Of the advantages, I will note only clean new underwear. We stayed 2 times on the 3rd floor, but I did not see such rooms as in the photo. The question is rather to the owner:
How can such a historic hotel be ruined by "such a renovation"!!
Uncomfortable beds, old doors, old keys, not maps, linoleum, light like in an office! And what an inconvenient plumbing! It seems like you're watching everything new, but it's so disgusting and uncomfortable.Even the price doesn't save you. The staff is good, but the sediment is unpleasant.

The old Soviet hotel . There was no air conditioning in our room, there were no masking nets on the windows, so it was not possible to open the windows. It is very hot and stuffy because of this. The refrigerator was not working. The bed and linen are old, as are the furniture. The rooms are clean. I didn't catch wifi unless I went out into the hallway.

Comrades, the only thing that comes to my mind is that this is complete.
I chose based on reviews, realizing that the city is small and a certain level cannot be expected. But the reality is even worse: not only was the room not booked for us, although there was correspondence after confirming the reservation, the hotel clarified the check-in again the day before, the presence of this correspondence in the future allowed us to check in, because, as I already mentioned, no one was waiting for us in the end.
The room is a disaster, in my opinion. Unsanitary conditions and devastation. Look at the photos better. You need to understand that this is COMFORT even! Although we booked a standard room with two beds on purpose, we were settled here, seeing such a tin even in a room of a higher class, of course, I did not go to change 😅
There are a couple of channels on TV and those with creepy ripples.
There is no hair dryer. Various kinds of insects on the walls, lamps, A dirty sleeping set, a blanket without a duvet cover at all, and it was not even on the bed, but in the closet (but don't worry- it's also full of yellow spots). The sink drain didn't work at all
The audibility of the neighbors and the corridor is critical. On the day of departure (thank the gods, we had to spend only 1 night here), at 4 a.m. we noted the complete absence of HOT WATER! No, no, the hot tap was working, and there was no planned shutdown in the city, it's just icy, even for 20-30 minutes we waited for it like a faithful Hachiko, but in vain. So a shower that provides you with the blue look of a plucked chicken is guaranteed, however, at 5 a.m., when we decided to wash our hands, she still went, like us and we from this hotel hell. How many hotels and apartments (including in Belarus) have not been visited, we have not seen this yet 👍 They are great here, I give them the first place in my personal anti-rating
I've scraped together a couple of advantages for you: the city center, high ceilings, a pleasant view from the window of the trees on the street (3rd floor), however, it's worth considering the noisy street, a refrigerator, a surprisingly comfortable bed.
But all the same, all the time there was a feeling that, having sat down somewhere, you would catch all the diseases known to mankind🙂
Therefore, I recommend that if you decide to visit Polotsk, it is better to do it completely passing through, and try to find something better in Vitebsk for the night, because if this has the highest rating ..😅

We accommodated relatives at the Dvina hotel, we were very satisfied with the room, it was modern, cozy and new. Upon request, guests could take a hairdryer, kettle and iron at the reception.Very friendly staff, the relatives said that next time they would stay only at the Dvina Hotel.

We were passing through Polotsk, we decided to stay overnight, because the road is long.According to reviews, they chose the Dvina hotel - and did not regret it for a second.A very nice room.We took a one-room with a double bed, more than enough for one night.Room with new furniture, new bed linen.The room is very clean, the maids are great, they do their job conscientiously.In general, very polite receptionists work at the hotel, quickly guided us to local attractions and where to have a delicious meal.I didn't have to go far, right in the hotel building there is an awesome restaurant with very tasty cuisine.
In the morning, we drank a cup of delicious coffee at the reception and went on our way in a good mood.Thank you to the Dvina Hotel for being there.

A room with "increased" comfort (I will attach a photo) costs 85 bel.rub. for a day, but eviction up to 12 (surcharge for late eviction (up to 14) 45 rubles), to the question why I pay for a day, but I am here for less than a day, I received the answer "we have such rules, pay extra".

Excellent reception. It seems to me that it was only because of the girl that we ended up renting a room on the 3rd floor. Arriving in the city and parked next to the hotel, although we did not think that we would stop))) quickly running there, just for the sake of interest + find out the cost and available room. The girl charmed us, and we decided to stay. Although she whispered that there was no TV in the room. Ha, but we don't need it))) it is clean, cozy and the view from the window is good. If Polotsk were even more interesting, then we would definitely spend the second night there!

We stayed at the hotel for the May holidays. There are no children's beds - they were taking their own. The rooms are very cold, they asked for extra. blankets. The towels are all torn. There is a pile of old furniture in the hallway, and tiles have fallen off in the hall. The cleaners reach the room every other day.
One of the advantages is a good location and friendly staff at the reception, who tried to help in solving emerging issues

There is no air conditioning on the dance floor and in the hall, it's just terrible- everyone is wet, stinking, well, is it possible to mock! The music is cool, up to 2, you can have time to eat and dance. The food is average, nothing special, only the shish kebab chicken is delicious, but the thigh fillet is difficult to spoil.

We rented a junior suite for a day with a family of three people. Not bad. It's even good. It's worth Three stars. Quite a fresh renovation in the room. A room on the third floor with a TV, a kettle, a refrigerator and a balcony overlooking the square with a fountain. There is an elevator. But we walked up the stairs more. She's really cool. We liked everything. They were accepted with the dog without question, immediately and with pleasure settled. It was very important for us. They get another one for that. In total, they are 4🌟 from us. A very friendly and helpful young man at the reception. There is also ice cream and water at the reception, which is very important when it's +29 outside. A cafe and a restaurant are located near the hotel on both sides. Everything is very tasty, fast and quite pleasant prices. We recommend that you definitely look here.
But of course there are small disadvantages in the hotel room....this is the absence of mosquito nets on the windows (it is not possible to open the windows as it gets dark, as mosquitoes, moths and cobwebs fly...on which huge spiders sit in the evenings). There is no fan or air conditioner. And again....about spiders...since I don't like them (I'm afraid and maybe this is also very important for someone as well as for me), please improve the cleaning of the room specifically from the web).
As a result ... I liked everything, in general we recommend it and probably we will definitely check in again. Thanks

We checked into the hotel at night, immediately offered us a room, the only thing was that, surprisingly, there was no way to change money at night in the whole city, so we were worried that we would stay the night on the street, but we settled in without problems, quickly and in a cozy room. The hotel building is large, with a gorgeous staircase, but there is also an elevator. In general, it was comfortable to spend the night, in the morning all the cafes in the area are closed, you need to wait 10 hours to have breakfast and drink coffee, but we were kindly provided with a kettle at the reception.
We will be happy to stop here again.

The location is in the city center, parking is available. The hotel is in a Soviet-era building (palaces of culture) the staff is polite, they were allowed to stop by before check-in time) there is no kitchen, there is a refrigerator in the room.
The room itself is large, double bed, sofa, toilet with shower + hallway with wardrobe. I recommend it!
