There are several excellent cafes on the ground floor. I didn't live in the hotel itself, but I was at a conference. Excellent service, clean, comfortable. There are photos of the history of our cinema in the lobby of the hotel. The hotel has been perfectly restored and the hotel decorates the appearance of the city. The hotel itself has the spirit of Alma-Ata 60-70 and modern shades.

Great hotel. The rooms are large and cozy. But there is only one remark - it blows from the balcony, the gap where the door comes into contact with the floor. We stayed in winter for two years in a row and both times it was cold at night. And the rest is fine, the bathroom is newly renovated, the room is spacious. The room has a great view of the mountains, especially in the morning when it's dawn!

In the off-season and in winter - eternally cold rooms - minimum heating, there is almost no heating, you can say drafts - getting sick is almost guaranteed. The staff tries to slip in more expensive rooms, even if there are available standard ones that are cheaper. If only the money is disgusting. And to trump the place where it is located is not your merit

The Almaty hotel is old, one of the very first in Alma-Ata. And therefore she has the best location in principle! Although it is 3*, but the occupancy is high, because this is the very center, there are walking places here - that very Panfilov Street begins here, as if starting from the opera and ballet theater. There are also a lot of cafes, restaurants, snack bars, a Central deli and pharmacies, exchangers - everything is around. It's safe! Beautiful views of the mountains, as well as green squares (if you are lucky, if in winter, then snow-covered)))
The rooms are well renovated , excellent breakfasts , buffet lunches.
My guests are very comfortable there and they only book rooms there now)))

What I liked : we settled through booking without problems, cleanliness, cleaning.
What didn't you like : the sauna and pool are not working, I have not moved out yet, but they have already cleaned the room, they came in without me. The closet in the room on the 6th floor did not open, the furniture is old.
