This was the first time to visit the complex for myself. It was incredible. Full of local history - I was very impressed by the helpfulness of the staff, who were eager to help a non-native language speaker. The selection of displays and artifacts were obviously curated by people with a keen sense of the local history. Very highly recommended!

I have been returning to this place for 2 times already and I can immediately say that in 5 years everything has changed a lot for the better. There is a fairly large parking lot in front of the castle, a clean, beautiful and picturesque area. There are many guides and castle staff inside, ready to help in any situation. There are always a lot of people in the castle, but this does not prevent you from being comfortable and moving around the locations. The castle grounds are multi-level with various interesting exhibits from past times. There is an opportunity to take an audio guide, each exhibit has the appropriate numbers, which allows you to listen to what interests you. On the territory of Mir Castle there is also a restaurant and a cafe with delicious pastries at slightly above average prices. Everyone should definitely go to this place.

What can I say, of course this is a place that is worth a visit. Take a tour guide or audio guide and walk, listen, watch. The restoration work was carried out colossally. We tried to preserve the spirit of antiquity and history, but of course modern elements are present... Get ready to walk up, down, and down narrow stairs a lot, where 2 people won't warm up. The most basic thing is in the center of the castle, there is nothing in the towers, a couple of exhibits for decency. You go up to the towers and expect to see something interesting, the only interesting thing is the view from the windows. You definitely need to visit here, see the beauty of the castle and marvel at the craftsmanship of the craftsmen of those times. The ticket prices are affordable. The only thing that needs to be changed is the opening hours, in the summer... Not until 18.00 .. In summer you can work longer, the flow of tourists is huge.

A cool feeling of the Middle Ages, thanks to the restorers for leaving the original architecture and constructive, you believe that the Castle, as well as the surrounding area: moats, pond, approaches..They haven't changed much historically. We are surprised by the skill of the builders, the talent of architects and artists, as well as the sense of beauty of those who came up with it and were able to create it. Thanks to our contemporaries who save and preserve this historical masterpiece. If you are in Belarus, Mir Castle is a must-visit, you can take a car yourself, or you can take a bus tour...

The place is wonderful and colorful. Beautiful green area around the castle itself. A park with rose bushes and various types of trees. A visit to the castle starts at 10.00. You can take an audio guide or walk through the halls yourself, the signs help you understand what this or that exposition is about. During the tour, you will pass through the main passageways, then 2 towers (get ready for quite steep ascents and descents), plus a visit to a small church. On the territory of the castle there is a wonderful restaurant with excellent cuisine and atmospheric halls.

Mir Castle is a 16th-17th century fortress in an open field (the legacy of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania), near a lake, a village, and small groves. The facade and walls of the Castle show that the old place has been restored a lot, but there is an opportunity to see historical elements. From the outside, the Castle is like a fortress, but when you go inside, you realize that everything here is built to live with luxury and maximum comfort. The castle was rebuilt after the turbulent wars of the 16th and 17th centuries and became a summer residence. Tickets for two (with a special program) - 30 blr. There are regular guided tours, it's interesting to listen. Inexpensive. Inside, there is a rather long route through the magnificent halls of the Castle, in which the subject and staged compositions of the rulers of the Rodzivids and others are located. who lived here. I must say, some rooms impressed with their beauty and luxury. There is a legend about an artificial lake - the apple tree curse, some guides tell it (as well as about the ghost that lives in the Castle). One tower is dedicated to the history of the late 19th - mid 20th century. I would like to highlight, among other things, the history of the ghetto of 1941-1942. In another tower, we climbed up through narrow passages (nothing interesting), we were in the basement. Everything is impressive. We took a lot of photos. There are souvenir stalls nearby, but they were not found in the Castle itself. There is a normal cafe on the street. There were a lot of tourists and schoolchildren, but not so much that there was a problem. We got there by rented car, there are no special problems on the road and navigation. The center of Minsk is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away. Be sure to visit, it's better to read the history of the Castle in advance, then it will be more interesting to see everything!

