A great hotel for a holiday. We checked in 6 hours earlier on arrival right away, it's super. We lived right by the sea, a chalet on the 2nd floor with a balcony. It's good that you can change lunches for dinner and vice versa. The beach is clean. If there were still free buses to Dubai, it would be super at all!!! Well, a little old of course!!! Otherwise, everything is fine.

Sharjah Carlton Hotel - a ticket to this hotel was given to us for a wedding. They say they don't look a gift horse in the mouth. We're still going to take a little look. So, in order:
1. Location and infrastructure.
It is located on the edge of the industrial zone and the residential part of the city. You leave the hotel - there is nowhere to walk nearby, only along the road. You can, of course, walk to the embankment (about a 15-minute walk along a busy highway), but the October heat and humidity, in principle, does not encourage long walks down the street. You get wet in a couple of minutes. And even after sunset it doesn't get any easier. The hotel has several shops with very active touts. They didn't come in, I won't say anything. There is a good shop within a 5-minute walk, it is easier to get to the nearest large supermarket by taxi. But this small shop was enough for us: almost everything is there, even Russian goods and a small department with souvenirs. Very tasty mango. Nearby there are several cafes, KFS, but nothing particularly impressed.
2. Food.
Food in the emirates is generally a separate topic, you have to go on vacation with sausage. The hotel took only breakfast and this is sadness-sadness. By the 10th day, even scrambled eggs did not climb. Fry everything in a different oil, and it's very tasteless. The breakfasts are very meager. A couple of plates of fresh vegetables, a couple of cereals, croissants, bread, eggs are usually boiled and sometimes an omelet or scrambled eggs. We preferred to eat with delivery or, as a last resort, kfs (the original strips, by the way, are very peppery, I recommend taking a basket if you don't like spicy)
3. Maintenance.
The service is the only thing I really liked. Very friendly staff, even without understanding English or Russian sincerely try to help. Russian Russian is sometimes easier to say, because the hotel is 80-90% full of Russians and the staff has already memorized the main words. There are several Russian-speaking employees at the reception and towel delivery who can help solve your questions.
4. Distance from attractions.
40-60 minutes by taxi to the Gold Market. There is an amusement park 20-30 minutes away. And about 1-1.5 hours to Dubai Mall. There is a free bus from the hotel to Dubai Mall. Goes once a day with the condition of recruiting a small group (you need to check at the reception).
5. Entertainment.
Everything is simple here - there are none) There are no animations, performances, discos. There are no discos in principle in Sharjah. The hotel has a communal swimming pool, a pool for children, a paid tennis court and a ping pong table. Table tennis is free, we played with dead rackets 2 times, teenagers came after us and killed the rackets to the end. This is the end of this entertainment. In the sea in the evening you can catch small crabs. Out of boredom, not only children do this, but also adults.
6. Alcohol.
Who is used to relaxing, sipping cocktails or beer - this is not about Sharjah.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited here. We bought wine to celebrate a birthday in the Dubai Mall. The girl at the checkout of the store specified what we would take to the hotel, because they have special bags for the subway. We said we were going by taxi to Sharjah, she wrapped each bottle separately for us so that they wouldn't ring, because there might be a radical driver who could take us to the police instead of the hotel to be checked. It is not allowed to import more than 2 liters of alcohol into Sharjah. Muslims cannot drink alcohol, they take a passport when buying, the guide did not give his passport for purchase, because then he may have problems with the police because of this. Naturally, there is no alcohol in the hotel from the word at all.
7. Number of rooms.
The main room is not bad, it looks quite fresh, but it is poorly cleaned and very dirty. There are burnt and scorched places on the floor. The cleaning is so bad that we found an earring. Someone else's hair is constantly clinging to the legs on the carpet. It's sooo unpleasant, I'll tell you, to find a lump of some kind of tangled hair between your fingers. And then it all drags to the bed. There are no slippers. There are no bathrobes either, only towels are brought. The mini-bar is empty by default. They bring water, tea, sugar, napkins, toilet paper and hygiene products. For some reason, they are always trying to get a room for the future, even if nothing has ended, they still add it, even though there is no place to put it anymore. The bathroom is a terrible horror. There is mold on the ceilings and curtains, very dirty and shabby. It is unpleasant to go into the bathroom, because it is an icy room, if you do not put a towel on the floor, then the bones of the legs begin to ache from the cold. Nothing dries in it, although there is a rope for drying. The horror is terrible, still goosebumps from the disgust of the room. There is no water pressure, there is no hot water either, it always runs barely warm. I liked it in the main room: a good bed, good blackout curtains, powerful air conditioning, TNT is on TV).
8. Feedback.
Since we didn't book the hotel, we had to contact the hotel to clarify which room we got. We were presented with a standard with a view of the city. In the description of the hotel, the standard comes only with 2 single beds. For more than a month we corresponded with the hotel by mail, we tried to improve the living conditions, pay extra, and take a room with 1 large bed. They have not achieved anything by mail, they answer extremely unwillingly and rarely. Right before departure, they finally replied that they were waiting for us and we would solve everything on the spot. On the spot we were given a standard room with 2 single beds, although with a sea view (of course, for an additional fee). They said it would take them a day to move us to a room with a normal bed. They kept their word, moved us and we were in an acceptable room until the end of the vacation. Our story is not alone, we have heard on the beach more than once that they also took a day to solve the issue of beds for children. Although everyone is trying to contact and resolve this issue in advance.
9. Beach and sea.
The sand is white, clean. There are not enough sunbeds on the beach in the morning, they only stay by the pool and then not always. They give beach towels, but only 1 time a day. the 2nd time was given, but warned that it was not supposed to be so. Sometimes scooters come, you can drive, prices are cheaper than in Sochi, by the way, and you ride longer). The sea is boiling water, who likes to lie in the bath for 3 hours - this is here. Basically, this is what they do here, they go into the sea and hang. Not as salty as the Mediterranean, the eyes do not sting much. In the morning it is difficult to go swimming without glasses, the sun and its reflecting surfaces are very blinding. The coast is flat, it's a very long walk to the depth, which is not bad for little kids. There is only one sadness in the sea - jellyfish. Quite often they sting, it does not hurt very much (I compare it with the jellyfish of the Black Sea, where the burn does not go away for 2 days), it looks like a wasp bite, but still very unpleasant.
10. Summary:
I wouldn't have come back. Very boring, tasteless and dirty. The hotel is for parents with a small child or pensioners (of whom the majority).

