I had a rest at the hotel in early June. Basically, I liked everything. Cubans are a very friendly and cheerful people, despite all the hardships they have endured. Nature and the ocean are simply gorgeous! Large sandy beach, clean water. We always found free beds. The hotel room was renovated, so everything was fine. Soap and snout were available. Food without abundant variety, from mango, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, bananas, guava. Delicious cheeses, sausage products. Chicken was rare. We went to a la carte restaurants for a change. We had a delicious seafood meal at the international. The service is not bad, there are shows in the evenings, beach discos. In general, everything was great, especially after a couple of cocktails)))

The beach is long, clean and incredibly beautiful. I just want to draw your attention to the fact that there are no toothbrushes and toothpaste in the rooms, so be sure to take them with you, because there is nowhere to buy. Cool, groovy animators, constantly different activities at the hotel and on the beach. Many employees understand Russian, which is very convenient and comfortable. Overall, a great hotel, I recommend it. I met many vacationers who said that this is the best hotel in Varadero. I lived in a bungalow, there are a lot of houses at the hotel, but it is better to have 1 or 2 lines, since 3-5 is very far from the main building and the beach, which is not convenient, we agreed at the reception for free to change the house to 2 lines, initially we were given on the 5th and wanted an additional payment, but we did without it))))

In the restaurant, tea and coffee on request is not convenient. But in the lobby bar, excellent baristas and bartenders will make any drink. Or you can also prepare any drink for yourself in a vending machine. I did this before breakfast, took an Americano from the coffee machine and went to the restaurant. Everyone was getting cocktails at the bar. I have white wine and champagne, very decent ones. In the evenings, excellent musicians performed in the lobby, it is not clear what they are doing in the hotel, such a level of vocals. Overall, positive impressions.

We spent about 2 weeks in this place, in general everything was fine, we lived in a bungalow near the ocean, the food was decent (we chose mainly hotels based on food), the bungalow itself was a bit old, but we knew about it before arrival, some bungalows are being renovated. The Wi-Fi in the room worked acceptably, but not smartly. In the morning, you can take a ticket to visit the restaurant of your choice. Beautiful ocean and sand. Among the disadvantages - a long check-in and getting something at the reception, Wi-Fi on a coupon, it is better to take sun beds from early morning (6-7 am), groups of young people from Canada who drink for days, room cleaning is not super, flies in the food area.

This is the best hotel in Varadero! The rooms are not new, you will not find new ones in Cuba! Cleaning is always daily, even the bed is changed (there are sheets on the bed instead of a blanket, if you like heavy cotton, take it with you) Otherwise, everything is as everyone writes about animation, local entertainment (alcohol is not like a river, just an ocean) Everything is without special effects, fresher, unless of course there are predispositions or specially overeating (it is difficult with this, because there are a lot of different and interesting things), There is a swimming pool, it is made around the bar (in the center), a depth of 90 cm (30 cm children's small separately), cleaning with chemicals and appliances daily, but mostly in there were Mexicans and others like them (with all due respect). Отдыхали в бунгало в дали от всей тусовки. Тишина и пляжный и отдых. Мы в восторге.
Администратор Анна рускоговорящая. Коктейли 24/7 в лобби. Еда олинклюзив очень разнообразная - есть всё. Снэк бар на территории, отдельные бары с коктейлями рядом, бесплатный катамаран, огромный пляж, куча лежаков. Вечерняя шоу программа на очень высоком уровне - этим танцорам давно пора на мировую сцену.
Очень рекомендую этот отель. Он если не самый, то один из лучших на побережье.

We visited the hotel twice, in 2011 and in 2024. Nothing has changed in 13 years, only there are more people. In principle, we are happy with everything. We lived both times in a bungalow. The furniture and plumbing are old, ancient, you might say. They clean every day, the linen is clean, the beds are comfortable, normal. The food suited us. Of course, there is nothing like it in Europe, but you will definitely not be hungry. The restaurant is full of flies, then you get used to it, there's nowhere to go. There is some kind of animation, we have never been there. The staff is not in a hurry, but this is Cuba, no one is in a hurry here at all. Mind-blowing beach and ocean. We enjoyed our vacation, but household flaws, so to speak, are nonsense. I recommend. We will definitely come back.