It is a very interesting place and very close to Minsk. It's a good opportunity to literally feel the history with your hands and climb through the narrow passages of the castle, wondering: how can you run in armor when attacking? 🤔 A large complex of historical sites and parts of the history of Belarus. I recommend taking a tour, the guides are very knowledgeable, the speech is delivered, and the story is interesting. Excursions should be taken care of in advance. Nearby is a very picturesque place with a pond, a good cafe where you can have a snack on traditional draniki ... you will compare the latter in different establishments. By the way, we did not find any repetitive ones and we do not even know what the orginal looks like :) In any case, you will like both the views and the cuisine.

A beautiful place with its own history and legends, included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. To make it interesting, I recommend visiting with a guided tour or taking an audio guide, because the guide will tell you a lot of interesting facts. The expositions and the decoration of the rooms are more modest (in my opinion) than in Nesvizh, but it is also interesting. I was impressed by the towers with steep stairs, it takes patience and endurance to climb and descend them, narrow corridors, basement labyrinths. It is also a good place to walk around the castle. A must-visit!

Stunningly. How would someone end up in another era. Be sure to book a tour of the castle in advance, the guide Alyona tells you so interestingly that it takes your breath away. There were 12 of us in the company, and the teenage kids were listening with their mouths open. Take a walk around the territory, look into the garden behind the castle. 4 hours flew by unnoticed!!! Across the street there are small cafes with delicious and inexpensive pancakes and kvass.

Traveling around Belarus with children aged 12 and 13, we couldn't help but stop by the schamklav1 Mir complex. I really liked Mir Castle for its scale, its steep stairs to the towers, good expositions, the only thing I would like is the opportunity to take a guide day in, day out, but it turns out you have to book a lot in advance, 45 days in advance)) We've been eavesdropping on other bands about the castle's history. 🏰 You can stay overnight on the territory of the castle itself, again if you book in advance. But our trips are always spontaneous.

This small castle-fortress of the XVI century simply captivated me! We were there in the middle of June. Be sure to take a guide! The castle tour is very interesting! And the tomb and the two towers were examined independently. There is also a hotel, a restaurant, a cafe, and a souvenir shop on site. We both ate and shopped there) Minsk is only an hour away by car, 85 km. One day is enough for inspection. The place is very soulful! The photos are gorgeous. I recommend you to visit!

A beautiful castle complex with a large exposition. There are different ticket options. We charged for 20 BYN with a visit to the towers. This is, of course, quite a quest! I've never seen such steep and narrow stairs before, but it was worth it! You can book a guided tour (preferably in advance) or an audio guide. There is a Belarusian cuisine restaurant in the castle itself with above-average prices. You can also rent a room right in the castle from 220 BYN per day and experience the whole vibe of this beautiful place.😄

We were a family in early November. We were lucky - we managed to book the last rooms at the hotel. We had to take 2 rooms, although they are very spacious and we could all fit, but according to the rules of the hotel, you can only put extra beds for children under 16l. And we already had one 17(. One of the rooms was probably one of the most expensive - 3 rooms: a bedroom, 2 toilets + a Jacuzzi, a living room and ..The conference room in the tower!! And the view from every window, especially from the tower! It's unforgettable! We looked into each one! High ceilings, simple, interior, fireplace (it's a pity you can't heat it). It's a bit chilly in the tower, but there was air conditioning, we didn't turn it on. There is a wonderful restaurant at the bottom of the castle, very atmospheric and delicious. Music and candles)). We had dinner and breakfast. We stopped by in the evening, and after leaving in the morning we went to inspect the castle. 30% discount on tickets for guests. We got to the reconstruction show in the courtyard of the castle - great guys demonstrated medieval torture and battle for free. Then we went through all the expositions - you can climb into each tower. The only inconvenience was that there were a lot of people, the stairs were narrow and steep, the traffic was not regulated and sometimes I had to stand in a "traffic jam". The stairs in the towers are equipped with handrails, but it is very difficult to climb, because they are very steep! It is necessary to evaluate the forces. I also liked the halls of the museum very much - they were living quarters. All the excursions are usually scheduled and it was not possible to get on them, but it is not necessary - you can join any one. In general, we spent half a day in one breath, but there still wasn't enough time. I will definitely come back here.

Of the advantages, I would like to note the well-groomed territory and the cleanliness around. Beautiful inside, beautiful outside. It's better to come here on a weekday, because it's not very easy to walk through the towers with such narrow passages (especially when people of slightly different build are crawling there), but what a warm-up for the legs! For those who know the history, it is better to go without guides - they will not tell you anything new. One of the disadvantages is a small parking lot. On weekends, tourist buses park here, occupying the entire space! You have to park along the road.

