The niches with exhibits around the perimeter are common, there are plenty of them in any similar museum, but the central exhibit with the preserved settlement is very impressive!

The first thought when placing it was how closely the buildings were located, it is interesting what guided the ancient people, there is a sea of fertile lands around, and the use of open fire could burn a village at a time. Well, the buildings themselves were surprised, one-room boxes of 3x3 m (sort of studio houses), or even less. Berestye - village of hobbits,

A small area. It is useful for general development. Visit only together with the Brest Fortress museum complex.

For a three. Kids are a little bored. There is little interactivity. The lack of a toilet in the museum was very sad.

An amazing museum, so well-preserved wooden and fabric artifacts can not be found anywhere else. A must-visit place!

A beautiful museum with a good exposition on the life of Old Slavic cities! It is necessary to go with a guide. The museum has scientific staff working with them, the exhibition looks much more colorful!

An excellent museum on the territory of the Brest fortress. At first it seemed that viewing the expositions would take 20 minutes at most, but we spent more than an hour there with the children. The nine-year-old daughter read all the signatures to the exhibits located around the perimeter. The central part of the museum is the excavation of an ancient birch bark of the 13th century, houses and 2 streets. Along the perimeter there are small rooms-halls separated by side partitions dedicated to history, crafts, culture. You can download the guide application using the QR code inside the museum

A very interesting film is constantly projected in a separate room about the history of the museum. The staff are responsive, sociable, and considerate. The object is admirable and both a monument of culture/archeology and architecture (modern)

An interesting museum! It's just very cold, apparently, so that the excavations are preserved, the exhibits are not heated. But it was great anyway.

Everything was done just fine, but I didn't understand anything, is this a museum of archaeological finds at this place, or is it just a museum of antiquity. No, it's not bad, but there are some questions 😁

Do not try to combine Berestye and Brest Fortress in one trip. You need to go to Berestye separately and be sure to go with a guide.

Positive: 1. The expositions are quite interesting. I would like to highlight the presence of a mini-cinema with the history of Brest, as well as an exposition immersion in medieval life 2. Friendly staff 3. There is free WiFi Minuses: 1. The audio guide is malfunctioning Bottom line: definitely worth a visit

It would probably be interesting, but despite the fact that we were alone in the museum (this is one hall - everything is in plain sight), we were not given a guide. Without a tour, you just look at the found remains of dwellings, a couple of rusty spearheads and the same amount of broken dishes. We didn't get the expected emotions.

An interesting museum where the excavated city of ancient Brest is right in the middle, and along the perimeter stands expositions on the first centuries of the city's existence. There is paid shooting inside, but the audio guide is convenient on QW, you download it from the playmarket and can listen to audio information on each stand. It's a little cold, maybe so that the excavated settlement made of wood does not spoil. Excavated in the last century, it is interesting how dense the one-story building was, you can shake hands with a neighbor without leaving the house (although the window is one and narrow, without glass of course)

The museum is under a dome, reminiscent of Kostenki in the Voronezh region. We joined the tour and learned a lot of previously unknown discoveries about the Belarusian land. Knowing a little archaeology, I did not agree with the guide on everything, and some of his hypotheses made me smile.

We went with the whole family. We had a wonderful time. Very informative. The design of the exhibits is presented according to thematic blocks. There is even a mini cinema area to see how it was all created. Thank you for your hard work.

An interesting museum of the archaeological excavation of a part of an ancient settlement. The remains of wooden buildings have been carefully cleared of age-old layers of earth and are on display. The preservation of wooden buildings is amazing!! It is convenient to view the remains of the settlement from all sides. Along the walls of the museum there are expositions with artifacts found during excavations. A great museum for the whole family to visit!!!

The museum is interesting, and the QR code is a link to the biarescie audio guide.krokam.by seems to be there...but the mobile Internet inside the pavilion practically does not catch: A1 at all, and MTS catches in places if you move as far away from the stands as possible to the excavation. To say that it is inconvenient is an obvious understatement. So I advise you to download the audio in advance either from the above audio guide (by the way, I liked it - very detailed), or from izi.travel (there is definitely a Birch bark tour there, but I did not check the content). You can book a guided tour. There is a video room right in the museum (without additionalboards), there are doc. films about Birch bark going on without a break, I was interested - but it takes time. Allergy sufferers should visit carefully: the smell of mold due to the specifics of the museum

It is very interesting, the expositions are selected with love and experience. The audio guide is free, it is installed on the phone in a minute. He talks normally, you set the sound yourself. You don't have to wait on weekdays. We were looking for coins, but there are none at ALL. The researcher who conducted the VIP tour admitted that the first excavations were carried out by the Poles, that's the whole numismatic secret)))

Definitely worth a visit. It will be especially interesting for children who are just starting to study history. Agriculture, animal husbandry, hunting, fishing, metalworking, weaving - each craft has its own exposition.

The Archaeological Museum, next to the Kholm gate of the Brest fortress. An interesting excavation of an ancient settlement, which is located under the roof. There are a number of exhibits, installations and a small video room around the circle.

An unusual building for a museum. The main idea is succinctly and clearly conveyed. The museum is not overloaded with information, the head does not ache from the abundance of exhibits. There is a room with a demonstration of a film about the excavations. I liked.

A good place to get acquainted with the history of the ancient city. It seemed to me that there was not enough of everything, but there is something. You can see both antique jewelry and tools. And also how the houses looked in those days.

A very original museum. It is better to pay for the photo shoot immediately. When it seemed to me that the houses were very small, it did not seem to me. If you compare yourself with 1000-year-old people and cows, you will understand that Hobbits were real.