Из достоинств - неплохая территория среднего размера с манговыми деревьями, шикарный пляж и океан, отличная анимация в течение дня. Из недостатков - в мае был ну очень скудный ассортимент еды в главном ресторане, отсутствовали морепродукты, овощи и салатная зелень. Еда часто была пересолена. Самое грустное из всей поездки - это просто дикое количество мух в ресторане, с которыми никто и не пытается бороться и змеи на территории. Я все понимаю, но зачем пугать до обморока отдыхающих у вас гостей?? Отловите всех рептилий и вывезите подальше на природу. Когда змеи спят на окне в твоём бунгало и клубками загорают на территории, это не совсем нормально, понимаете? Хоть они и неядовитые. С мухами тоже нужно что-то делать.. хоть ловушки или отпугиватели повесьте. Приходилось постоянно закрывать еду салфетками. Не знаю, что с вами случилось дорогая сеть Melia, но постоянно чувствовался тотальный дефицит всего. В баре возле пляжа часто заканчивались ингриденты для безалкогольных коктейлей. Лайма в этот заезд не было. Мохито делали исключительно с мятой, без лайма. Салфетки и зубочистки в главном ресторане отсутствуют, столовые приборы приходилось выпрашивать, хотя должны по умолчанию лежать на столах. Посуда часто бывает грязной, непромытой. Под конец заезда отель перестал справляться с загрузкой - свободных лежаков на пляже было не найти уже в 9 утра, дикие очереди на завтраки/обеды/ужины. Ресторан битком и персонал не придумал ничего лучшего, как просто закрывать двери на вход. Красная цена отеля - 150-160 тыс за двоих на 9 ночей. 300 тыс и выше - перебор и не стоит этих денег. Особое пожелание - пляжную аквааэробику проводите не 12 часов дня в самое пекло, а в 9-10 часов утра. И водросли после шторма не смешивайте с песком, а убирайте, чтобы они не разлагались и не воняли по неделе. Надеюсь, вы примете к сведению все указанные недостатки и проработаете их. Господа туристы, берите с собой реппеленты, комары по вечерам жрут живьём... Если будет желание, можно прогуляться до соседней Мелии, сравнить так сказать территории, поглазеть и пофотграфироваться. С браслетами Sol без проблем угощают напитками в баре Мелии. Всем хорошего отдыха и теплого океана!

Fish, meat, spaghetti and pasta, seven types of pizzas, at least 10 side dishes, fruits, ice cream, smoothies, excellent breakfasts. The rooms are not new, but everything worked. The air conditioner is excellent, hair dryer, plumbing, TV, water and so on-like a normal 4. They cleaned daily, changed towels daily, and had drinking water daily. Еда очень даже не плохая, выбрать можно на любой вкус. Всегда есть манго, а здесь он просто необыкновенно вкусный!!! Номера в классическом отельном стиле, убирают каждый день и готовят для туристов небольшие сюрпризы в ввиде лебедей и сердец из полотенец. Постельные принадлежности меняются каждый день! Персонал очень отзывчивый, культурный и всегда встречает с улыбкой. Напитки местные, но очень даже качественные!! Пляж достаточно чистый, убирают регулярно, лежаков всегда в достатке. Вода тёплая, чистая, даже выходить не хотелось!!! Территория большая, ухоженная. Очень рекомендую!!!

Отель в целом очень неплохой. Вода в океане прозрачная, теплая, как молоко, заход в воду везде комфортный. Белый песок. Лежаки в достаточном количестве. Ходили на массаж - очень остались довольны. Анимация есть. Большой выбор напитков. Ресторан, который общий для всех - так себе. Мясо резиновое. За манго очередь, да еще последнее время не всегда и есть. Из фруктов вкусные только манго и «fruta bomba” (папайя). Официанты не справляются, хотя и очень старательные. Нам нравится ужинать в ресторанах, их тут несколько, особенно хорош итальянский “O sole mío” и «La parrilla”.
В бунгало условия очень хорошие, и убираются каждый день. Правда, подарочки оставляем.
Из минусов: в ресторане общем иногда встречаются грязные тарелки.
И особенно удручает тот факт, что в бунгало течет душ в ванной, и заявку (даже две) оставили, и гиду написали (гид Алла вообще отдельная история, она и не отвечает, и на вопросы отсылает на ресепшен, вообще непонятен ее функционал и за что ей зарплату платят), так вот мы шестой день со сломанным душем.
В общем, здесь отдыхается хорошо, разбавляет наш отдых экскурсиями и отдыхом довольны!

Райское место с большой красивейшей экзотической территорией, прекрасной испанской едой и кубинским ромом, который льется рекой, отличной анимации и ощущением праздника каждый день! Пляж невероятной красоты, где цвет океана меняется по несколько раз за день. Как будто отдыхаешь на разных островах Карибского бассейна) Всегда вспоминаю отдых на Кубе, в этом отеле, с ностальгией и желаем вернуться туда и не раз!

Плюсы несомненные:
1. Океан - он божественный!!
2. Пляж - белый песок, достаточно протяженный можно гулять и наслаждаться прекрасными видами
3. Вкусные коктейли
4. Очень вкусные фрукты
Минусы, которые есть на Кубе во всех отелях:
1. Уставшие отели - очень скромно и не всегда все работает в номерах и бунгало
2. Питание однотипное и не всегда вкусное
Если вы не были на Кубе и вы не придирчивы к двум вышеперечисленным пунктам - поездка рекомендована - океан великолепный!!!

