Briefly about the main thing:
"A very atmospheric, mysterious place, surrounded by centuries-old pines and cypresses.
With a magnificent view of the sea, from which this cottage is not visible (as it was intended).
There are many interesting interior details inside that characterize the personality of the owner
["... low lampposts, armored glass, mirrors, looking at which from a certain angle you can see the whole room, a grand piano, furniture with special stuffing"]".
The main thing is short for those born in the USSR and living in the Russian Federation:
"I would like to mention the guide, who tells a very fascinating story, just a complete immersion in the past.
The price is low."
Still, yes - it's nice to immerse yourself in the past and you want a lot [as an option, "... you could make a wax figure of Joseph Vissarionovich, it would be just super"] for 10-12 years (13 too much ...).
Afterword for prominent political figures:
"Everything is modest, ascetic, but tasteful" (Oleg Malyutin is a connoisseur of the city of the 16th level on November 26, 2023).

I am in love with Abkhazia, Sunny, nature is gorgeous, our room was beautifully renovated, the staff was responsive, greetings from two sisters to grandma Bella separately, and without Ahra the beach would not be so hospitable, Dmitry is the restaurant administrator, always polite and tactful, buffet meals, the food is very tasty, everything is baked or boiled, there is nothing fried, I have never used stomach pills in Turkey and Egypt, pancreatin daily. We had problems when checking in, we were checked into the wrong room, but the girls from the reception decided the issue very quickly and did not even have to move to another room.We are happy to have discovered this place, we will definitely return!

The dachas of I. V. Stalin are my separate love. The Cold River cottage is one of the most beautiful that we managed to visit. A place with a mysterious atmosphere that evokes a sense of awe. There are many interesting interior details and architectural solutions that meet the requirements of that time and the personality of the owner of the cottage. The glass on the windows is made of rock crystal, which served as a natural air conditioner, mirrors in which you can see the whole room from a certain angle, low lampposts on the territory.
The tour is very interesting, the guide is a professional in his field and told the story of the cottage very enthusiastically, with riddles and humor.
Very picturesque views all around!

We were on a guided tour on 06/27.24 . The cottage impressed with its pristine appearance. Almost all the furniture has been preserved since the time of I.V. Stalin. All this is thanks to the museum staff. There is something to compare it with . There were two more. Many thanks to the guide Olesya for a great tour. We have always been interested in history, but thanks to Olesya, we have filled in many gaps. We learned a lot of interesting facts about the life of the owner of the cottage. I advise everyone to make a mandatory visit.

We visited the cottage in 2023 during our vacation. Visiting the museum left only positive emotions. Magnificent views, the sound of waves, the smell of conifers. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the events in the country (the war, the devastation around), the cottage itself and the furniture are in good condition. We visited the cottage with an excursion, a very pleasant young man spent it fun and interesting. For all the beauty and ease around the cottage, inside the wall, the fear and horror of the leader's guests are still remembered. I won't say that I would like to be alone there. I definitely recommend visiting the cottage. Of all the dachas we visited, I liked this one the most.

I went on an excursion recently. Very picturesque landscapes on the way to the cottage, steep slopes and serpentines. I am surprised how the bus could turn on such sharp turns. I really liked the area and was surprised that Sirius is very clearly visible from the territory of the cottage. Quite grandiose. But I want to say that, as I understand it, there is garbage in front of the checkpoint. But I think it's fixable.

The historical monument is in pretty good preservation of both the exterior and interior. Most of the furniture, fittings and plumbing of the era of construction. It is located on a mountain, offering stunning views of the surrounding area, including the sea. Stylistically, it is very similar to the Cottage in New Athos. There is no point in listening to the guide, a simplified retelling of long-exposed fairy tales. Tickets for September 2024 350 rubles.

I've been to several of Stalin's dachas, but this one really surprised me, it's a very beautiful and unique place. The silence, the beautiful sea views and the pine scent are dizzying. No wonder this cottage is considered Stalin's favorite. When traveling in Abkhazia, this place is a must-visit.
Among the wishes:
- start the fountain
- a photo zone with some remarkable thing (a tube, a cap, a phone)

I recommend visiting Stalin's dacha on the Cold River. You can walk around, look at the decoration of the house of the former head of the USSR individually, or you can also listen to interesting stories from the life of the Secretary General as part of the tour. But the most interesting and most important thing is the fresh air, views of the sea, nature, mountains. Be sure to visit, there are few such places and there are fewer and fewer.

