, there are two impressions from the organization of rest at the hotel.
Addendum: April 19th! Negligence! The pool is still not cleaned, there is only room in the family pool under the burning sun, there are not enough umbrellas for everything. The hotel disappoints more and more every day. Do you need to get up at 6 in the morning to occupy the sun beds. Nonsense. You can somehow think of places by the pool according to the current situation. They also started some kind of repair. A bump stock has been operating on the territory for two days now. The noise is very annoying. We have been to Rixos hotels before, but this is the first time we have seen such an attitude of the management towards the guests.

Great hotel. A huge territory with several swimming pools. A beach with white sand like in the Maldives. Food is something divine👌 a huge selection, especially delicious sushi every evening. Lovely large rooms. The only negative is that half of the vacationers are huge families of loud Kazakhs.

Overall, a good hotel: new, spacious rooms, good cuisine, fruits. BUT: terrible beach. It is small, the water is stagnant with a characteristic smell, the bottom is muddy. But the worst thing is the rocks at the bottom - razor sharp. Also, the tide is out on the beach in the morning, you can swim only after lunch. At the same time, there are clearly not enough sun beds and umbrellas by the pool.
The hotel is trying to clean the beach somehow with a tractor, but it has been making noise since 5 a.m. and prevents sleep.
As a beach hotel, I do not recommend this, otherwise it is good.

It seems to me easier to include these two meals in the total cost, where this amount will not be so noticeable, than to actually pay about 7 thousand per person for lunch, and the impression immediately spoils, since, I repeat, there is no such thing anywhere! Even in Kazakhstan, we were taken to Riksos for breakfast. There were also various other little things, but this struck me the most. This is a discomfort for your guests.

We love Rixos hotels very much and always stay in them all over the world, and we are a member of the Diamond level, which is why we are entitled to early check-in and free room upgrade.
When booking, we chose the All inclusive food system. We were traveling with relatives, parents and children, booked 7 rooms, initially asking that we be given an upgrade and, most importantly, checked in as soon as we arrive, because our flight is night, we will arrive at the hotel at 7 a.m. Everyone confirmed that they had given birth almost two months before arrival.
We arrived, and then something began that could not be imagined in a terrible dream! First, my brother flew in with his wife, who was 7 months pregnant, and her elderly parents with diabetes mellitus. They were told that they would prepare the rooms and check in now, they sat down to wait... they went to the reception every hour, but the managers spoke rudely and rudely to them and the room was provided only by 15 o'clock!!!!! From 7 to 15 they sat, sweated and waited!!! The pensioners were sleeping on a bench. But the hotel did not stop there, they were denied breakfast with the All inclusive system!!! they said that only dinner is allowed on the day of arrival, and the mini bar will not be included at all, as well as a large cocktail bar, which is only on from 20:00 to 01:00, the rest of the time is also not included, and the lounge bar is also not included, and no one warned about it When booking, it is not All inclusive at all, as it is in all other Rixos. But the terrible thing was that they refused breakfast to a pregnant woman and her mother, whose insulin began to drop, they ran to a nearby shopping center to buy food and my mother did not feel ill. It's just a crime on the part of the hotel!!!
And they didn't stop there. They were given a room not on the sea, but on the technical roof and parking, the view is ugly! And that wasn't all! The whole room was covered in unknown human secretions, stains were everywhere - on pillows, curtains, on the table! It was disgusting! The curtains are torn!
And only then they were provided with a senior manager who found them a room with a sea view, as it was supposed and promised earlier, but from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. they waited, hungry, until lunch, without sleep and in dirty clothes! The paid day was ruined!
Next day, my parents, two teenagers and I stopped by with a newborn child, I wrote in advance after everything that happened with my brother so that the rooms were ready. My parents also arrived at 7 a.m. and they were immediately settled in, there were no problems here. But we missed the flight with the baby and we took the next flight of another airline and arrived at the hotel at 16 o'clock sooooo tired after almost two days on the road with the children. They give us a room, we go in and we are literally knocked down by the strong smell of paint, it was impossible to breathe! I don't know how they thought of painting something in the room on the day of the guests' arrival! My mom saw them running around with a roller of paint, but she didn't know that this is how they prepare our room! I ask the senior manager to change our room, I say that we will go through the territory for now. 2 hours have passed, there is no information, we go to the reception and they tell us that there is no room, only with paint. We call the senior manager again, she ran to look for us, we went to dinner. At 20!!! We are being populated for hours! I had no words from their attitude, I just wanted to cry, they saw that we were with a newborn baby and did not try to do anything, made us run to the reception again and again, the day flew out completely! The room was given, from which the balcony of the neighboring room is visible, not only does it spoil the view very much, but it also turned out that at night this balcony has a backlight and the lamp shines directly into the window! The curtains are all wrinkled and scary, and I don't want to straighten them, and I want to see the sea in the morning, but no... As an apology, we brought a saucer! with 1 mandarin, 1 apple, 1 peach and half a sprig of grapes... it would be better not to be ashamed, even unpleasant ...
The older children of 14 and 15 years old also added, they went to the deep pool, and they were kicked out, saying that it was only for adults, go to the kindergarten. And the children's pool turned out to be 90 and 120cm deep, and our son's height was 180cm!!! This is bullying! There is no normal pool for families with children!!! There is simply nothing for children to do! The territory of the micro is small!
Oh my God! And that's not all! The next day, my husband's parents arrive at 7 a.m., who are 83 years old!!! Which I also warned the hotel in advance that very old people would arrive. What do you think?! Of course, there is no room, wait, we are cleaning... as a result, it took them 5 hours to clean the room, until 12 o'clock in the afternoon, deeply old people sat on a bench and waited.
What can I say, the hotel is absolutely not customer-oriented, one hassle and spoiled rest, the rooms are destroyed, even though the hotel is new, a drawer just fell out in our room and hung - it doesn't work, dirty pillows are the norm, disgusting, wrinkled scary curtains, lack of a pool for children who can swim. The only plus of this hotel is a lot of diverse and sooo delicious food, and that's it. We will never come here again. And we have two more weeks to relax with them, I just want to go to another hotel.
