I only give 3 stars, because I don't understand what the 4th is for. I once wrote a negative review about the Olymp Hotel in Kazan, it's the same story here. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo, but I'll share my impressions anyway. The room stock is old, the carpet in the corridors is faded, the tiles in the sanitary units are coming off even despite tons of sealant, the outlets of the taps in the shower are rusty, and the rust layer is decent, apparently for a long time. The request was for a room above the 1st floor with a sea view, the hotel responded that such rooms were available and eventually settled us on the 1st floor with a view of the pool, people lying in sun beds by the pool could perfectly view our room if the curtains were open. The floor is even triple, but due to the irregularities of the relief, it is located below the main building, lobby and pool area, as if going down, you find yourself in a corridor that stinks terribly of dampness and basement, and then in the same damp room. Sleeping in this room without an open balcony is not realistic, the dampness is directly felt. Upon arrival home, I brought a suitcase of damp, basement-smelling things. When asked to change the room, they simply "fed breakfast", to the question: "how did it happen that the reservation was for a room above the 1st floor, and eventually settled on -1?" they replied that they did not know which rooms would be available until the day of check-in, the question is how so?! And if nothing had been released, would we have been offered to settle on the sun loungers by the pool? The second question that arose is the lack of soap in the shared toilet, how is that? Here I am walking from the beach for lunch, to wash my hands I need to go to the room, this is the first time I have come across this. Upon check-in: we arrived first, we were the last to be settled, we stayed in the lobby until 16.00, although check-in is at 15.00. In general, we were not satisfied with the work of the reception. The rest of the staff is positive, sociable, towels were changed every day, the bed was made perfectly, the floors were washed, although in the semi-darkness of the room it was not clear how high quality. We paid for full board, the menu is not bad, fish, meat, vegetables, everyone can find something to their liking. There were plenty of sweets and fruits too. Drinks are included only in breakfast, for lunch and dinner, water can either be brought from the room or bought here in the restaurant. A rest area without complaints, a heated swimming pool, a warm Jacuzzi, there is even a water slide, the beach line is clean, 2 lifeguards are constantly on duty, one on the beach, the second by the pool, animators work hard: yoga, bachata, aqua aerobics and other activities. In general, we concluded for ourselves that we no longer set foot in the hotels of the Spanish company Barcelos.

A magnificent hotel on the first coastline. Formerly known as Sharjah Grand. In the 2010s, there was a great restaurant with a huge buffet, now the food is no worse, but the number of dishes has decreased.
Desserts remained at the same level, very tasty.
In general, no one will be hungry for food.
As for the rooms, they refreshed, the carpets were removed, it became fresher and more pleasant in the rooms. Comfortable beds, large balconies with gorgeous views. They even put up protection from birds so that the balconies would not clog up.