Beautiful Cuba, vellicolepny ocean, wonderful hotel "Sol Palmeras", lived not in the main building, but in a bungalow 5 minutes walking along the alleys of palm trees, cacti , acacias and some unknown trees to me, 150 steps to the beach (specially counted)
The hotel is 4 stars , but really worth these stars !
Food , cultural program , leisure , service , at the highest level , clean linen , towels were cleaned and refilled every day, refrigerator , iron , air conditioning in both rooms , bottled water.
The beach was not cleaned immediately after the storm from the algae, apparently they were waiting for them to dry out.
There are several bars with drinks, ice cream and fruits on the territory of the hotel near the pools, as well as an outdoor restaurant that you get directly from the beach, where you can have lunch or just have a snack with hot dogs or burgers.
The hotel has a small gym , several souvenir shops and alcohol , a 24-hour bar at the hotel ( excellent drinks , non-alcoholic, are made by smiling bartenders , for $ 1 they will smile even wider )The main restaurant has an abundance of sea products, meat dishes, fruits, cheese of several types of pastries, pizzas, vegetables, salads, everything is very tasty, the waiters are friendly and also happy with small presents.
The tour operator told us to go here, you will not regret it, and she turned out to be 100% right.

We rested in this hotel at the end of August 2023 in a standard room (2048) of the main building, overlooking the pool. The room was old, but clean, everything was in working order. They cleaned the room perfectly, made various figures out of towels, left 1.5 liters of water.
In the general restaurant, the food was for every taste: meat, chicken, fish, pizza, pasta, etc., cheese with mold is insanely delicious. What was missing was fresh vegetables. There was plenty of fruit, I haven't tasted mango tastier, it seems to me. And what kind of ice cream, mmmm ... Ala Kart restaurants are very much for an amateur, but for the sake of variety and a change of scenery, you can go.
The territory of the hotel is HUGE, very beautiful and well maintained.
The hotel staff is friendly, it is clear that they are trying very hard for the guests. We have always tried to leave tips and various gifts to everyone in the form of medicines, fast food, cosmetics, baby supplies.

Although we were not very lucky with the weather, and there were waves almost all the time, it did not spoil the impression at all, in a word - love! The beach at the hotel is one of the largest in Varadero, there are a lot of sun beds, there is enough space for everyone.
I definitely recommend the hotel, and if they ask me if I would come back here again, then definitely yes!

The hotel is surrounded by greenery. The furniture is old, but everything worked. The air conditioner is noisy. The refrigerator froze like an animal! There is an iron and ironing board in the room. I was catching the Internet in room 3022. With food, you won't stay hungry, but you shouldn't count on proper nutrition. The ocean is divine and it covers all the flaws. High-level entertainment from singers to dancers! In June, mosquitoes are eating, sprays are needed. Cleaning with paracetamol as a tip (they have problems with medications) was great! The bed linen was changed every day!!!

Это лучший отель на Варадеро! Зачем мы летим на Кубу! Океан – однозначно, море солнца – несомненно, кубинский ром и сигары – обязательный атрибут. Все это воплотилось в этом отеле! Понятно, это не Хилтон и не Рэдиссон, но по сравнению с соседними фасадными пятерками, Sol Palmeras лидер по параметрам: широкая пляжная линия, зелень, питание на любой вкус, чистота номеров и постельного белья. Один минус это принимающая сторона в лице гида Игоря и Натальи Пегаса, вообще не заинтересованные товарищи им жирный минус. Обязательно вернемся в следующем году.
PS. В отеле работает Анна, кубинка с русскими корнями по маме. Всегда поможет!

The hotel is very good for its 4*.
Excellent varied food, clean beach.
They lived in bungalows, in 2003 they were probably luxurious, in 2023 they were already very tired, but this did not interfere with the rest at all. We spent a minimum of time in the room.
We will definitely come back again and with a high probability that it is to this hotel.

A great hotel for Cuba for the money! We chose a room in a house (bungalow), after renovation. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, even on the beach. Food... every day a sumptuous buffet - there was always seafood, fish, beef/pork/chicken. Fruits/delicious avocado. Wonderful ice cream. For fans - liters of all kinds of alcohol 24 hours in the main bar. Very good wine. The hotel is not designed for children, so there were few of them. The ocean... is amazing, it's love, and we came for it! People, don't be pigs, don't litter on the beach! Yes, they do, but relatively. It is very unpleasant to see a bunch of buried steers in the sand. An official taxi is always on duty near the hotel, they will take you anywhere. I recommend it!

Sooo green territory, bungalows-just gorgeous!Food 5-that was it!animation and entertainment for both children and adults. But the pools are very dirty, smelly, with loose tiles. The territory is not big at all. The beach is a bomb, they always clean up, there are never any problems with sun beds, even when the hotel is fully occupied!Should I go there?- yes!
