The ancient city of Side is a must-visit, colorful for lovers of antiquity and wonderful for those who like to walk. There is a large parking lot at the entrance. We recommend walking there (~ 15 min.) to the center of the old town, and back to buy a ticket for cars (small cars with 5-6 seats). The ruins are impressive, especially the huge amphitheater (they did not go inside, since 17 euros per person) and the temple of Apollo. Walking through the streets of ancient Side is a pleasure, small stone houses, cafes, shops.

I definitely recommend you to visit. Many objects are under restoration, but you won't waste your time. Very cozy promenade, colorful streets. There are many places for insta-photos. I did not take excursions, as there is a detailed description of each attraction on the Internet. It is easy to get there by taxi and public transport. A taxi from the hotel costs both ways with an expectation of $ 50. And when you get to the bus stop, the taxi drivers stop themselves and offer to take you both ways for $ 20. So if you have 3-4 people, then it's easier to take a taxi, of course. Buses run frequently. I was driving from the village of Kyzyl-gach to Manavgat and there at the bus station I transferred to the bus to Side, which goes exactly to the Ancient city. The fare is 1 dollar or 1 euro or 35 lira. As a result, I spent $4 with transfers.

An atmospheric place! As a lover of the history of the ancient world, I really liked it here. A good place for walking, you can go shopping and just sit on the beach.
It can be seen that the ancient ruins are in good condition, restoration work does not stop, there were many workers in February 2023. Definitely, even if you are passing through Manavgat, it is worth stopping here and touching the history!

The beautiful old part of the city, beautiful streets, stunning views of the sea and streets. Any place is a background for a photo shoot. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops. We were in July, it's very hot, so it's better to go early in the morning or evening. There is a bus station nearby, the drivers will tell you how to get there, where to go back. Minibuses (dolmushi) run frequently.

Catering, of course, is much more expensive than a couple of blocks from this place. As for "antiquity" and "antiquity". It's basically a new model. the free "old thing" is extremely poorly maintained and dirty. And the fact that it has been renovated and you really want to see, for example, the amphitheater, is too big a difference in the cost of visiting for Tourists. I think it is unreasonably expensive.

All bus routes stop near the beginning of the tour, the price of the bus along the Side to the museum starts from 1-2 euros.
Travel by electric car along the entire museum of the ancient city is 15 liras (45 rubles).
It is better to go in the evening, capture the sunset, then turn on the illumination of all the objects of the museum - it is very beautiful.

A very beautiful place, built by the Roman Empire back in the 7th century BC.
We came with an excursion from Coral. The only thing I didn't like was that everyone jumped in and had already left. We did not reach the temple of Apollo, as we saw many shops with bracelets, Turkish sweets and souvenirs, everything is very cheap compared to the shops in the hotel. We bought gifts for our relatives.
And we also advise you to try pomegranate beer, very tasty, sweet and sour, but in principle, almost everyone managed to see even the Turkish wedding.
We will definitely come back here ourselves without an excursion, we were impressed😍

I recommend a self-examination. They were in 2019 and in 2024. Turnstiles have been installed at the entrance to the ancient ruins. Admission is 20 euros (very expensive for a small number of column remains). We went on and at the very end of the ruins (near the sea) there was another entrance, already without turnstiles (or had not yet had time to install) We went in there and took a walk. You can explore the ruins of the library and the square for 30 minutes. Then walk to the temple of Apollo for free (it is very good to take pictures at sunset). There is a beach. Two sun beds with an umbrella of 100 liras in June 2024. Prices in the cafe are certainly high in the 2024 season (at least 1000 - 2000 rubles per person), I warn you - the portions are large, take one serving for two. It is easy to get there on your own. For vacationers in Alanya, you can get from the terminal dolmusha, which is located next to Waikikki (ask dolmush Manavgat) you will be prompted. For tourists from Konakli, Avsallar, and Injekum hotels, get on the highway towards Antalya airport and wave at dolmush with the Manavgat sign. To get to Manavgat (passage Alanya - Manavgat in June 2024 cost 115 turks.liras per person in one direction), at the final otogar Manavgat, transfer to dolmush Antique Side (travel 25 tour.liras), drive 30min. From the terminal, you can walk to the old town in 25 minutes, you can take a train or taxi. I recommend it to anyone who loves historical architecture and good photos. Children under 12 years old will obviously not be interested there, do not torment them, leave them at the hotel

There are more traces of the history of Ancient Greece and Rome in Turkey than in Greece or Italy. Side is a very interesting monument, the achievements of modern archaeology help to literally touch the history. You can see everything in a day, or you can come back every day, you won't get bored. I can't recommend my own hotel, impolite reception at j'adore de lux and no suite.
The meeting from Pegas is also worthless, I do not recommend their tours. But while staying at a hotel near Side, you can use local transport-dolmush and explore the antiquities yourself. The traces of the ancient city, the history in stone, the views of Side at sunset and dawn made the trip memorable and vivid.

The biggest disadvantage is the citywide systems - lanterns and trash cans are in no way connected with these historical objects. In order to take a photo, you have to bend over and pick an angle so that you can't see the protruding street lights of a very prosaic appearance...

It's a very beautiful place. It's just a pity that Pegasus is brought there for an hour, there just isn't enough time to watch, everyone is running.
