Nice room, large balcony with gorgeous mountain views. A very beautiful courtyard, there is a restaurant downstairs. Good wifi. The only thing I didn't like was the steep stairs. There are many cafes, markets and a waterfall nearby. I liked the New Athos very much.

It's quite good for three stars. The hotel is made entirely of laminated timber - wood everywhere. There's a restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is served in the morning. The choice is minimal - rice porridge or oatmeal, tea or coffee bags, cheesecakes or rarely sausages, bread, butter - you will not die of hunger. A stream flows through the territory and from this, when you are in the room, it seems that it is raining outside. The room has air conditioning, heater, refrigerator, TV, shower, toilet. Wi-fi seems to be there, but weak. It is better to connect in a cafe. Cleaning in a day or two. Bottom line - if you're not looking for big frills and you don't need an elevator, then very good. Have a nice stay. P.s. I had a rest in October and all the rooms were occupied.

The rooms at the hotel are good at first glance, but the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The audibility is simply incredible, you will hear any noises from the neighbors. A broken shower stall. But the most unpleasant thing is the staff at the restaurant. The prices there, by the way, are simply cosmic. We paid for our food and waited for the change, but it was never brought to us. The arrogance of the local staff is simply off the scale. This is a very unpleasant and revealing situation.

Recently returned from vacation, the shower is really in terrible condition, the faucet in the sink dripped all the time, everything is in mold. The bed linen is torn, the pillows from them have one name (the floors are not washed every day, everything sticks to the feet, the chairs on the balcony are terrible, music is screaming from the cafe in the evening, I could not rest for a single day, the music really screams, it would be possible to be quieter, since people in the cafe come to communicate and eat. It's not far to the beach, the sights are also falling by hand, probably these are the only advantages, but I wouldn't come back here anymore.5 thousand rubles a day is not worth it. The restaurant is delicious, but everything is very long, one waitress generally walks with a crooked face and sits with her visitors while they didn't even bring us a menu. I won't say about Wi-Fi, at the border they bought a room for 1100 rubles without calls, with unlimited Internet and just crushed it for the whole family.

Hello! I would like to leave a not entirely positive review on this hotel. The audibility in the room is phenomenal, right down to the whispering in the room from the neighbors above. Constant power outage, several times a day. The administrator was constantly absent from the workplace (a balding man), when addressing him, he was always dissatisfied with something, showed disrespectful attitude towards vacationers! On the plus side, room cleaning is daily, and the staff (maids) have a pleasant attitude. It was a 5-minute walk to the sea, which was very pleasing. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel itself is located in a very beautiful place, and indeed where in Abkhazia there are no beautiful places 👍🏻

Good day to everyone. We are very disappointed with this hotel. It took a long time to choose. I wanted to go to New Athos. The location of the hotel is excellent and that's all its advantages. I want to write in more detail about the disadvantages, I hope that this review will be useful and the owners of the hotel will not be particularly indifferent
1. We lived in a suite, on the 4th floor, there are steep stairs, it is very difficult to lift a suitcase, and then it is very difficult to go down. And very dangerous.
2. The hotel maids obviously do not know what cleaning is. During the 10 days of rest, we changed towels and linen 1 time. At the same time, cleaning the room includes taking out the garbage, putting toilet paper and that's it. They never sat down on the balcony and did not wash it. There are cobwebs, hairs, dust and dirt all around.
3. There is no water. The refrigerator is dirty, it smells. Not defrosted or washed after past guests.
4. There is a decanter and 2 glasses. Everything is dirty and muddy. There is no kettle. There is a cooler on the ground floor. But it is very difficult to walk up such stairs to pour hot water every time.
5. There is trouble with taps and showers. The riser in the shower stall stinks like it's really decomposing. There's nothing to breathe.
6. Near the hotel there is a cafe with a regular concert. There is no silence. However, until 23-00. But it's still the same every day, it's hard.
7. The whole hotel is full of animals. Rooms with ants.
They're everywhere. On dishes, on things in the closet, on towels in the shower, on the bed. It's just awful.
The theater starts with a hanger!!!! The hotel greatly overshadowed the rest. The situation is the same with the restaurant on the ground floor. The menu is huge, but most of the dishes are missing. So draw conclusions!!!!

The restaurant in the hotel was closed for special service all weekend!!! Which means that you will not be allowed to eat there, despite the fact that you are hotel guests. You won't get any breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I do not know what they do with those who have everything included, but I hope that they do not refuse food for the sake of paid groups of tourists. The administrator does not appear regularly, the working time is unknown. There is an age-old fungus and ants in the shower room. Please do not ask for towels more often than once every three days. Otherwise, you will hear from the cleaning that they have a lot of arrivals and no towels. Tuck the blanket into the duvet covers yourself too. It's not very pleasant, although we have hands and of course we can do it ourselves, but still, we wanted a better attitude towards the guests. In general, if the location is important to you, not the service, then you are here.

We were vacationing with my husband at this hotel for the first time.My impressions were ambivalent... A very chic area, a good restaurant with delicious food, the advantages end there... The shower stall in the room is broken with traces of mold, cobwebs everywhere.Wi-Fi is almost not working, the TV was not shown either. It is dirty, there has never been a cleaning in 3 days, the bed is stained, gray and torn, the shower cabin is broken and dangerous. The restaurant was not working, they took a thermos flask, sat outside drinking tea from their appliances, a girl ran out and scolded that these were restaurant tables and do not litter here. In general, I do not recommend it at all. And there are steep stairs, and boiling water is outside, so if you want to drink tea in the room, you will run with mugs.

