We rested from 27.09 to 3.10. I liked the hotel, there are more pluses than minuses. A modern, cozy hotel with nice rooms. Delicious varied breakfasts (buffet). Every day cleaning, responsive maids. A warm pool. The sea is right behind the fence. Cool view from the balcony. This is one of the pros, cons-music is very audible from nearby cafes (we were warned when booking), a small territory (but we came to Abkhazia to walk, not on the territory), mosquitoes (the hotel has nothing to do with it), there is a fumigator in the room, not friendly administrators (but we are with them do not rest😄), but they will answer questions, they have had rotavirus (they could have caught it anywhere, I do not sin against the hotel, although ...). In general, the main disadvantage is very loud audibility, the rest is nonsense. So the pros are more than the cons. Will I go to this hotel again?! Perhaps.And will I recommend it?! Yes, but I'll warn you about the music.

I just want to take off my hat! We traveled with three children, before this hotel there were three attempts to settle in Gagra, which were crowned with failure.
Already desperate, we just went for a walk to the Ferris wheel and lo and behold- a decent hotel!
Before that, two hotels were closed for the winter (March is not the season), the third hotel was with huge bedbugs.
And so we go to Sokol, they assure us that they do not have bedbugs. We go to look at the room, see the cleanliness, an excellent bed with FOUR pillows * thanks for that*, go out on the balcony, see the pool and playground and unanimously decide to stay!
The breakfasts are excellent, there was even porridge on the water for the baby!
On the downside, the Abkhazians were shouting obscenities loudly behind the fence, but what can the hotel do about it:)

The hotel is located on the first line. The beach is 50 meters away... the rooms are comfortable. The staff is polite. The food is delicious! No worse than Turkey! I recommend it! The only feature is that there is a Pearl cafe nearby, it is very noisy until 00.00. I don't write this down as a minus, perhaps it will be a plus for someone.

The hotel is excellent, even very good for Abkhazia. We were out of season (mid-March), only breakfast was offered from the food, but there is no reason to complain about the quality of the dishes. A small but very comfortable area, there are tables, swings, a warm pool. There is nothing even to say about nature, in Abkhazia it is gorgeous at any time of the year.
Now about the cons. Everyone probably knows about the rolling power outage in Abkhazia, it would seem that the hotel has a generator and it will not affect you, but no, if you go out of season it will definitely affect you. We lived in a family room (its area is more than 40 squares), there is only an air conditioner from the heater, so apparently due to the fact that it is not the season, the administrators did not consider it necessary to turn on the generator during a power outage. As a result: at midnight you are left without light, heat, Internet, hot water and communication with the administrator. The only way to contact the admin is to go down to the first floor, see that there is no one at the counter and walk up to your 7th floor (but you will warm up). It didn't spoil our vacation much (we are young and love chacha), but if you go with the children, keep this in mind)
About cafe Zhemchuzhina: yes it's loud, yes live music, but what do you want when renting a hotel a few minutes from the beach in such a small town with a local flavor?)
P.s. In Zhemchuzhina there is a very tasty barbecue, but it's better not to drink chacha there. And it's better to take the barbecue to take away)

Minuses:1. There is a stained carpet in the corridors between the rooms.It's time to change the floor covering a long time ago.Especially where there is a cooler with water.
2. There is not enough rubberized mat in the rooms.Coming out of the shower, all the water accumulates on the floor and spreads further.
3.Not a working refrigerator.How many have not been rebuilt....It still doesn't cool down.
4. The Internet doesn't always catch on.
5. We had a family vacation.although there was a sofa for a child nearby, there were no bed linen.Although the number of children was indicated when booking.
6. It's time to change the rusty clothes dryers, which are located on the balcony.They hung white washed clothes and the rust mark was never washed.
7. Bed linen had to be changed every 3 days...Alas, the miracle did not happen.
We checked in on July 3rd.We lived until July 12th.The room is cleaned every day.
8. There is not enough microwave.
9. We arrived at the height of the season.It's about 30 degrees outside.At night 25.High humidity, linen dried for 2 days.
After the beach, you go to the room to rinse off and realize that now the air conditioner will blow through you.Adjust the operation of the air conditioners at the entrance to the hotel.Children are blown away quickly by such a temperature difference.