I was traveling with my family from Minsk to Brest, and we had to visit the Mir Castle Complex, which I advise everyone who travels in the Republic of Belarus. This is my first castle I've ever seen. I can't express my emotions in words, it's an amazing building, and the main thing is that it contains tours and exhibits in such a wonderful way. You can even try national dishes.

Mir Castle is interesting in many ways. History, architecture, military affairs in different centuries, the way of life of the inhabitants of the castle, the basics of winemaking and cooking, and much, much more. Prepare your heads by entering the castle gates to receive a huge amount of information and impressions. We went with audio guides. Looking at the numerous tour groups that galloped past us in the halls of the museum, it seemed that an audio guide was the best way to explore the castle. Anything that is unclear can be marked in some notebook (paper or telephone), so that later you can dig into the Internet. Climbing the towers and walls of the Castle is a special pleasure.) There are many places where it is allowed to go. However, movement along narrow spiral staircases (two people moving in different directions cannot separate) is somehow self-regulating. I can't help but recall the famous question about construction site accidents from the novella "Partner". Everything worked out on our day. I sincerely hope that there will be zero injuries in the castle on other days.

A wonderful medieval castle, absolutely European, from the time of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The feeling that you are somewhere in Germany is understandable. Everything has been restored and is in perfect condition. Be prepared to climb steep stairs of towers and fortress walls if you take a guided tour. It requires some physical training and is not suitable for elderly or debilitated people.

The bulk of the Mir Castle impresses even at the entrance. The most impressive castle in Belarus. The children really enjoyed climbing the towers and going down to the basements. We hope that the exhibition inside the towers will be expanded in the future. On the downside, parking can be expanded, even in the first half of a weekday, there were no places.

I liked everything very much, the beautiful architecture. Narrow stairs, ancient halls, beautiful views. The entrance fee for an adult is 20 Belarusian rubles. I had lunch at a restaurant here in the castle. I had to wait 10-15 minutes as a queue formed due to the influx of tourists. The food is delicious, the prices are not very high.

There are many expositions inside the castle, take an audio guide, it will be more interesting to walk. There are a lot of towers, the passageways on the stairs are narrow - you have to wait for people to come down or go up, it's impossible to miss each other on the stairs, there's very little space - that's what the castle is for :) There are a couple of paid halls with exhibits, it costs around 5 BYN. The church is located behind the castle, it needs to be bypassed.

The overall impression: One of the disadvantages is that Mir Castle is too renovated and bears little resemblance to ancient castles. One of the advantages is a lot of exhibits, interesting halls, well suited for large-scale events (weddings), and an entourage. Hotel. The very idea of the hotel, furniture and services are great. Playback is slightly lame. Cleaning is not very good, otherwise it's fine, it's just not worth the money. The look of the castle is great, I liked the walk on the street near the castle the most.

It's a very beautiful place. Convenient parking, there is everything you need, a park area, a restaurant, and a hotel. The souvenir shop is very interesting for tourists. The price tag is acceptable. The only negative is probably when you buy tickets they don't warn you that the stairs are sooo steep and dangerous. Not everyone will be able to go up or down. The views are beautiful, the building itself is like a castle, there are towers, a square, and passages. I was very satisfied, I liked everything.

We liked the castle, although it is a novelty, but it is very well made. I liked the exhibitions (I don't know how original they are, but they feature beautiful tapestries, porcelain, costumes, armor, musical instruments and paintings) - they plunged into the late Middle Ages - I was impressed! The place is very popular - crowds of tourists, long queues to climb into the loopholes and into the main halls, but when you arrive in Belarus, you still need to see this landmark and the castle in Nesvizh too!

A real castle, as it should be. There are many internal passageways and steep stairs. Get ready to swing your legs. I can imagine how much is still hidden from us behind hidden doors and thick walls. It's great that such historical sites are being preserved and reconstructed. It will take at least 3 hours to even cursorily explore the castle. If you have signs of claustrophobia, it will most likely be difficult. Overall, everything was cool!

