The restaurant has low ceilings and a lot of noise, and there are queues for over-salted fish before frying and meat, just like in the Soviet Union. Green tomatoes, a bunch of beans, carrots, and pasta are also waiting in line. People are choking on ice cream of which there are only 3 trays, hard green pineapples. We were here in 2015, the rooms were renovated - yes, the dining room has remained.

A decent hotel. The food for Cuba is very diverse (meat, fish, seafood, delicious cheeses ...) the beach is huge. The rooms are old, but the mattresses are good, the linen is clean, they change every day. The alcohol is excellent!!!

Sooo green territory, bungalows-just gorgeous!Food 5-that was it!animation and entertainment for both children and adults. But the pools are very dirty, smelly, with loose tiles. The territory is not big at all. The beach is a bomb, they always clean up, there are never any problems with sun beds, even when the hotel is fully occupied!Should I go there?- yes!

Great foursome in Varadero. A very long private beach, about a kilometer, which is rare. The food is very decent for Cuba, although we haven't seen seafood in two weeks. Decent Pina Colada is made from cocktails, everything else is for the amateur. The hotel consists of a main building and a bunch of bungalows along the beach. Distant bungalows live on the outskirts of civilization, so I do not recommend it. Sun beds and umbrellas are only from the main entrance to about the middle of the rows of bungalows, so the wild beach remains far away. The bar is not on the beach, but closer to the pool, where there is another bar, so you have to go from the beach to refuel. We were in July, so it was very hot and humid, but it was very comfortable next to the ocean. A sunscreen of at least 50 SPF is required. Next to the hotel there is a small shopping center where you can buy water-canned food-rum-cigars, there is not much else there. From the hotel, you can rent a convertible for a tour of Varadero for $ 40 for two hours.

A great hotel for Cuba for the money! We chose a room in a house (bungalow), after renovation. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, even on the beach. Food... every day a sumptuous buffet - there was always seafood, fish, beef/pork/chicken. Fruits/delicious avocado. Wonderful ice cream. For fans - liters of all kinds of alcohol 24 hours in the main bar. Very good wine. The hotel is not designed for children, so there were few of them. The ocean... is amazing, it's love, and we came for it! People, don't be pigs, don't litter on the beach! Yes, they do, but relatively. It is very unpleasant to see a bunch of buried steers in the sand. An official taxi is always on duty near the hotel, they will take you anywhere. I recommend it!

I had a rest in January 2024, the best impressions. A brand new bungalow, cleaned every day. No power outages or queues. Polite, friendly, sociable staff. Anna is a Russian-speaking employee, a wonderful person, always helps and solves all questions, a very nice clean sandy beach. I recommend a hotel.

Ocean 10 out of 10. The bungalows are two-room, comfortable with old but solid furniture. Snack bars, snacks and drinks are no problem. The evening program is decent, moving from one place to the next. The food is without frills, we did not go hungry. There is Anna, a Russian-speaking Cuban, who solves many issues. There was an abundance of seafood in April, and fruits in August. Air 34-35, ocean water 34-35.

Great hotel, great beach, the ocean is just super! Our room was big. Cleaned every day, cleaned well. The staff is all polite and friendly. I had a rest in September 23rd.
The positive side: there are enough sun loungers, clean, warm water, nature in general.

Iron ,ironing board, umbrellas,drying on the balcony,air conditioning.
At the beach at 13.00, good paella, meat, grilled sausages,cutlets for a snack, animation, live music, the guys are trying.
Disadvantages: an unpleasant smell, in the main restaurant, flies, land on food, you have to cover with a plate or napkin, no one fights them.
The dishes are not appetizingly laid out, cooked, without a soul, even from those products that are available.Cooks,untidy,raw fish and meat,put on the grill,without gloves, not everywhere tongs for laying,vacationers, take with their hands.Sugar is given out, on demand and on one napkin, not always, teaspoons are available, in the bar and in the tent, with ice cream.
Dishes, badly washed, wet.The one that is wiped with rags is gray.The staff is calling each other, all over the hall, like at a train station.Dishes are falling and appliances are rattling, as in a factory canteen.
Once, I came, by the end of lunch, I watched the picture of the staff raking, with their hands, into bags that the guests had not eaten.I understand the shops are empty, but you can wait until the end of lunch.
Cheese, ham, are given out, at the request of the cook, as they tear off from themselves. The staff eats in the common room with the guests, this is not allowed.
Friends saw how the waiter poured Coke from different glasses into one glass and took it back to the guest.
Cleaning, the rooms are symbolic, there is no vacuum cleaner, they sweep with a mop,the toilet smells, there are no chemical means apparently.The bed was changed once a week, although other information was provided. However, they refueled daily.
Algae is not always cleaned on time.
After partying on the beach in the morning, the dishes are dirty, on the sun loungers, the tourists themselves cleaned.
WiFi is constantly getting lost, you need to enter the password over and over again. Choose the season to relax, it was very hot, on excursions, information is not digested,everything is wet and one desire, to drink in the shade and cool.
There is one 220W socket in the room, take an adapter.
My swimming trunks flew away, I asked to look under the balcony and in the rooms below me.They assured that they looked at the end, on the day of departure, stepped onto the overlap between the balconies and saw them on the balcony, one floor below. They didn't even bother to look.
There was a moment, they could not get into the room, the keys were demagnetized, went 3 times, the door did not work.You won't believe it, I stood in the cream for 40 minutes, after the sea, waiting for the master, who couldn't be found on the hotel grounds, even on the radio. They have a long time to study.At least invite a chef from Russia, Turkey, and set up a kitchen.