We rested at this hotel in July 2023. The room was in a chalet. The room is very tired. The plumbing is not new.
Room cleaning is very mediocre. Towels are changed every day. The shower set is replenished daily. There is a body balm, of very decent quality.

. The hotel has almost no territory. There is a tennis court. Two pools.
A huge plus of the hotel is the location. The purest Sea with the purest beach right at the doorstep of the hotel.
If you are relaxing in the cool season, the center and the main attractions can be easily reached on foot.
7km from the hotel there is a bus station, from where buses depart to Dubai every 20 minutes.
At the checkout, you need to buy a nol card for 20 derham. It will also be useful to you in the Dubai metro. The card is valid for 5 years and for all types of transport.
Since we were in July and it was very hot from the hotel to the station, we took a taxi for 15 derham.
Within walking distance - 5 min. 2 stores. If you are not lazy and walk for 15 minutes, you will come to a large Nesto store. Prices are slightly lower here. On the 2nd floor they sell clothes and shoes.
About food: we had breakfast and dinner. The breakfasts are monotonous, but you will not stay hungry. Everyone will find food to their liking. Dinner is varied. Always fish, chicken and beef. Everything is delicious. The only negative is that there is no ordinary water. It is paid. Bottle 0.5- 8(!)derham., 1.5 l.-12(!!)derham. For comparison, 1.5 liters of water in the store is 2 dirhams.
In general, the hotel is for the unpretentious. We were driving, specifically across the sea, to get out of the room and fall into the sea! it's super here!

It used to be a decent hotel, but now it's in complete disrepair! They save on everything, the linen is old, washed, gray already! The food also dropped to the level of a 2 star hotel. But we must pay tribute to the fact that all the sunbeds on the beach were changed. The upper floors of the main building are being renovated, so many people are staying in bungalows, although there are rooms available on the lower floors. It was the worst hotel in all my travels. The noise insulation is terrible. Everything is old . It seems to me that the balcony has never been cleaned. There's a fungus in the tub.
The food in the restaurant is worse than in Cuba. Everything is in strange sauces, you can only eat vegetables and fruits, but there are not so many of them. Baking generally leaves much to be desired .
One plus is the beach and the sea. There are always towel beds by the pool starting at 7 a.m., even if it's cold that day.