The first 2 days the food was varied.Then it's the same thing.Over-dried duck, borscht without meat (I was amazed to be honest.there is no meat for that kind of money).There is no choice of soups.Or it's chicken, borscht, with meatballs.If at 13 p.m. a large number of vacationers come for lunch...There are not enough places in the dining room.Someone is heading outside to eat.
Waiters should not stand in a bunch and neigh like horses, but perform their duties.Although everyone is polite and friendly.
After you eat the pickles.... the stomach starts to hurt.
The casserole was delicious and like in childhood!Udon with chicken!10 points for this!Butter and cottage cheese are also magical!
The downside is that there is no children's menu.I took porridge well for the child and bought cottage cheese.I didn't eat anything at the hotel.
11. A warm swimming pool.it is necessary to clean more often and prohibit vacationers from swimming in the pool without taking a shower.
Positive:1. The hotel is new.The location is good.If you do not take into account the local cafes near the hotel.The sea is nearby.
2.the territory is clean, there is a small Playground and there is also a children's room for 1 floor.the hotel.There are a lot of toys.However, animators are sluggish!

Great hotel! It's a minute walk to the sea. We went in May, took a deluxe with a terrace, I really liked it, in the evening you sit and listen to the sound of the surf, though I don't know how it will be on the terrace if there are a lot of people)
Buffet for breakfast and dinner, you can have lunch in the dining room across the street. The kitchen is good, wine for dinner (you can have your own). There are also tables outside and next to the pool. The maid will clean you 100% (cleaning every day). The heated pool was sometimes asked to be made warmer.

We were on New Year's Eve! In the first minutes of check-in, the mood went downhill! The room didn 't match the description , the wallpaper was cheap , the bathroom smelled like a sewer , and the pillows were disgusting (this was the first time I 'd encountered this ) .They asked for another room , as it turned out that all the rooms were in such a state , they moved into a suite with an additional fee, to say that, alas, there was no "wow".we moved into the other room , immediately went to check in , and we hear the older maid who showed us the other rooms share with someone that the Muscovites arrived , they don 't like everything , not only did they arrive earlier , but they also show off that the rooms don 't match !It was not pleasant, but as soon as she came up to us to help turn on the Split system, we said that the way you behave is not ethical and besides, to discuss the guests .

Nice modern hotel. The rooms are clean. Bathrobes, slippers, hygiene kits are provided. We had a rest at the end of March, so a warm pool is a big plus. The breakfasts are very decent-a buffet. We had our first vacation at this hotel. We were not warmly welcomed. Payment is convenient only for the hotel ( transfer to a physical card.to the person). Knowing the situation with viruses, they took great care of the child. We did not go to the sea, to the pool either, only traveling by car. Full board, as a result, on the second day- rotovirus. The rest of the rest was spent on treatment. Many people in the hotel are ill. It would be good for the staff to take measures to solve the problem. The unpleasant residue remained.

Great hotel! The food is decent on half board, quiet, clean, nice heated pool. Evening programs at the hotel for both adults and children. Our room was on the side with a view of the sea. It was very quiet and comfortable. There is a bar nearby, where there are discos all the time in the evenings. Friends lived in a room that overlooked it, of course you can hear the music late at night.
The location is excellent, the center of novaya Gagra, everything is within walking distance. The beach and the sea are half a minute away. There is an embankment for a walk.
The staff is very helpful and friendly!