A good hotel, by the standards of Cuba, so just great. I can't say anything about the number of rooms in the main building, since I lived in a bungalow.
The bungalows are in good condition, the air conditioners work perfectly, and cleaning is done regularly.
The dining room, also known as the Sol restaurant, but the word dining room fits much better, with purely Cuban service. The tables are not always clean, there is always enough food, but it is not always beautiful, which is not uncommon for Cuba, but rather a common thing.

It seems that this hotel is among the 6 best in Cuba, I will not argue! But if you take away the divine ocean and the smiles of eternally satisfied Cubans, there would be an honest three! We lived in a bungalow, cleaning was irregular, mosquitoes and cockroaches as big as a finger inside, sometimes lizards look in.... The air conditioner broke down twice, or rather the wiring could not stand - it was a test for the local staff....think twice before choosing this hotel..... Any Portuguese and Canadian is a priority here and his problem will be solved sooner, you may well be told - magnana!

We were a large company of 8 people in October 2023. The ocean and the beach are beautiful, we had small waves, I don't know if it's always like this, but we really went) There are a sufficient number of bars on the territory of the hotel (at least 4 are open during the day), there is a round-the-clock. There is no bar on the beach, so I definitely recommend taking thermal mugs with you, all bartenders pour everything into them without any problems) Simple, but generally good animation, there are all standard sports and near-sports activities - football, basketball, volleyball, water polo, all kinds of dancing, yoga, etc., so if you want to participate in something, there is entertainment for almost every taste. On the downside, there is nothing to eat in hotels in Cuba, but we were told that our hotel is one of the best in terms of food, so just don't expect anything special. At the same time, if you drive to Varadero, you can eat seafood perfectly.
Another big plus is the positive attitude of Cubans) you are guaranteed smiles, greetings and compliments in broken Russian)

The beach is a separate place in my heart, you walk along a wooden bridge, past huge palm trees and, as in paradise, you get to a snow-white beach with an azure sea

Next to the pool, they make a crazy smoothie, just for the sake of it, it's worth coming here
The food is beyond praise, a huge amount of fruits, seafood, cheeses. For 2 weeks, the restaurant has not ceased to please.
In the evenings there is a concert and live music in the lobby.

1- bad Internet , there is no Internet on the site , in bad weather conditions it usually disappears
2- during bad weather, they can turn off the lights, we had it for 2-3 hours

Fish, meat, spaghetti and pasta, seven types of pizzas, at least 10 side dishes, fruits, ice cream, smoothies, excellent breakfasts. The rooms are not new, but everything worked. The air conditioner is excellent, hair dryer, plumbing, TV, water and so on-like a normal 4. They cleaned daily, changed towels daily, and had drinking water daily. The territory of the hotel is very large, there are no problems with sun beds at all. The reception is large, the selection of alcohol and drinks is quite normal. The food is quite monotonous, but the quality of the food is at a good level. Very delicious coffee! Local cigarettes (the cheapest) also much better than ours. There is almost no entertainment - in the evenings there are shows, a disco with Latin American music and that's it. On the beach, volleyball and football with one goal)). Cuba is not Turkey. This is the first thing to realize when planning a vacation there. The hotels are worse, the service is worse, the infrastructure is worse, the flight is three times longer, and the prices are more expensive. If these moments are critical for you, then you definitely should not go to Cuba.
And now about the hotel. We lived in superior at the end of February 2024. The room is on the 4th floor of the main building, with a partial view of the ocean, with modern renovation, but the furniture was patched, there were chips, scuffs, a cockroach lived in the closet with a minibar. The minibar was replenished every day with two cans of German beer and two cans of some kind of weird Coke. The plumbing was also not in the best condition, water was leaking, the floor in the shower was pressed through. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room. Better than any other place in the hotel/on-site. Our friends in the bungalow were not so lucky, even though the router was hanging over their bed, the Internet did not work there at all.
The food in the restaurant was not particularly varied, but delicious. We didn't leave hungry. Every day there was chicken/pork/beef/fish fried or stewed. From side dishes rice/corn/beans/cabbage/various pasta/ French fries. There were porridges, omelets, and toasts for breakfast. I was surprised by the presence of good Spanish wine, cheese, sausages and jamon. There were all kinds of greens, olives, that is, in general, they feed normally there. However, they do not know how to wash dishes, plates / glasses, which are generally available, had to be chosen. The bars inside the main building make good cocktails, better than in Turkey.
The territory of the hotel is huge, there is a place to walk. Pelicans, herons, hummingbirds, frogs, crabs, snakes and Portuguese boats can be found among the animals. Among the entertainment facilities there are table tennis tables, lawn tennis courts, a basketball court, football and volleyball are played on the beach. You can also ride on saps, catamarans and yachts. All without additional payment.
The beach and the ocean are just a delight. The eyes do not believe that this is all real. The color of sand and water is like from some Bounty advertisement. The coastline along the hotel is huge, there are plenty of sun beds, there is enough for everyone. Every evening we watched the sunsets on the beach with a cigar and rum. Heavenly pleasure :)
10 minutes from the main building, at the end of the territory with bungalows, there is a shopping center where you can buy souvenirs, all sorts of beach stuff, and of course cigars and rum. The choice of cigars is larger than in the center of Varadero, which surprised me. Prices start at 5 bucks apiece. You can bargain. The world also accepts cards. Curiously, there is a supermarket and a speciality in the shopping center. a rum shop. The prices for rum are written the same here and there, but in the supermarket they are like in euros, and in specials. the store charges dollars. That is, if you pay in dollars, then it will be more expensive in the supermarket.
To sum up, we had a great rest there. And, given the specifics of Cuba, I give the hotel five stars.
