The hotel is new, you can feel it right away. There is a warm swimming pool. The breakfasts are standard. Bathrobes, slippers, a kettle in the rooms, sun beds and umbrellas on the beach. That's where the advantages end. On the downside, it's very noisy. The air hockey, standing in the middle of the first floor, does not allow you to absolutely relax and unwind in the room. There is no sound insulation in the rooms, you can hear everything. For 3 days, not a rest in the room, but the agony of noise on the ground floor. Washing supplies were at the entrance, but in 3 days they never added soap, shampoos, gels, paste. The location is away from the main recreation areas. There are no beach towels. If you are used to comfort on vacation, I do not recommend visiting the hotel, despite its novelty.

We planned to relax in this hotel in June 2022, booked a room back in February at the booking office and after we contacted the hotel to pay the prepayment, problems began.At first they didn't see our reservation, they said there were no rooms!Then, lo and behold, I got a call back from the hotel reservation department and was told that we had moved everything here, searched and found you a room (nonsense!!!).Well, we agreed that everything was fine with our armor, I was about to transfer money, when they called again and said that do you see if we have a price for 2 adults only (we booked 2 adults and a child of 5 years old).I send a screen of the reservation where it is written in black and white that 2 adults and a child of 5 years old, they in response discount the price of the hotel and there is no such price now, pay according to the price!!!So I booked in February in advance, so that it would be cheaper!!During the conversation, I was rudely told that even if I came with my armor, I would still be forced to pay more!!!The result is as follows:it's just that the hotel has now decided to cut down more money, that's all, what nonsense I always book at the booking there was no problem with anyone!!!The desire to go there with such an attitude immediately disappeared.The question immediately arises what is going on in the hotel, even if reservations are canceled and additional payments are required!!!

Clean hotel, 10 minutes walk to the sea, equipped beach with its own sun beds. Excellent breakfasts, there is plenty to choose from. It takes about 10 minutes by minibus to get to Staraya Gagra.
Cleaning every day in the room, there are two elevators, a nice pool for children.

We have only been back from vacation in Abkhazia for three days and I remember looking for people's reviews myself before the trip. Therefore, I decided to write a review about the Empire Hotel, in which we actually lived. I must say right away that I will rate the hotel by 5 points, as I think it is very good for Abkhazia. But I will also tell you about the disadvantages.
We booked via Instagram and there were no problems with the check-in. The hotel is new, it opened only on May 23, 2021, and this is its main advantage for me personally. We liked the room. Everything is new and clean. There is a refrigerator and a kettle in the room. We didn't have a safe. There are two chairs, a table, a rope and clothespins on the balcony. There are two dressing gowns hanging in the closet. They promised to change the bed linen every 4 days, but they never changed it for us. We didn't have a tragedy on this topic, so it's just a fact. Towels are changed every day. But we didn't really need it, so when the cleaner came with us, we only asked to change the foot towel. Since there is no fence in the shower in the bathroom and when washing your hair, all the water spreads through the bathroom.
The bathroom has shower gel, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Shampoo and gel were added to us every other day, but the soaked soap was not changed until they asked for it themselves. They gave me one toilet paper. And if there's just a little bit left, then they didn't put the second one on when cleaning anyway. Therefore, we often had to take the toilet ourselves from the cleaner. Fortunately, she is on the floor from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We lived on the 4th floor and had a view of the mountains. Of course, the building in front of the hotel gets in the way a little, but thank God you can see the mountains from our floor. Those who live below will have a view of the wall.
We paid for accommodation with breakfast. The breakfasts are delicious: several types of cereals, pancakes or fritters, cottage cheese casserole, fried eggs, very tasty baked vegetables of all kinds (eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower), cheeses, sausage, ham, fresh vegetables and herbs, various salads, bananas, grapefruit, medlar, sausages or sausages, cottage cheese, jam of several types baking and many other things that I haven't even tried. but it was and looked quite appetizing. Of course, sometimes you have to ask for something. Then black tea (there is especially some kind of problem with it), then sugar. But if you're not in a hurry, then there's no problem. Leaving for the tour early in the morning, we asked for a lunch box and we were packed (sandwich, yogurt, juice, bun, tomato). Everything is edible. We sometimes went for lunch and dinner. The prices are adequate and everything is very tasty. Special thanks to the cook and the staff of the canteen!
The pool is warm and clean. There are sun beds. But they stand very close and right under the air conditioners, which always drip water. In the evening, you can swim until 22.00. The pool and the building are beautifully illuminated.
It takes about 7 minutes to walk to the sea at a leisurely pace. On the beach, they give out an umbrella and a sunbed when you give the password. It was disappointing that no one tells you about changing your password, and on the final day of rest, when we came, they told us that the password had been changed. It was good that we had the room key with us - we were given sunbeds. But we often handed it over at the reception and no one would have believed us without the key. And going back for the password is somehow not ice (
The reception is very friendly. We always helped to call a taxi, extend the room on the day of departure and resolve any issues that arise.
The bar sells wine, champagne, ice cream, coffee, cold lemonades, fruits, desserts, beer, cocktails. Prices are not much higher than store prices. The bartenders are friendly. The cocktails are delicious.
By the way, there is no light or water in the hotel from 3 to 5 in the morning. So keep this in mind if you have a departure at night.
By the way, there is a children's room and children's animation. My child has grown up a long time ago, but I saw that the children are engaged and they are very happy. They play, dance, even made cotton candy in front of us.
We got to Staraya Gagra by taxi. But there are cafes with music and dancing not far from the hotel, so it won't be boring. Gagra market is nearby, you can buy fruits, vegetables, spices.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay at the Empire Hotel! Most of all, I was afraid of rotovirus, which is feared in Abkhazia. We've passed!
Of the cons, which were a little annoying (but by no means spoiled the rest):
- the smell from the sewer
- no fence in the shower
- there is no way to adjust the installation of the shower. He hangs himself very high and splashes all over the bathroom
- there is only one mirror in the room and that is in the bathroom (for girls, of course, it is not convenient)
- beach towels cannot be taken to the beach
- audibility in the hotel (you can hear all the crying and running children, as well as talking loudly on the phone on the balconies)
- the view from the room is still conditionally on the sea or mountains (in fact, on the pool or the wall of the house)
- there is no safe (but we had both documents and money in place)