It fully corresponds to the description: new, modern. The location is convenient, on the waterfront, near a 24-hour bakery cafe and a popular cafe with very tasty prices and excellent cuisine.
The rooms are spacious, clean, cleaned daily. The bed is soft, with lots of soft and fluffy pillows. Towels and bed linen are new, snow-white, branded. We took a room with a terrace: everything is as stated - a huge terrace with furniture, very comfortable. There is a set of furniture for gatherings (a sofa, a table, two armchairs, all with soft pillows); and also, there are sun beds, also with mattresses.
The breakfasts are very hearty, rich in assortment, for every taste. Lots of pastries and sweets. We especially fell in love with cottage cheese pancakes! Mmmmm...!
The pool is heated, the temperature is very comfortable; there are enough sun beds with mattresses. At night, the pool is carefully covered with a cloth (a reasonable and economical approach).
Very well maintained area. Reasonably planned, with illuminated gazebos for morning breakfasts or evening meals.
The staff is polite and courteous.
We definitely recommend you to visit.
Special thanks for the two birds who sat on the lawn in a new place every morning (who was there will understand).

Among the advantages : a new hotel , close to the border,private guarded Parking ,delicious breakfasts , dinners , a heated swimming pool , a great cafe opposite ,friendly staff go to a meeting. Of the cons : we lived on 3 floors and the hallway smelled like a kitchen , for some reason it was difficult to find a free table at breakfast, and in the first hour of dinner the doors were closed because of the full hall, people were waiting in the corridor. I stayed at this hotel at the end of June 2023. For a holiday in Abkhazia, the service is excellent, the hotel is quite fresh, the equipment and furnishings in the rooms for 4, the staff helps with everything, the room cleaning is good, the food is without special frills but delicious, from good products and in the necessary assortment. The main advantage of the hotel is its location, the sea is a 30-second walk away, its own small private beach with sun beds, located almost on the embankment in the city center next to the water park, Ferris wheel and a bunch of waterfront cafes. It was the first time we were at the Sokol Hotel. We rested for 10 days (from 06/23/23 to 07/22/2013). Room 304 on the third floor for two. The impressions are the most positive, one can even say magnificent! The hotel Is A Fairy Tale! A great modern room with a nice balcony, a large comfortable bed, a bathroom with a comfortable shower - everything is there! Friendly staff. I would especially like to mention our maid of the 3rd floor - Nina! Sweet, pleasant, responsive!!!! The room is always clean and tidy. Not a speck, not a speck of dust! Snow-white bed linen, towel! Every time you enter the room, a pleasant aroma of cleanliness and freshness! Thank You Nina So Much!! As for nutrition, this is generally something unimaginable! Not a single dish has been repeated in 10 days! The variety is off the scale! And most importantly, EVERYTHING is very tasty! Thank YOU so much for our great vacation!!!! If there was a score of one hundred points, I would put it all one hundred!!!

Until 24:00, you are unlikely to fall asleep with a shattered nervous system, because the Pearl cafe will not give! The smoke and fumes from the cafe and the shouting of songs and the scream of drunk people will not give you! Since July 1, I have been here and not a day has there been an opportunity to relax in silence on the balcony, listen to the sound of the sea! The beach! When I took a trip, they told me that there is a beach! There is no private beach! There are their own sun beds and that's it! Boats, boats, and all kinds of entertainments come into the sea, which is getting dirty, over their heads! The stench of gasoline is such that there is no such thing in Moscow! Question, have you come to relax, recover, or get a lot of negativity? I wanted to get fresh air, clean sea, calm beach, and not people who spread their blankets under my sunbed, that there was nowhere to put my foot? Rave! No hotel will pull in 4 and 5 points, because it cannot provide basic, safe living conditions! When there is no separate place for swimming and you are shouted from the ship, let's sail, we are sailing! And there is not a single toilet on their public beach, so rotavirus is in all hotels! I've been ill with us, and all I hear in the dining room is nausea or we've already vomited, who has 2, who has crossed out 3 days from vacation! Personally, I have stomach pains that accompany me all the time! Dear leaders, put things in order, do something so that people, having given you huge sums for vouchers, enjoy themselves, and the negativity and there were some minuses that overlap the pluses!
