This is the best public beach in Dubai, where you can swim till the sunset. The sea is clean and mostly calm, comparing with other beaches. Many lifeguards, every 100 meters. Free toilets and free public showers are available. More private showers, sunbeds and umbrellas are available for additional fee. There are lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Two parkings are available: free at the surface (although it’s almost full all the time) and underground for additional fee. If you are OK with walking, you can park on the free city parking in the neighbourhood and walk for about 15 mins to the beach.

We were in 4 emirates, on different beaches. I recommend La mer. For me, this beach is the best for several reasons: a gentle entrance, enough space from the buoys to the shore for swimming, a bay = no waves, calm enough. The disadvantage is big, but temporary: all establishments are closed for reconstruction. Only the changing rooms and showers are open. The toilet is obviously not serviced, although people go there... You can buy water on the next street, and through one there are many shops, cafes and restaurants

The main thing is to swim in the morning or after lunch, in the afternoon you can quickly get burned in hot and sunny weather. A lot of rescuers are monitoring safety, one of the disadvantages is that from the moment of sunset, from about 17.30-18 hours, swimming is prohibited. But this is for the safety of tourists, they are driven out of the water with whistles. At night, it is also forbidden to approach the water and walk on the sand - strict laws. Nearby there is a Viva supermarket and a McDonald's - you can have a snack and buy something you need. Prices at Viva are very low, the choice is huge, the air conditioners will instantly cool down after the heat.

Previously, this beach was the most instagrammed beach in Dubai. A flat area was set up, there were many cafes, shops and photo zones. Everything has been closed for a long time and is not working. It was closed due to problems with the sewage system - it was not made according to the standards. A tender for its reconstruction is currently being held. The beach is wild, but some people like it: clear water, practically no people, no boats and speedboats. There are still lifeguards on duty at the beach, you can change clothes in the old cabins that don't close))) It is an ideal place for lovers of silence, lack of amenities and crowds of tourists.

The beach is not in the best condition at the moment, yes, there are lifeguards and security, but the shops and cafes are all closed, there is nowhere to buy water or ice cream. You can comfortably sit under palm trees on the sand, but I would like to be able to rent sun beds. About the toilet, my husband couldn't come in because of a very strong specific ambergris, I didn't even try to get closer than a meter after such a review. I really hope that a full-scale renovation will take place soon and the beach will be one of the best in Dubai again.

I've been to four beaches in Dubai, and honestly, I liked this one and Port la Mer. Soft sand. On Palmbich, the beach is concrete, it feels like it's lightly dusted with sand, but here it's really a sandy beach. We explored the entire La Mer space, a very atmospheric place! By the way, the toilets and the shower are very clean, cleaned all day. Security is in constant motion, and rescuers have been working like clockwork since 8 a.m., especially for parents with young children!

There are greenery along the shore, if you come before 9, then you can throw towels under the bushes. There are also many sun beds with umbrellas. The entry into the water is smooth and shallow. The water is calm, without waves, clean, small fish swim near the shore. In general, the beach will appeal to lovers of a calm, non-crowded place, a sea without waves. There's a construction site nearby, but it didn't stop you from relaxing.

I liked the beach. Beautiful, stylish and clean. There is a shower with a token receiver, but if you go a little further, then there is also a free one. There are a lot of stylish things around in the form of art objects, graffiti and installations. The place is very photogenic and comfortable. I recommend you to visit not only for swimming, but also for walking. I'll update the review. We visited the beach again 9 months later. Sadly, the place is falling into disrepair. The pavilions are closed, it is clear that no one is watching the infrusture, everything is getting old, but at least they are cleaning up and the shower is free at the end of the beach. Apparently someone went bankrupt... Nevertheless, the beach itself is accessible, and the water and sand here are some of the best in Dubai.