The interior of the hotel is not bad, everything is bright and hidden inside. The staff is very good, they help in everything, like native people.
The positive side ended there.
There are a lot of disadvantages.
The first is wifi-it's just dead. Every day, all people walk up the stairs in search of the coveted Internet, sit on the steps to get information, but nothing works, I haven't seen such a high-quality connection for a long time.
The second is audibility ! I think in dormitories, and then, there is no such audibility as in this hotel.
You will hear all the neighbors in all corners of the room! All trips to the toilet, showers, conversations, TV, morning sex- and even how people yawn! In general, this hotel turned out to be a living hell for me! It's good that the reservation was for 1 night. If you want to relax, then you definitely are not here.

We had a rest in August 2021. We booked a suite on the top floor.
+ the room is clean, decorated with wood, the view is beautiful, the appliances are working (refrigerator, TV, hair dryer), the price tag is acceptable, there is access to the terrace

-disgusting breakfasts : in my opinion, it is better to exclude them altogether or put the issue in order, because it is not clear what they give, what is included in the breakfast. Tk hotel there are always in-demand people at breakfast. For summer vacationers to have breakfast under the scorching sun.... Well, it's such a pleasure.
- if wood trim is a plus, then there is also a minus as sound insulation. Moreover, the neighbors from below can be heard as an interlocutor.
- steep stairs. Of course, if you are young and with healthy knees, then this is like a warm-up for you. It can be a problem for other people.

Nice hotel. We've been here twice. More or less clean. Panoramic Windows, the river on the territory is pleasantly noisy. There is beauty all around. From the window, the mountains, the river, woke up in the morning from the smell of pancakes. It's close everywhere. There is a terrace on the roof. They drank tea there in the afternoon and admired the view. It's quite close to the sea. The staff is helpful.
I didn't like the organization of the breakfast. A tiny table and a queue for it. Tea and all the food are on one table. It was possible to make a separate table for tea, cups /spoons to make it more convenient for people. The breakfast is delicious, but there is no choice. On the day of buckwheat with sausage, we went to another place. Well, it's a little late. I was already hungry at 8, and breakfast started at nine. And nothing can be ordered from the menu. This is very inconvenient. Although it would be most convenient for us to have breakfast at the hotel. And the atmosphere is very inviting.
I also didn't like the too loud music "for an amateur" (black eyes, swans on the pond, and the like). It is impossible to sleep in a room even with the windows closed until the 23rd. And dining in a restaurant is generally deafening. It's impossible to talk to each other. Again, I wanted to have dinner there several times, but I had to look for another place.
In general, the hotel still leaves a pleasant impression. It's nice to be there. I didn't want to leave at all. If we go back to Athos, we will definitely return.

The hotel is not bad, but there are some features that need to be taken into account when planning a vacation:
1. Lack of sound insulation in the room. The feeling of complete absence of walls. The sounds from the toilet, the crying of a child and even sneezing are perfectly audible.
2. The absence of a kettle in the room. There is nowhere to get boiling water.
3. Linen and towels are old and leaky.
4. There is practically no cleaning in the room. The cobwebs and hair of the previous tenants are everywhere.
5. Music in a nearby cafe of dubious repertoire rumbles until 23 o'clock. Even with the window closed, it is difficult to fall asleep.
6. The water in the cooler on the 1st floor is not filtered. Muddy and with dead insects. Even from the tap it will be cleaner. Be vigilant!!!

I returned from there with my husband yesterday. I really liked the hotel. The staff is great! I don't know who writes bad reviews, probably people who are used to relaxing in the Canary Islands in ten-star hotels. The room is cleaned every day. Pastel linen and towels are changed every 4 days. There is a new roll of toilet paper every two days. There is a TV and air conditioning, Wi-Fi. The only drawback is probably the sooo good audibility of the neighbors. But we knew that before we went. Therefore, it was probably not particularly a disadvantage. The hotel administrator Alan is a very helpful person. Somehow I felt very sick, but there were no ambulances in the ambulance and he took me there himself. Thank him very much!! A vacation in such beauties will remain unforgettable in memory. There is a monastery, a waterfall, caves and a gorge within walking distance.

Two families had dinner at the restaurant, ordered national food, liked everything, the price tag along with alcohol came out 5700, accommodation in this hotel for a family of 4 people 2100 per day(triple room +extra bed for the youngest daughter). The staff is excellent, adequate, friendly. Breakfast for four in the restaurant turned out to be 1170, they all ate again from the belly, as they say. The only drawback is that the tablecloths on the tables come across with cigarette burns and the lights are turned off throughout Abkhazia for an hour in the morning and for an hour in the evening, but the staff is switched to a diesel generator and the light is, in my opinion, only in this hotel.

The music is blaring in the restaurant until late at night, so that the floors in the rooms are shaking. There is no kettle or mugs in the room. Tea or coffee can be drunk only by typing boiling water downstairs on the street, going up to the room with it or ordering it in a restaurant. They do not respond readily to the requests of the guests, we were told that if you tip the cleaners, your room will be well cleaned. With children, it is not clear at all how to live there. Ambiguous but 5 stars. Excellent view of the mountain river, almost no noise is heard from the rare passing cars. The sea is 10 minutes away at a leisurely pace through a beautiful park with swans. The temple and caves are about 15 minutes away. There are many cafes and shops nearby.

We came with a group to relax. Not to a children's camp. The hotel is not new, the stairs are steep wooden, you can do a little quickly on another floor))) We decided to stay at the Grand Hotel. Next door. But the Griffon restaurant has incredibly delicious Adjarian khachapuri and insanely delicious coffee. It's worth going there for!!