Another summer residence of Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin. One of his favorite dachas. There is a river nearby-Bogrypsta, it is cold about + 7 and, accordingly, the cottage is named after the Bogrypsta river-Cold River. The cottage is located near Gagra about 15 km away, near the village of Tsandrypsh. They say Stalin saw this place from the ship, he really liked the place and as a result the cottage was built in 1932-1933, at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level. The cottage seems to be built into the mountain, has a green color, it was the favorite color of the leader and for the purposes of conspiracy the cottages were painted in this color. The cottage has 3 floors and a balcony. In this place, 3 microclimates merge, marine, river and mountain. The cottage on the top of the mountain in a pine forest is surrounded by the famous Pitsunda pines, and they are famous for releasing yellow pollen in late March and early April, which cleanses the respiratory tract and lungs.Low lanterns are located throughout the cottage, their light is not visible from any point , but only highlights the paths in the cottage.
And because Stalin could not stand the smells of food , kitchens were built separately from the cottage, we did not see the kitchen at this cottage, it was most likely far from the cottage , or the food was delivered and the kitchens not here at all .The windows have thick crystal glass, 10mm rhinestone, it served as a natural conditioner. In summer, such glasses did not let the heat through, and in winter, on the contrary, they saved heat. From some rooms, the view overlooks the rock, there is an assumption that the rock also served as a natural air conditioner, which is why in some cottages, when opening the windows, you can rest against the rock.

We drove to the cottage by self-propelled vehicle, without an excursion on the day of departure. Therefore, they could not wait for a new one and went for a walk on their own. It's a very impressive place. It is a pity that it was not possible to enter all the rooms. But we were also impressed by what we were able to visit. A large mirror with a curtain - 💣💣💣🔥🔥🔥. The view from the terrace is simply incredible.
If possible, I recommend you to visit. The serpentine to the cottage is a separate impression, as the bus goes down backwards there, it's something 🤔

We reached the white stones, a very beautiful place. A cold river is not far from the white stones. When they reached it, they turned up towards the sanatorium, you can take the elevator. We had lunch there (buffet 300₽/person) on the 11th floor, with magnificent views.
Stalin's Cottage is not far from the sanatorium.

During our vacation in Bagripsha, we decided to take a walk to Stalin's dacha-the cold river. According to the map, it's not far at all, the main thing is the right shoes, a hat and water. First by elevator, then next to the Sunny holiday home, we climbed up the barely noticeable stairs and went out onto the road leading to the cottage. The views from the road are simply magnificent, it's already worth a walk for them. Entrance to the territory of the cottage is paid, you can book an excursion. Not all rooms are open to tourists. You can't go up to the second floor. Dining room, bedrooms, bathroom, billiard room-everywhere there is a very interesting decoration of rooms and good-quality furniture. Unfortunately, the furniture paneling has changed, but the frames are original. There is another house on the territory (closed to tourists), according to the guide, Svetlana Alliluyeva stayed there. I recommend visiting the cottage Cold River and a little touch of history

We were at Stalin's dacha. The forest near the cottage was damaged by fire. The tour was conducted by a young 23-year-old boy - I liked it, with humor. but!!! ! WHO is going there for a tour or on their own - grab food for the kittens!!! A cat family lives there- they didn't even have water in the heat... we poured them into bowls - they attacked the water! And for bread.!!! Who cares about animals- feed the kittens and the cat (behind the bench ..) On the way to the cottage on the way there are hungry, skinny cats who run after a person, hoping for food and water...

Considering that we lived in a Sunny holiday home for a week, I considered it wrong not to climb 100 m uphill. Let's go together. A simple road along the serpentine, tourists are taken by buses to the entrance.
They mixed up with the arriving group, given the general confusion, no one noticed the addition of two new fighters.
Once the cottage was surrounded by a large infrastructure: security, kitchens, garages, etc. Now everything is overgrown with forest or occupied by local farmsteads.
So, the cottage. A green two-storey wooden house on a ledge cut into the rock at an altitude of about 300 m.
Original crystal glasses, parquet, wonderful plumbing for those times, mirrors, narrow wooden beds. Everything is permeated with sunlight. The furniture was overstuffed, it's not impressive in pink.
It is not known whether the Owner was at the cottage. Guides tell you different things. But the daughter and the guests were definitely there. The spirit of the era is soaring, it seems that the melody of the piano will sound, and guests will gather at the table. The same ones, without insignia, but with great power.
About 20 years ago, vouchers were sold to the country, you could have lunch at the leader's table. Now the bad practice has been curtailed, and rightly so, history..
Once the slopes were covered with pine trees, after a fire, an amazing view of the sea opened from the cottage.
In general, a must see. It's worth a look once. As I said at the beginning, it is not necessary to pay, you can climb past the rest house and join an organized group.

This is the second museum- the dacha of I. V. Stalin, which I visit. There are eight of them on the Black Sea coast. The museum is located in a very picturesque place, as it is located high in the mountains, and the views are stunning. There are unique exhibits that make it possible to understand the difficult nature of the owner: low lampposts, armored glass, mirrors, looking at which from a certain angle you can see the whole room, a grand piano, furniture with special stuffing. Looking at all this splendor, you can imagine what a titanic work was done by those who built and equipped it all. I would like to mention the guide, who tells a very fascinating story, right full immersion in the past. The price is low.
