A great beach holiday! The hotel is certainly tired ... but what an ocean!!! It's worth coming to Cuba just for him!!!! Meals for four... you won't stay hungry! Of course there is no seafood! And for $ 35 you will be offered a delicious langoustine))) but the ocean... the ocean))) There is nothing in the shops except rum and cigars!!! Rum is an average of $ 30 a bottle, a good cigar is $40-50. This is in a country with an average salary of $30!!!! The hotel, in comparison with the descriptions of nearby hotels, is the best! We lived in a two-storey bungalow on the ocean!!! For a surcharge of 300€ for ten days!

Today is the last day of rest at this hotel. And I didn't get anything but positive emotions in this hotel. My husband and I lived in bungalow 429. This is the 4th zone, which, although located away from the main building of the hotel, is located 10 meters from the ocean.
The staff is friendly. There were no problems with understanding. You can explain it "on your fingers" if you don't know the language. In addition, the hotel has a savior Anna, who knows Russian very well, she will definitely help: she will explain and settle everything.
There are no complaints about nutrition at all. Everything is delicious and varied. It is not necessary to come to the opening, any dish is available at any time.
As for animation, it's for amateurs. Sports and dancing during the day, and quiet live music in the evening. I highly recommend it.
I want to add one of the advantages, on the last day, despite the fact that the check-out is at 12.00, and the bus to the airport is at 16.45, we were not cut off from the Internet, and the bar and restaurant were also freely accessible.

Who writes that the hotel is gorgeous - no, it's not. Yes, this is Cuba, but the condition of the Standard rooms is already completely tired and outdated rooms. BUT! the mattresses are new and good.
Rusty refrigerators, ants, etc. - it's all there)))
Also, if you get into rooms from 2100 to 2108, you will be expected to have a "view" of the roof and pipes of the restaurant, as well as noise from the corridor and elevator doors of the night snack bar (we first came across 2107, the next morning we changed it).
The beach: this is a "+" it is huge, but there were not enough sunbeds for everyone in July 2023. it was already difficult to find free ones after 8 a.m.
The bars in the lobby and smoking area are good, with normal cocktails and their preparation. On the street and by the pool, what is poured into a glass can not be called anything but a mess, may the connoisseurs of this hotel forgive me.
However, there is ice cream and smoothies in front of one of them - it's better there.
Because you're going on an All Inclusive to an island in the Atlantic, you expect just mountains of seafood. So, arriving on Monday, it was seafood (not fish), but squid, mussels appeared only on Saturday, there were scallops a couple of times, some more remains of a lobster - apparently half-eaten somewhere in restaurants.
Order a lobster at a restaurant for $ 35 in Varadero for $ 8-10.
The food is monotonous (it's Cuba and SolPalmeras) - it gets boring in 2 weeks... There are no porridges at all, cucumbers and tomatoes are absent. We got into the mango and pineapple season - there are a lot of them, yes.
only pineapples in the "dining room", and there is no other way to call it - good ones were rarely brought - ripe ones were in cocktails, and here absolutely tasteless and wooden ones could be caught.
Beef is cooked only in restaurants (and then if it is there, because 2 times and it was not there) - but that dish called "Old clothes" is darkness ...
Also in the Latin restaurant there were 3 times. Because the first time they got there they ordered Encelado - 5 huge shrimps in a good sauce. The second time, there were already three of them. And on the third day there was 1 such shrimp, 2 peeled and fish. but! that's not all - in the Russian-language chat of the hotel, 2 weeks after that, people also visited this restaurant - and there was already only fish and a couple of small peeled shrimp.
The wine is mostly Spanish - semi-dry and dry - so-so, cocktails or rum are better.
Cleanliness in the rooms - we had a normal maid - she had sweets - we always had cleanliness and swans and all sorts of messages, changing towels every day.
Animation - every day in the evening there is live singing at the dining room, and then either by the pool or on the beach - a disco, performances, etc. - it's straight +++.
Snack bars - there are around the pool and in the middle of the villas. at night in the lobby, there was a wonderful tuna sandwich.
Photos - there are plenty of them everywhere. Look there.
Oh, yeah. On the day of departure, while at the reception, a man approached, who, on the contrary, settled in a Bungalow with his family, so he was outraged (to put it mildly) that they were already sitting for 1 hour in an electric car, which should take them to their home in the heat of 32 degrees - this is again the attitude towards visitors...

Terrible hotel.
The rooms are shabby, the beach is poorly cleaned.
In the pool, pieces of stone bleach create a persistent aversion to swimming in it.
The dining room is a hell of post-Soviet times with a characteristic smell and a colorful attitude of the staff to the visitors of the hotel.

All animation and music are only in Spanish , which by the middle of the vacation began to strain, although the Russians in the hotel are about 50% according to my feelings. We had a rest in June 2023. It was a great place, we took a bungalow, initially it seemed to us that it was far from the hotel and the main restaurant, but then we were even glad.
The food is certainly not Turkey, but we were not hungry.
I really liked the bungalow: 2 rooms, a wardrobe, air conditioning in the rooms, which is a huge plus for Cuba.
The beach and the ocean simply cannot be described in words. Because we were at a slight distance from the hotel itself, our part was always free.
The staff is very friendly, smiling, welcoming, always ready to meet in solving any issues. The territory is quite large, there is enough for walking, including they did not even go outside the territory.

Seafood is scarce, there were a couple of squid octopus, fish every day, thanks for that. The food can be viewed in the photo. We cleaned every day for tea very well, we took our pills and chocolates for tea, they can make swans if you like tea)) we had a bungalow, if you don't like to walk, it's better to take a regular hotel room. The bungalows are on site only with an additional fee, and they were booked from Russia at the same price. The beach is gorgeous, and everyone is going after it. There are simply no words for water and colors. There are waves, there is a smooth surface, as luck would have it. There is a bar Alla drinks cocktails in unlimited quantities, Havana rum, generally not bad. We don't really like to drink, so we had enough. The territory is large, there is a reef nearby to the left, rescuers can get a coconut for $ 1. The animation is strange, charging can start at 10 or 12, or it may not start.There are some dances and songs in the evenings every day, which is also normal for Cuba. In general, we liked everything, we were satisfied, we went for the beautiful color of the ocean and the sun, we were not hungry, we went on 3 excursions, everything was also more than satisfied. The main thing if you choose the direction of Cuba is not to expect excesses and high service like Turkey and Egypt. Relax, swim and have fun. Hello to everyone who is planning or preparing to leave for the Sol Palmeras Hotel....the class hotel, although 4 stars, is cozy, everything is available, restaurants, bars, beach, ocean-literally everything is at hand. The staff is friendly, courteous and most importantly...friendly. The room is clean and cozy, although modest, the air conditioning works well...shower, toilet, towels, everything is in perfect order. The food is varied and delicious, lots of fruits and seafood....Leisure: socializing,music,dancing,bar...There is plenty of everything.We went with my son, settled in a room without any problems....On October 29, a visit to Havana was opened for the first time...I really liked it. I recommend it for all ages, everyone will find something to do and entertainment according to their interests. They were from October 20 to October 30, 2021.