We had a rest from November 8th to 15th. It looks like they painted the fourth star for themselves . This hotel is barely even worth a three. The rooms are shabby, only TNT from Russian channels on TV, beach towels are torn, bed linen is dilapidated, the smell of dampness, in order to take an umbrella on the beach, you need to get up at half past six, the beach is opened at 7 a.m., and in the evening they close, so don't dream of sitting by the sea in the evening, well, if only you go through a nearby construction site.
Now about nutrition : everything is very sad ((( .The choice is more than modest, unripe tomatoes, only watermelon from fruits and that is not sweet, coffee from the tank, pastries for breakfast are the same every day. It's not tasty.
Of the advantages, only the sea, but this is not the merit of the hotel. I categorically DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!!!

We stayed at the hotel from February 13 to February 21, three of us: 2 adults and a child of 13 years old, a room in the main building on the 3rd floor (in fact it is the 4th floor), room 305, with sea view)
When choosing a hotel, the priorities were:
1) cost,
2) location within walking distance of attractions,
3) preferably 1 coastline (due to mass dissatisfaction on the part of tourists with the quality of transfer from hotels remote from the sea to the beach),
4) the possibility of providing 3 full-fledged beds,
5) HB power supply,
6) preferably - animation.
According to the parameters, the hotel fully satisfied all requests, except for animation. But with the animation option, hotels are either much more expensive, or in emirates far from the main attractions. And the hotel doesn't have its own territory, except for the beach, but we didn't really need it.
Check-in. It passed quickly (there was a late check-in). Deposit - $ 100 or a passport (keep in mind, if you are planning a trip to the Gulf of Oman - across the border with the state of Oman - only with a passport) - if you left your passport, they will only give you a $ 100 deposit in return, even on the last day of your stay.
Number. The hotel was built in 1972, so everything, of course, does not shine with novelty, but there are no unpleasant odors, everything is in working condition, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the carpet is warm to the feet). I was very pleased with the mosquito net in the balcony opening (mosquitoes periodically flashed on the balcony in the evening). Wishes for the hotel: instead of the Freedom channel, there is the Russian channel - the First / Russia / Russia 24 / Culture (the main contingent in the hotel are Russians, campaigning does not work (!), and there would be more positive emotions). With sound insulation, of course, there is a problem (maybe an interior door between the rooms), in general, we listened to Arab neighbors with children for 2 nights in a row until 2 hours, until patience burst - I went, explained to the father of the family that the time was already late, he apologized and the noise decreased). The lighting is really gloomy, but we didn't feel much discomfort from it. Linen, despite the humid air from the sea, dried quickly enough on the balcony (it is better to take clothespins with you). The hair dryer and kettle worked fine, the air conditioning system seems to be there, but we didn't use it (it was fine - neither cold nor hot). Room cleaning is great! Towels are changed every day, carpet is cleaned, garbage is thrown out, soap accessories and a set of tea-coffee-cream are replenished. The adapter from Euro sockets is 1 piece per number, but 2 devices are inserted into it, so we didn't experience any special problems either. Wi-Fi perfectly catches throughout the hotel and 100 meters from it on the road.
Food.
Everything is very tasty, except sausage). Breakfast - from 8 to 10, lunch - from 13 to 15, dinner - from 19 to 20.30.
They don't give you a dry ration with them (they explain this by taking care of the stomach), but if you warn in advance, they will leave the whole buffet neatly folded for you in a bag, in containers - I don't eat so much in the restaurant)))
Breakfast: oatmeal porridge, omelette, tomatoes / cucumbers/ peppers, sausages, processed cheese/pasta/sliced, jam/honey, yogurt, canned fruit, tea/coffee/juices are not "jupi" (!) - mango/apple/apple/peach.
Lunch/dinner (can be changed): salads, tomatoes/cucumbers/peppers, sauces, mashed soup, potatoes/spaghetti/grilled vegetables, chicken/fish/some other meat (I only ate fish:), watermelon, cakes, tea/coffee (juice for lunch and dinner is not offered).

