A torn duvet cover, stains on the sheets, there was no sleeping place for the child, they went down to the reception - they said everything would be in 15 minutes... I waited 2 hours for a blanket, a sheet and a cushion for the sofa to be brought, after making up the sofa, gornechny hesitated for a long time in the doorway hinting that I should give him something, having received nothing, he did not lose hope and immediately brought 3 dressing gowns, slippers, bathroom accessories and towels, I said thank you to him and closed the door... The next day, half of the towels and two rolled-up dressing gowns were gone, but the one my wife was using was not touched (the robe had a half-torn pocket and was stained). They cleaned up our place a couple of times in 6 days. But on the other hand, the annoying concierge literally demanded that we personally give him a good review on Google.
The queue at the restaurant for breakfast was already at 7:30.

The dining room restaurant. The assortment is meager. Empty plates are not renewed at the distribution. Fruits, in principle, do not update: leftovers and cores are laid out (ass crusts from melon and watermelon), no one takes them, the kitchen does not cut new ones. Meat in its pure form sometimes happens, but rarely. More often they offer a mash of sauce with meat-flavored vegetables. Out of desperation, people pick out any meat/fish component from salads, so salads become absolutely vegetable, even if the name was different. The kitchen does not update them. Themed dinners are held, but they are not realized by dishes, but by music or decoration. The kitchen is unchanged. This is not a joke! Sea food on Saturdays - it was good there.
Tables are cleaned very lazily. There is a queue of guests at the entrance, and the tables are littered with dishes. There is no seating. The tables are dirty, they don't get cleaned unless you ask for it. The glasses are dirty.

Elevators. There are few of them. The problems are obvious. Moreover, the staff constantly rides them, although there are separate elevators for them.

We are currently vacationing here, we have almost two weeks of hotel accommodation.
The room is normal, spacious, the furniture is worn, the carpets are an unknown color. There are a lot of elevators, it takes 15-20 minutes to get there until you collect all the floors.

The food is delicious, but the promised seafood themed days have not been seen in 10 days. But the biggest disadvantage is the transfer to the beach, you need to sign up for this mini bus at 7 a.m. on the next day, and you still won't sign up because people arrive at 6 a.m. The next day I came at 06:20, and still didn't sign up. Because the queue is huge. People get nervous and swear. And when you get indignant, the staff waves at you and snidely - bye bye (go to the room quietly) Crazy nonsense. It turns out that I'm on vacation, with two small children, I have to get up early, stand in line and still be left without a transfer! The bus driver is a different story, we did not reach the bus 15 meters with a baby in his arms, he saw us but closed the doors and left. It was a shock!

And he didn't leave while we were getting ready, despite the fact that the children were already crying a lot by that time, they should have eaten and gone to bed a long time ago. All our money and personal belongings were locked in the room. We were able to move into a new room around 2 a.m., which cost us a lot of effort, given the condition of our children. Moreover, we were informed that the next day we would move again, we could not go anywhere and sort things out all day. It was only in the evening that we were informed that we were staying in this room.
Our adventures did not end there, on the last day, right before departure, when the suitcases were already packed, a pipe burst in the kitchen and boiling water poured into our room on the packed suitcases and shoes, the children miraculously did not suffer, things got wet, but they did not even apologize to us, not to mention some The compliment, believe me, is not about taking care of people, you will encounter absolute indifference.

I chose this hotel with my husband for a vacation after reading the "good" reviews.
What we have in fact:
1) we were initially accommodated in the wrong room, which we paid for
2) the rooms are dirty
3) the room was changed to the correct one a day later and a lot of nerves were spent, while in the new room there is noise from water pumps, it is impossible to sleep, there is such vibration in the bathtub that the mirror jumps

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites And Apartments, and I want to share my impressions.

We had a family vacation twice at this hotel. The most important advantage is the location! Near the metro, buses, the bay is about 20 minutes on foot, but we took the bus. By the way, Alsafuh beach is closed for repairs. A little further on, there are several more beaches and even a night one! The hotel is right at the Internet City metro station, which is why it is wonderful. There are good views on the high floors, we had a sea view. But the noise from the road is constant and very loud, especially annoying at night. You can sleep with noise-absorbing headphones. Missing items must be requested through guest relations or by calling the number 0. Not immediately, but they will bring it. We asked for bathrobes, slippers and a third towel. Water is brought in liter bottles, if it runs out, you can ask to bring a new one. They bring it within an hour.
The breakfasts are monotonous, literally the same thing from day to day, but I didn't get tired of it in a week. They make an omelet, there are always fruits and vegetables. Come early, then there will be more places, and there is a veranda if there is not enough.
By the way, we were not charged a deposit, apparently tired of explaining what it is and why) Tour.our weekly fee is 120 dirhams, to be paid immediately upon check-in.
The area is full of shops, there is even an alcohol market, a cafe, and in general the area is not bad, cozy, you can just walk in the evening. I really hope that my feedback will help someone avoid it.For it is possible that this hotel could have claimed 4 stars when it opened, but only at the dawn of its appearance and, perhaps, due to the lack of competitors at that time.
According to the hotel in order:
1. The check-in is very long.There were a lot of people, everyone was waiting, the process was long and unhurried.We got to the room well after 3 p.m.
2.Problems with elevators.Due to the heavy workload of the hotel, we had to wait for a really long time, not all the elevators work, there are a lot of people gathering and everyone does not fit into one incoming elevator, which increases the waiting time.
3. The room stock is very old and dilapidated.Having changed three numbers, I can safely say that it wasn't bad luck with the number, but these are the realities.The furniture is old and partially out of order (as in the case of the window in our room - the handle remained in my hands when I tried to close it, and the bedroom light did not work at all).Everything looks very sad and pretty worn out.There is no sound insulation and the feeling that you are sleeping along the road to the sounds of traffic.
4. Cleanliness and sanitation leave much to be desired.The rooms have a persistent musty and old smell.Doors, handles and switches, furniture surfaces and even walls are dirty and stained in places.The window was so dirty that it was difficult to see through it.The tulle from the dirt is just gray.
There was an elementary lack of a brush in the toilet, the bathroom sink was clogged and the water in it stagnated constantly, but houskeeping saw this problem every day when cleaning.
The cleaning product had a pungent vinegar smell, which added to the overall odor picture.
5. Room service.For the first three days, until I went to the reception, they didn't even replenish our water.During the entire stay, such simple things as hygiene products such as brushes/pastes and tea have never been replenished.Often, a set of towels consisted of only two large ones, a foot towel and a small towel were simply not placed.We washed the floor, changed the bedclothes (there are no questions here) - this was the only thing that was noticeable.
6. To get to breakfast (directly to be in the restaurant), you need to stand in line for at least 20 minutes, or even more.
On the plus side: the breakfasts are quite edible; the bed is comfortable; the reception staff and guest relations agreed without question to replace the room all three times.
Result:Having traveled a lot, I can say with confidence that this hotel is absolutely not at the 4-star level and is objectively not worth this budget either. It is worth making a footnote that there is a category of superior rooms (as it turned out quite by accident) that somehow match the stated photos on the site, but probably at a different cost.
A lot of 3-star urban type hotels will be at a level above this four.