A great new hotel. We settled our company in neighboring rooms on the 6th floor, one with a sea view, the other opposite with a mountain view. All rooms have balconies and are spacious. The breakfasts are rich and delicious. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Sun beds and umbrellas are provided on the beach, and you can also connect to the Internet at a nearby cafe.
Lunches and dinners are mediocre, soups without meat, but we went to the cafe "Ruslan's" at 50m - I recommend it, everything is delicious and cheap.
The transfer and taxi were taken at the reception, and we were satisfied with the service and cost.

I decided to take a vacation in the middle of June. Due to the circumstances, I began to choose the resorts of the Black Sea.
In my youth, I traveled all along the coast from Adler to Sevastopol and I admit that the most beautiful beaches were on the border with Abkhazia. In the 15 years that I have not been here, Abkhazia has begun to transform.
I monitored the hotels in Gagra, both the Soviet ones that were restored and the new ones. I studied reviews and websites.
Through aggregators like booking and the island, there were no more rooms available in decent hotels. I collected the e-mails of the hotels I liked and sent out a newsletter with a request.
The first response was received from the Empire Hotel. Julia and Natalia from the sales department promptly answered all questions. You can communicate with them via messengers or via direct on Instagram, which is very convenient. This was the first sign for me that the hotel employs professionals in their field. This sign did not let me down. The team at the hotel works smoothly and professionally.
Ivan at the reception told in detail about all the amenities at the hotel, personally showed how to use the safe.
I was most impressed by the maid of our 6th floor, Svetlana, who surrounded us with care from the first day. I kept the room clean, changed towels and everything necessary.
The menu in the dining room is varied and delicious. The products are fresh. The team at the distribution works smartly. My breakfast was included. I paid for lunch and dinner according to the menu. The prices are low. I am attaching a sample receipt.
The hotel administration took care of the organization of a place where to dry bathing clothes. It was very nice, because I usually had difficulties with drying in other hotels.
In every little thing you feel love and care for you. It is difficult to write about all the details, you need to live in a hotel and feel it for yourself.
It's touching to the core. I would like to share my impressions. There is something to compare it with, I travel a lot.
The hotel opened only on May 24, and the system has already been debugged and everything is working. Of course, this is the merit of the manager of the Empire hotel.
Congratulations to the Empire Hotel team on a high start! I am sure that they will always have a 100% load and rooms will need to be booked half a year in advance, because they love their customers here and it is mutual.

Good afternoon, I rested in this wonderful Hotel on August 22nd to August 30th during this period, it was spoiled by the fact that the Hotel staff did not react to my message that by the pool I ran into a fragment from the glass of a Wine glass, they simply did not have any first-aid kit with the first necessary means and the second was severely poisoned in your Dining Room, and about what is indicated on the website that there is a Restaurant with this Hotel, so there is not one, there is just a Dining room where there is no variety of food, as well as on the territory of the pool there were people with children who are not residents of this hotel, it was also indicated on the website that there is a beach from the hotel this is a lie a public beach where they ride ATVs a little almost over my head, I was disappointed with this hotel, as well as the TV did not work in my room, the only thing that saved the view from the balcony to the mountain

We booked 2 rooms in this new hotel, which opened on May 22, 2021, on booking, a family room for 2 people + a child of 2 years and a regular one with a balcony for 1 person, 3 days later the hotel administrator called me and began to persuade me to book rooms directly through them, because it will be cheaper, 5 percent discount, I I refused, then in the next few days they forced me to cancel my reservation, already with the wording that there was an error at the booking, the cost of accommodation at the booking is much higher than directly through the hotel. Thank God I refused, because I was satisfied with this cost anyway and the price difference is completely insignificant. In the end, I made 50 percent of the prepayment, the hotel sent vouchers for accommodation, plane tickets were bought, the child was collected. 2 weeks before arrival, the hotel calls and says that there are no places for you and it doesn't matter that you have booked them and that you even have vouchers on hand, there are just too many people who want to check in on your dates. But if you cancel your booking at the booking office, you promised to talk to the hotel management and move someone else out instead of us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! The girl on the phone says one thing, but in fact you can be thrown even with a small child. In our case, we were lucky that we did not agree to their tricks with the cancellation of the reservation, and managed to find another available hotel for our dates. But if they had booked directly with them, everything could have ended much more deplorably, upon arrival they would simply have been put out of the door with a small child and you can't prove anything to anyone. A TERRIBLE place, avoid it, like a new hotel, but already a deception with check-in, I'm sure there will be even more negative reviews.
