Nice hotel in the city center, metro nearby. Shopping centers and restaurants are nearby. The rooms are spacious, all amenities are available , the only thing is that ironing houses are not served in the room

Rahat Palace is one of the first high-class hotels opened back in the 90s in the then capital of Kazakhstan.
The central location, a high-rise atrium with galleries, transparent elevators, a yurt-shaped bar in the central hall, lots of greenery, comfortable rooms, high-quality service, delicious breakfasts. I stop with pleasure.

5 stars is the humor of the Kazakhs ... From the outside it looks nothing, inside it is also good (not counting the crooks of the bartenders), but the numbers ... If in one word - killed! The floor is time to be repaved, the carpet is torn and there are hollows in the screed… The fittings on the windows are all wobbly… The bed is leaky and patched 🙈 5 stars in Kazakh. It's funny, but only when the company pays on a business trip, I would immediately move to another hotel for my own. BUT I'm not sure that the quality of the rooms will increase with the decrease in stars. But the food is delicious (European cuisine), so I put 1 star, otherwise minus five stars.

Overall, positive impressions. I was in the middle of February 2023, every day I went from the hotel to ride on the board of the Cimbulac. We settled on the 10th floor. The Russian-speaking staff, good breakfasts, a sauna and a swimming pool too, three telephones (you can take them from anywhere in the room), a balcony, the view of the city is fascinating. Among the disadvantages, the hotel rooms are quite tired, in places the carpet is worn, there are chips on the windows and furniture. There is a refrigerator (empty), but if you do not leave a card, it turns off during your absence from the room.

Great hotel!
The breakfasts are great, the buffet!
I really like the lobby of the hotel, where one of the restaurants is located, and sometimes live music plays on the piano!
There is a gym, and most importantly a magnificent swimming pool!👍👍👍

It is pretty and as the photo says only the lobby.
We took a suite... furniture from the Soviet past. It feels like all the furniture of those times was dragged into a large room.
There was a set of sofas and armchairs made of leatherette in the hall. Everything is cracked and worn. There was no thought of sitting down. Squeamish. It's like they moved it from the basement of a seasoned sauna. What happened on these sofas, only vulgar thoughts come to mind.
The shower is leaking. The taps are creaking. The tiles are cheap.
Now to the pros:
The breakfasts are good, the pool and sauna are good.

Once the first five-star hotel in Almaty. Today, only the pompous lobby and well-trained (in places) staff remind of the former greatness. The rooms are very, very tired, the ventilation system does not cope with its functions at all. Breakfasts with a good assortment, but with a heavy workload, the staff does not have time to keep the tables clean and the coffee machines working. The price, of course, is much cheaper compared to the other 5, but the room stock and other unpleasant little things spoil the whole impression. Definitely not 5 stars.

The room was with carelessly pasted old wallpaper, the hotel is frankly old. Worn carpets in the halls. At the end of April, the room on the sunny side was heated in the morning from the sun to 26 ° inside, but the air conditioner did not turn on. When contacting the reception with this issue, they refused to turn on the air conditioning, because the system is common and the chief engineer turns it on later, apparently seasonally.
The 5-star hotel does not pull.

We lived here for a week in September 2023. I booked rooms through WhatsApp. We sent a booking notification to WhatsApp. Check-in on the day of arrival went without any problems. I asked earlier for check-in via WhatsApp when we were already on our way from the airport. Made. The hotel itself is made by a ring. It looks decent and beautiful. I was surprised by the sound insulation - the room is quiet. The room is without frills, on a solid 4. The food in the restaurant suited me. On the 1st floor there is a gym (I did not visit), a sauna (I went three times, everything is fine), a hammam (by my standards it is cold), a swimming pool (I went three times, you can swim, relax, you can even with small children, not for training). The conference room has everything you need for meetings. In general, I recommend the hotel!

A third-rate hotel is hidden behind the exterior gloss, there are no "five stars" here.
The single standard room needs repair: the floor covering is in some kind of stains, there are no sockets on the bedside tables, these "bedside tables" themselves have been tired for a long time, the water in the bathroom goes badly.
Breakfast starts at 7 a.m., not from 6:30 a.m. The breakfast is very poor by choice.
The outlet does not work in the lobby.

The hotel is nice and big. The rooms are spacious. The breakfasts are normal. Large swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna area and gym
Now about the cons:
- the gym is small with old, broken equipment, with a very meager set.
- in the sauna area, saunas do not work all and not always
- in our room, the balcony door was poorly closed and whistled with a draft. They couldn't fix it. They promised to replace the number, but they never did.

One of the worst experiences with hotels. Correctly, some write in the reviews that this is not Hyatt at all. It's not that it's not 5 stars, it can hardly be called 3 stars. The numbers are killed to zero. The shower is like in a student's room. Stains on the walls. The wallpaper is peeling off. The light is dim, apparently on purpose, so that this horror is not visible. The door handles do not hold. In the lobby and even on the floors, the air is like in a swimming pool - it is humid and smells of bleach. In general, the first candidate for demolition. I've reviewed 5 rooms and it's the same everywhere. As a result, I went to another hotel, just not to live here.
