The hotel is located strategically and within walking distance of major tourist places.. however the rooms are small, the staff is extremely busy with constant check in and check out.. the breakfast is great.. i hppe post renovation there will be a massive change..

The most famous landmark hotel in Almaty. There are restaurants at the bottom and a bar on the top floor for amazing views of the city. Polite and multi-lingual staff, good housekeeping and rooms of a nice size.

Excellent hotel, very welcoming, we had a wonderful stay. Staff is highly efficient and proactive. The room was good and comfortable, moreover, the housekeeping staff was also efficient. The buffet breakfast had various options and was very good.

Great location, with easy access to restaurants, public transport and Shymbulak mountain. Best prices in Almaty for 4* hotel though it shows its age, renovated rooms are more expensive but offer modern and better furnishings. Souvenirs shop has beautiful and wide selection of gifts with Kazakh decorations

A magical hotel. You can definitely relax here and enjoy the whole miracle. The rooms are clean, spacious, and they are often cleaned. The location is quite convenient. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Only and only 5 stars

Interesting place. During the Soviet era it was a gorgeous hotel probably, but now it looks really outdated. Old rooms, doors, halls. However, the location itself isn't bad. Almaty is known for not quite good quality of air but this part of the city is good and close to Medeo and Chimbulak ski resort.

Great hotel! I stayed in February 2024. Economy room, booked on the official website for 6 nights 124 thousand tenge. I wanted to come back in the summer of 2025, but the prices were biting. As I found out later, the main entrance is under renovation. The room is small, one 1.5 beds was more than enough for me. A kettle and a refrigerator are provided on request. I didn't ask for a refrigerator, the kettle was brought right away. I 've been saving you all week with hot tea in the evenings ☕ The view of the mountains from the room is the best memory 😍 Once I even caught the dawn right from behind the mountains! You can see the TV tower and Kok-Tobe Park. The view of the city from the corridor loses significantly. The breakfast is great, the choice is great. You could even ask for an omelet with small additives. Different hot dishes and desserts every day. I was even married, I managed to taste the national sweet before buying! The breakfast room has a small glazed terrace overlooking the street. There are also cafes downstairs and restaurants on the upper floors. Breakfast can be ordered in the room for an additional fee. My tripod leg broke during the trip, and the technicians were immediately called in to help me glue it back on. 😅 Darkhan's administrator left only positive impressions!! If the room rate is suitable for me, I will definitely choose the Kazakhstan hotel!
