It's a good airport, no questions asked. Everything is intuitive, it's hard to get lost. It is quite civilized and clean everywhere, in principle, as well as almost everywhere in the UAE 👍

I do not recommend it to vacationers. Airport for migrant workers. There are huge queues because of them. And all the advantage in saving time is eaten up. Therefore, it is better to choose Dubai airports.

A small, but quite cozy airport. Control, border-everything is fast and compact. Families with children try to spend without waiting in line to separate booths.
Of the minuses: a large Duty Free and a food court are located BEFORE the inspection area of personal belongings.
If you pass it now, then inside, at the gates, there are only a couple of mini-dutiks on 2 shelves and two coffee shops. All 🤷♀️
Therefore, try to buy / sit before passing the inspection and going to the gates.

A good airport, prices are very affordable, you can buy some water-it's not expensive, for our money about 30 rubles for 0.5, you can have a snack with something like a cake, also inexpensive, there are juices, yoghurts. There are places to wait, air conditioners are working. The temperature at the airport is comfortable. Our flight was delayed for 5 hours due to bad weather at home, so nothing, we walked around the airport, time passed quickly.

When I was going to be searched, the staff sometimes shouted in Russian "Come here!" and pointed out exactly where.
There was an exchanger where you can exchange rubles as well.

It turns out that the passport control is to the left. They scanned the exterior for a long time. But then it was back, everything was fast... I checked in my luggage, and the robot let me into the departure area...waiting and flying. It was a discovery that you can choose in-flight meals, tea and coffee for a fee.

There is nothing to do in Sharjah, but Sharjah Airport can be used as a cheaper way to get to Dubai. After landing, take a taxi and drive to Dubai. Or even cheaper: take a taxi only to the nearest Dubai metro Etisalat, and then take the subway. The subway in Dubai is luxurious.

Sharjah Airport has a twofold feeling: from the outside it is quite an interesting, I would say beautiful building, inside it is a very small provincial airport with a number of not very pleasant surprises. 1. Check-in counters - there are few of them, respectively, the queue. 2. Security - it's somewhere near zero: when we entered the airport building without any verification, of course I was surprised, but I decided that it was probably possible, but when we passed border control, entered the duty free zone and no one checked us all along the way, I thought and even tensed ( are people really going to be put on a plane unchecked???), in general, two metal detector frames and several security personnel appeared in front of the halls where boarding takes place directly. 3. Duty free - 2 small shops, and one of them looked more like a retail store against the wall. 3. Convenience and comfort of waiting rooms - unfortunately, it also tends to zero. Remember that if you still have to fly to Sharjah, charge all your gadgets to the full and preferably take a power bank, because at the airport there is a real problem with sockets, in each hall this is one place made in the form of an ugly column with sockets, most of which do not work, and those that they will naturally be busy))) Toilets in the waiting rooms should be noted separately. Very comfortable, nice, clean. There is a back room where you can sleep. There is a lounge area, $45 for 3 hours. Good food zone. Free cooler with drinking water! And the very best free good Wi-Fi! The quality of the fries is weak, they don't sell things.