We rested for the first time in this hotel a long time ago, when it was still just a Grand. Then everything was fine, even the old repairs and noisy air conditioning did not react much. Now we decided to go for old times' sake, especially since we thought that the hotel was renovated. Bought into a bunch of positive reviews. But the impressions are not particularly. Check-out from the room at 12h, check-in at 15h. If you arrived earlier than 15h, then even though they promise to check in early, this does not happen, it's good if they check in at all at 15h. We saw how Russian tourists swore at 15 hours 15 minutes, who had been sitting at the reception for three hours. The deposit and passports are not taken. There is no minibar. There is also no carpet in the rooms, laminate flooring. There are terry bathrobes and disposable slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton swabs, a shower cap, a shaving machine, cotton pads. The rooms are shitty: the plumbing is killed, the tiles in the bathroom are beaten off in places, the sewer is forgotten, the water in the bathroom that goes to the toilet with difficulty, the toilet button the child himself will not be able to press-very tight. The sockets are all broken. There are several Russian channels on TV. All rooms have balconies, but there is nowhere to hang swimwear to dry, they hung it on the backs of chairs. People come, throw a towel or personal belongings on the sunbed and leave. And so it is all day: the sunbeds are busy, there are few people. The beach itself is big, but this occupation of sunbeds negates its dignity. The hotel administration does not react to this in any way, there is not even an elementary sign so that the sun beds are not occupied. There are a number of sun beds without umbrellas - also such a pleasure, so they hang out in the shade under stationary umbrellas and it turns out a bunch of small: it's like you're under an umbrella, but the sun has shifted, and you have nowhere to move - there are only sunbeds everywhere. Annoying flies on the beach got bored in the morning, this has never happened before. There are a lot of cats in the hotel now-they live on the beach and near the pool. In a corner on the beach, a feeder-type house is made for them and it is allowed to feed them there, but most tourists feed them everywhere. Cats look sick, with some sores like lichens. But the worst thing is that they go to the toilet on the beach in the sand under the sunbeds or they can pile a bunch right on the sidewalk. And the hotel administration does not care about this fact at all. There is a corresponding stench near the most shitty places. Near the pool there is music all day, which is perfectly audible on the beach. The music is all American, but not particularly intrusive, but monotonous - the same thing is repeated several times a day and every day everything is in a circle. The food in the hotel is for three, if breakfast is usual almost like everywhere else, then lunch / dinner is complete bullshit. You will not stay hungry, but it is unlikely that you will be able to eat delicious food. It's not about any frills, but at least about the slightest variety and organization. For breakfast, an omelet or scrambled eggs - you have to stand in line to the cook, sometimes for 10 minutes. The waiters approach the table only to remove the plates. They don't really bother to do it faster, as well as to clean the table after those who have already eaten. They can remove the table, but not put the appliances. Tea / coffee (from the coffee machine, including), everyone comes and pours himself, 3-4 people turn to the coffee machine too. Porridge one day is oatmeal, one is semolina, the third is rice, there is no bacon, baking-two types of croissants and one type of cupcake and buns-only 4 types of baking.From vegetables, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, salads-greens. I was surprised that neither for breakfast nor for lunch / dinner there is no elementary grated cheese. For breakfast, there are two types of tasteless sausage, cheese, cream cheese, maasdam and another type of hard cheese, boiled buckwheat, pasta in tasteless cream sauce or tomato, sausages cut into halves, boiled eggs, some kind of mash with beans, potatoes of the rustic type. Fruits for breakfast/lunch only watermelon, melon and oranges. For comparison, in the neighboring three-piece for breakfast, pineapples and papaya are always a plus. From juices for breakfast: mix, orange, mango, apple. For lunch / dinner, all drinks are paid, prices are the same everywhere, but the waiters themselves do not approach the tables, you have to go buy yourself. Lunch or dinner is very meager and not particularly tasty. No seafood, except for one kind of fish - they call it Mexican, in our kind of marine language-boneless, with a specific smell, and this fish is mostly in batter for all lunches and dinners, and breakfast too. A separate story with transfers: to the nearest shopping centers, transfer by minibuses provided by the shopping centers themselves, tourists are picked up from the Grand according to the schedule, this is the second hotel from which they are picked up, if a lot of people are coming from the neighboring treshka, then you can not get on the bus-there are simply no seats. The Sahara shopping center is decent, big, you can go once. But as for the trip to Dubai Mall, it is carried out once a day-this is a separate song, it is carried out only through booking in advance, through an application that you need to download to your phone. And it's really possible to sign up only at 00-00 hours for three days ahead!! Although, as it turned out, people book and then do not come to the bus, once there were 9 empty seats. If you haven't signed up, you can come up to the time and if there are free seats, then you can go. Before going to the beach there is a dressing room, there is a shower, benches, who are picked up late before departure, it is convenient to use and spend the day on the beach, and not sit at the reception. There is no desire to return to this hotel, there are other hotels in the Emirates that are both better and cheaper.

We went with a child. The sea is good, the Jacuzzi on the beach worked (after the sea perfectly). We went everywhere by taxi. The main thing in the hotel is not to take the second floor - it smells like a restaurant and the air conditioners are noisy (we knew and we were given immediately above. The rooms are clean, cleaned often, there were 3 Russian-speaking rooms in total (which could not but please :)) There is no theft. The guide came every other day - it wasn't the first time we were in Sharjah, so we didn't really need him. Nearby there are museums and inexpensive cafes. In cafes and shops, they understood both English and Russian. The hotel does not know Russian well. Located well. We had a great rest.

We had a rest in this hotel in the middle of August this year. The tour operator picked up the trip for us.

There is no alcohol on the territory of this hotel and the city! Banned. In Dubai, you can safely buy alcohol.
The food is delicious, but different from the food we are used to, the spices are a little different. The food is different every day and there is a large selection.
Also, there is a restaurant on the beach "La Bamba" and there we ordered a lot of food and cocktails during the day. By the way, one smoothie cocktail costs 35 dirhams. Pizza, shrimp, burger, salads we also ate during the day.
At night there is an opportunity to order food in the room, this is also included in our tariff.
The beach is very clean and beautiful. The lifeguard is watching the people. The pool is cool, clean.
The rooms are spacious and pleasant. We took a view of the city - worried that it would be noisy or not. Everything turned out the other way around, the view from the window is beautiful, everything glows at night, and the prayers are very beautiful - it's a pleasure to listen to them.
There was a view of the beach, but it is more expensive by 20 thousand rubles, a beautiful view in the morning, at night all the lanterns are turned off and the sea is not visible, so they did not regret a bit that they took a view of the city.
And the "cabana room" was also offered, on the first floor, here the cost increased by 40 thousand rubles. Arriving at the place, we realized that this is an absolutely unjustified cost, people go everywhere, there is a chance that someone will accidentally come to your room.
There is a transfer from the hotel to shopping malls, you need to make an appointment in advance to the Dubai Mall.