Sea and beach. We swam for 4 days - the weather was wonderful, the sea was surprisingly comfortable for swimming (!), the child swam in the pool - warm, heated. The sand is gorgeous, the entrance to the sea is shallow for a long time, which is good for kids) There are always free sun beds, umbrellas - if you're lucky, beach towels are given (a fine of 50 dirhams for loss), the sun is scorching - a sunscreen is required! We sunbathed from 9.00 to 16.00. It is quite possible to swim until 18.00, but already the breeze is unpleasant, at 18.00 the sun sets. For 4 days there were waves, a red flag, a man running along the shore with a whistle, and in a nearby hotel as well. But on the public beach, which is 5 minutes away from us, apparently there is no ban on swimming, because there were splashing in the waves. They say that some dangerous undercurrent these days "sucks" into the sea, so it is undesirable to swim in the waves. We just took excursions for these days, so everything turned out great) On the Gulf of Oman, too, these days it was different: we went there on a boat trip on the 20th - everything is fine, without waves, and the day before the tourists canceled the trip because of the not calm sea (so here - as the map will fall, look at the forecast).
There is no animation. From entertainment for free: sauna, small tennis, a ball for volleyball-basketball-water floor, gym - girls and boys at different times. Lawn tennis - the playground itself is free, rackets and balls are for money.
Currency exchange. The rate at the hotel was 3.55; a $ 1 bill - at the rate of 3.15, there are no exchange fees
(in a bank in Sharjah, the rate is 3.65, but with an exchange fee it turned out to be 3.52)))
The staff is friendly! He does not fawn, does not impose himself, but is always ready to help and smiles in response to a smile) There are some who speak Russian. Special thanks to Denis - he helps with luggage, but his place is definitely at the Reception (and he knows Russian well enough, and is always ready to help - he does not want to go to the "administrators" himself). In the restaurant, the boys are great fellows - they work quickly and smoothly.
In general, we are 100% satisfied with the hotel!!!

Mid-September 2023. We were at the hotel at 9. We checked in at 13-50. There are no complaints about the number. Air conditioning is cold, textiles are normal, safe, refrigerator, kettle,there is a set of tea and coffee. There are enough hangers, shampoo, gel, caps, lotion, cotton swabs are available. They bring 1.5 liters of water to the room, regardless of the number of people in the room. The room in the main building with a view of the city, the mosque and the road is audible. There are no dryers and ropes. But there is an ironing board and an iron.
The food is decent. Chicken, beef, fish, potatoes, pasta, rice, 3 salads, tea, coffee, sweets. Watermelon. Canned peaches, pears and pineapple for breakfast. There is a strong air conditioner in the dining room, blowing in the back and neck. There are not always enough places for everyone. Dishes come across with chips and in lipstick. They give out one napkin, a spoon, a knife, a fork. This way you eat everything, meat and fish, watermelon and pies. There are no teaspoons.
On the beach: 2 showers, deck chairs are mostly broken, mattresses are torn, dirty, salted and already crunching. There is no Beachboy. There are no decking, the sand is fire, the sea is hot (+34). There is no toilet. There are no changing rooms, no bar. It is not allowed to bring food and drinks to the beach. Towels are issued from 7 to 19, according to cards. It is not possible to take towels to the room, so towels are sunbathing on the sun loungers. If your card is left in the evening and the towels are not handed over, a fine. Places on the beach and by the pool should be occupied at dawn.

We lived in Chalet 964 room! The view from the window 🔥Gave 4 stars, but with a bold minus! Until the hotel management updates the bed linen, beds and mattresses, 4* people will never deliver! I think everyone likes to sleep in comfort! Occidental and no one will kick me out, of course I would choose a vacation in Lavender, 50 thousand rubles cheaper than Carlton and the hotel is new, the rooms are bright and the linen is clean! The food is sure as good!

I express my gratitude to the hotel staff. Arrived late (or early) at one o'clock in the morning. We met very well, friendly. At first they provided a room on the 1st floor in the chalet, but we asked for another one on the 2nd floor. Changed without any problems. The room is very cozy, it has everything for a wonderful holiday, Internet, a cozy balcony (even an ironing board with an iron), Enjoyed an amazing view from the balcony to the Persian Gulf, listened to the sound of the sea. Now you understand..is it possible to continue its description.Cleaning is daily, but bad..the floors are dirty, I had to ask them to wash better. The breakfasts are meager..very..canned fruits, omelets, pancakes, cupcakes are not cooked.. but good dinners. Fish, chicken, meat, salads, pastries...from fruits only watermelons. The plus of this hotel is the beach. You can leave the chalet in a swimsuit and go straight to the sunbed, which by the way should be occupied at dawn, because by 7 am it is already difficult to find it - Russian grandmothers do not doze)By the way, most of the sunbeds have been hiking since 1972, too, and all are broken))There is nothing to do in the evening, there is nowhere to go, except to pet cats on the territory - there are a lot of them there. If you leave the hotel to the left, after 200 m there is a supermarket with everything you need.. To the right to the ring there are cafes and an oceanarium further away. In general, if you do not pay attention to all the nuances, then it is quite possible to have a good rest.