We arrived early - the ticket office starts at 10 a.m., we arrived a little earlier, walked around the castle, looked at the lake, and took a walk. At 10 a.m., we bought tickets and began the inspection from the inside. Get ready to crawl up the stairs to the towers. The steps were high and narrow, and in some places they walked almost on all fours. But we were satisfied anyway.

A visit to the Mir Castle is a magical immersion in history! The architecture of the castle is amazing: romanticism, Renaissance and Baroque merged into a single majestic picture. But the real delight was caused by theatrical performances, in which visitors could take part! The actors perfectly recreated the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Thanks to this, the history of the castle came to life and became closer. Mir Castle is a must–visit place for all lovers of history and culture!

A visit to the Mir Castle leaves an ambivalent feeling. From the outside, it is an incredibly picturesque, majestic structure, impressive for its power and beauty. However, inside you understand its complex and often dark history. It is especially hard to realize that during the Second World War, the Nazis used the castle as a ghetto and a camp for Jews, which leaves an imprint of grief on these walls. Physically, the visit is also difficult: the ascents and descents of the spiral staircases in the towers are very narrow, steep and exhausting. Sometimes you have to stop and literally squeeze into the wall to let the oncoming stream of people pass. But this is exactly what allows you to truly experience the atmosphere of a medieval fortress. There is a hotel on the castle grounds. If you want to stay in the city longer and explore the surroundings slowly, and at the same time you want something unusual in terms of accommodation, then this is a great option (this is my personal opinion). At the time of the visit, the cost of the suite was 300 Belarusian rubles/day.

A must see in Belarus. The castle was badly damaged during the war, but has now been restored, however, some of the walls were left in a ruined state on purpose. There is an exhibition inside (quite interesting and revealing). There is a park around the castle, a lake with wonderful views, do not forget to go behind the castle (there is a charming chapel with the crypt of the princes Svyatopolk-Mirsky). There is a parking lot next to the castle, large enough to find a place even on weekends. I can give you some advice - wear comfortable shoes! Best of all, non-slip sneakers. At the castle, you will be asked to put on shoe covers (so as not to spoil the parquet). In addition, it is full of stairs, very steep and dark. You can break your fingers in sandals, and you can break your spine in heels even in the castle courtyard on the cobblestones. If you have a child with you, either carry it in your arms, or limit yourself to the courtyard and the exposition, without going down to the basements or climbing into the towers. It's difficult for an adult to walk on the steps, and a baby can get hurt. But the excellent exposure and view from the castle walls are worth a few minutes of hard physical exercise. It is worth allocating 2-3 hours for a visit, at least. It is convenient to combine with a visit to Nesvizh if you leave Minsk early (about 35 minutes by car between Mir and Nesvizh).

A remodel without preserving historical value. It's interesting if you go there with the children, the children will be interested, yes! The ergonomics of the rooms that were converted into excursions was not thought out even with this bias, illiterate design, the absence of any human traffic lights or volunteers in narrow passages and dead-end rooms is terribly not thought out! The idea is cool, but it was worth learning from the Turkish or European organizers of such institutions.

I was in Belarus in the 80s, when the castle was abandoned, you couldn't go there, you only looked at the family tomb. Pros: 1]This castle, having been in ruins for more than 40 years after the Great Patriotic War, was repeatedly used as scenery for films about the war 2] The strength of the spirit of those people and the traditions of quality in which this castle was built is impressive- that it withstood more than one century and the war 3] The lake near the castle and the remains of moats around the castle is a tangible reminder that the castle 🏰 performed defensive functions 4]It is able to impress even if you stand 1 km away from it- not to mention near or inside 5]The massiveness of the walls is also impressive{the underground part is about 3-4 meters/the aboveground part is from 1 to 1.5 m}+the exposition of the Radziwills 6]The money that you spend on the way to the village of Mir in the Korelichsky district of the Grodno region +to pay for tickets + tour service is worth it - you get a charge of positive emotions for a long time (up to 5 years) 7]Ancient shopping malls + neat rows of manors create a tourist charm- that's why you want to come here 8]Shops with magnets where the Mir Castle is depicted +cafes next to the Mir Castle create a pleasant impression Cons: 1) I have never seen such a service as boat and catamaran rental - as it is near Nesvizh Castle in the summer