A lot that I liked. Rest in this hotel is for non-spoiled middle-class people :)
There are a lot of Russians resting here, by the way, it seems that most are satisfied.
So:
1. The service is excellent, they clean every day, if you don't want to, you hang a sign on the door and don't come in. We left tips, and they put more water on us, even left a box of napkins as a gift. The guys are nice from the cleaning, but they don't know foreign languages well, but you can say something in English, or a couple of words in Russian.
2. The dining room is excellent. We had breakfast and lunch/dinner. The food is different and there is enough of it. Buffet. There was no lobster, but there were shrimp in tempura, fish, meat, vegetable salads, side dishes, sauces, fruits - watermelon, pineapple, melon, orange. There is a children's menu - pasta, potatoes, boiled chicken, peas or corn.
3. The sea itself is beautiful, 1 line, gentle entrance. There are a lot of sun beds, but they are often occupied with umbrellas. But we always found it, especially since we were with a small child and came for a short time, not in the sun. And, keep in mind, there are jellyfish, big and small, we were stung several times, but it doesn't hurt at all, there are no traces left! But, probably, for allergy sufferers and sensitive people, you need to be more careful. If anything, a lifeguard treats jellyfish burns with vinegar on the beach.
4. Once again about the staff. Everyone is nice, cute. Russian Russian girls are at the reception, and some of the other employees know either English or Russian. There are good administrators in the dining room. They will help if necessary - for example, I somehow felt bad and my husband took food to my room. He was given special boxes. Drinks, by the way, only at breakfast. Then only for a fee. But if the budget does not allow, you can buy juices and water at the nearest supermarket (leave the hotel and go to the left). Water of 5 liters cost 5 dirhams when we were.
Those who have everything included may not be steamed at all.
5. There is a transfer to several shopping centers for free. You download the app. And there you book a trip to the Dubai Mall. And to other shopping centers without armor.
6. There is a nice souvenir shop downstairs in the lobby. I liked it, I don't have to go far.
7. Visited the aquarium and museum. 15 min walk from the hotel.
60 dirhams from two people for everything, and a small child is free entry.
Of the obvious disadvantages:
1. The Persian Gulf at the oil plant. Therefore, sometimes you can find oil droplets on yourself after leaving the water.
2. We had the 2nd floor. There is little light in the room, only side nightlights. The faucet in the bathroom above the sink is very short, it is inconvenient to wash. It's hard to press the drain button over the toilet, it's pushed into the wall :)
But, in general, I liked the room. The view was of the city. We have seen wedding festivities 2 times. They were accompanied by drum beats and songs. But it didn't last long and it didn't bother us personally. Even the baby slept fine :) And it was interesting for us to listen and see.
3. We were in September, very hot and stuffy for excursions, I recommend visiting the velvet season - October or November. Or else March-April.
Summary - we liked it and recommend a trip to this hotel. You can relax very well for family people, pensioners, and just those who do not need alcohol and a party to relax (in Sharjah, "prohibition").

But a big BUT. Meeting. The hotel is undergoing an incomprehensible renovation. The entrance to the ramp for buses is closed. The incomprehensibility of the repair is that we have not seen a single worker in two weeks.
However, a bus with tourists from the airport dropped us off right on the road, the driver pointed with his finger: go up there with your suitcases yourself.
And we, hungry, tired after a night flight, dragged our suitcases and hand luggage along the disassembled ramp over gravel and some construction waste. No one thought to help us.

Good day to everyone. We are now in this hotel (8yuly2022). Everything is gorgeous! The staff is beyond praise, friendly, attentive. Yesterday, the first day of check-in was check-in at 15.00, but we were already settled at 11. In the evening they called - clarified everything from ok, and satisfied. The room is spacious. A separate full-fledged bed was put up for the third person. Room on the 5th floor, city view, high-rise buildings are visible in the distance. Bathrobe, slippers, iron, ironing board, safe - everything is there. The food is very tasty, the choice of dishes is large and everything is delicious, fruits for breakfast and dinner (we have HB). Not Turkey, where everything is forced, but only a couple of dishes are really edible. In general, respect to the chef! The sea is clean, shallow enough for a long time, there are no unpleasant animals), there are enough sun beds, there are umbrellas over all the sun beds, the sand is fine white. The territory is small, the hotel is right on the shore. In general, everything is cool! Shuttles to the malls are free according to the schedule.
I heartily recommend it! And I understand those who go to the hotel several times already (I read in the reviews before buying! Who is confused that 4 stars is nonsense. Everything is very decent here! Many fives can learn to create such quality and comfort!

The territory consists of a swimming pool and a beach, there is not much place to walk. The beach and the sea are perfect. Clean sand, lots of sun beds, scooter and kayak rentals. Relatively close to Dubai - 30-40minute to Dubai mall. You can get there by a free shuttle from the hotel, but you need to book in time, there are a lot of people who want to.

We were with my son from October 6 to October 13. I really liked the hotel, Russian-speaking girls (Natalia and Victoria) work at the reception, they are very responsive to our requests. The rooms are clean. The food is very tasty, in the morning there are fresh squeezed juices (orange and pineapple). Very tasty soups. And in general, a wonderful hotel and staff. The beach is clean, comfortable. I really liked the hotel, but the only thing was that there were a lot of elderly people, probably 85% percent and unfortunately not all friendly. Then the children on the mattress in the sea interfered with them, then the children on the sunbeds talked loudly. They probably don't have grandchildren and their children weren't small. But this could not spoil our vacation, since the Persian Gulf blocked all the grumpy grannies and grandfathers! The sea is very warm up to 37 degrees, gentle. So, I recommend this hotel! Everything is cool!!