We had a rest in February 2024. I must say, I'm not particularly picky. But this hotel is just terrible. I don't know how he was able to get 4 stars, it's a maximum of 2 and that's a stretch. We lived in a chalet. The room itself is small, dark, the air is musty, everything is old, broken, smelly, like in some God-forsaken sanatorium. The kettle is broken, the air conditioner roars like a radioactive plane, the refrigerator smells bad, the bathroom is covered in mold and rust, the water in the toilet is constantly clogged and does not drain. The mattress and pillows were terribly uncomfortable, they could not sleep for hours. I am attaching some photos. Special attention is paid to the beach. There is always a red flag hanging on it and 2 men run along the beach and whistle when someone tries to go into the sea at least knee-deep. One of them whistled right in my face when I tried to explain that I was just standing knee-deep in the sea. The whole vacation I had to go left to the wild beach, or right to the beach of the neighboring hotel. 70% of the sunbeds are broken, see the photo. Umbrellas are also partially broken. The food is nominal and there is very little choice. What's left over from lunch is given for dinner and so on in a circle. The staff is all angry and unfriendly. The rest is ruined. I don't advise you to set foot in this hole anymore. I will not forget this nightmare for a long time.

We rested in this hotel with children for the second time. The first time we were in 2020, we lived in a chalet. In February 2023, they lived in the main building, in a suite with a sea view. The hotel itself is quite simple, but everything is clean and cozy.I recommend taking a room in the main building with a sea view right away. The first time we took the cheapest room, naturally we wanted to settle in the gallery. But for $30, we then moved into a chalet with a sea view. The second time we immediately took a deluxe room, with a sea view in the main building, and we were generally accommodated in a two-room suite with two balconies at no extra charge! We were very pleased. The food is average, the choice is small, but there is always something to eat. But for a child of one and a half years, there is practically nothing except rice, sometimes there was just spaghetti, but more often they are in the form of pasta. Meat is most often insular, so with a baby you need to take something with you just in case. Our porridge in boxes saved us. Of the fruits there was only watermelon and canned peaches, pears, pineapples. Cleaning was done every day, gels, shampoos, tea, coffee, water were replenished daily. The main advantage of the hotel is its location. The first coastline, its own beach, a warm pool, a court, a playground. Dubai is 20 minutes away by taxi. Near the Oceanarium hotel.The staff is very polite! Therefore, in general, I recommend the hotel if you are in the mood to relax, and not to look at the stains on the towels and find fault with the little things.

We were at this hotel from 28.10.2023 to 06.11.2023, we usually rest at the nearby Oriental Sharjah grand hotel, but then we didn't have time to book it and decided to go to this hotel. Well, what can I say, both hotels are declared as 4 stars, but Carlton does not pull for 4, most likely only 3! We were in a chalet, on the 2nd floor with a sea view, the room cleaning is disgusting, the floor is not washed at all, after 5 minutes of walking barefoot after cleaning, the feet were black, the dust is not wiped, too, of course. They put soap, gels, shampoos, sticks, cotton pads, shower caps, toilet paper. On the first evening they saw a cockroach in the room, for me it's a terrible horror, I was very afraid to bring them home. We nailed him, of course, then we nailed two more during two evenings, we didn't see him again. But the very fact of cockroaches caused disgust for this hotel! Then the restaurant. There is food, the choice is small, but you will not stay hungry. For breakfast, porridge, cereal, omelet, boiled eggs, fresh vegetables, a couple of types of cheese and sausage cuts, tea, coffee, rolls, lunch, dinner -mashed soup, mainly rice, pasta, potatoes, meat, fish, chicken, fresh vegetables, salads, also tea, coffee. Only watermelon is fresh, and the rest is canned fruits, well, desserts. The tables are not wiped at all, the crumbs are still lying, it's unpleasant. Their cutlery is probably worth its weight in gold, they are not freely available. They keep them somewhere. That is, they will put a couple of appliances on the table and eat them and soup, and the second, and watermelon, well, or go and ask for clean ones. Well, about the beach - the beach itself is good, wide, there are no breakwaters (namely, I did not consider some hotels because of them), but the beach is poorly cleaned, there is a lot of garbage in the sand, the sunbeds are in terrible condition, all broken, there are not enough of them for such a number of guests, seats are already occupied at 6 am! Otherwise, you will be sitting without an umbrella, which is even less. And mattresses are terrible, greasy, dirty, all stained, it's better without them. And when they are cleaned, apparently they are not even cleaned of sand!Towels are given out once a day, that is, if you go to lunch, for example, you can't take them, and after lunch take dry ones, no, sit on the same ones. They need to be handed over before 19 pm. There is a cafe on the beach, but there is no ice cream or smoothies, I had to run to a nearby hotel. I almost forgot - on the second or third day of our stay at this hotel, we were covered with some small pimples that were still itching! In general, we will definitely not return to this hotel!
