Lida Castle is an architectural monument of the XIV century, which was built in 1323 by Prince Vladimir Gediminas!!!!! The oldest castle-castel in the Republic of Belarus!!!!! I understand that everyone has their own opinion, but when they write that there is nothing to watch, it's not true!!!!! Gediminas built the castle so that people could find shelter, not as a palace or residence, so the halls feature objects that match the theme!!!! And it is wrong to compare Lida Castle with other castles, because each castle has its own story!!!!! The castle staff tries very hard to keep visitors interested, so writing lies for the sake of HYPE is wrong!!!! Be healthy, all the best, and come to Lida Castle!!!!!!

The first stone castle on the territory of Belarus, founded in the 14th century, is the main attraction of the city of Lida. It has been restored, the old masonry has been preserved in places. In the 2 towers available for inspection, there are now museum expositions telling about the history of the creation of the castle and fortifications, the history of the USSR and Belarus. There is a lot of interesting information for those who are interested in history. You can walk along the walls of the castle. If we compare it with the advertised castles in Mir and Nesvizh, then the Lida Castle loses to these two in terms of entertainment. It is better to visit the castle with a guide, it will be more informative. There is a rather cozy cafe inside the castle courtyard, where it is nice to have a snack and relax.

We visited the city of Lida this year. I had the most pleasant impressions of the city, the infrastructure and the visit to the Lida Castle. I definitely recommend it to everyone. The castle has been restored, everything is very informative. It's a pity we didn't make it to the jousting tournament. The guests are treated with reverence, they try to satisfy all desires and requests to the maximum. I had just a situation that, at first glance, was insoluble, but help came in the person of the director of the castle, Anna Todeushevna. I quickly sorted everything out, decided, and helped. I consider her the Guardian Angel of this place. A low bow to her. And what a Kumpyak tavern on the castle grounds. Just keep in mind that it works from Friday to Sunday. The cuisine, the serving, the variety of dishes and drinks are beyond praise, the gastronomic delight. Yes, it's not exactly cheap, but it's a piece institution. Stop, have lunch, among the centuries-old walls of the castle, think about the obscenity of life, raise a cup to the founder of the castle Gedemin and just have a good time.

We had a full lunch on the castle grounds for about $6. On the 1st there was borscht, on the 2nd salad, a small piece of chicken, chicken cutlet, rustic potatoes with ketchup + kvass, orange tea.
The castle itself is just wow. Balconies with great views are just great.

Of the four castles that we saw in Belarus, Lidsky was impressed by the fact that there are photo zones and you can try on the role of princes and knights. Although it is sad that what was started more than ten years ago has not been completed, and it has already deteriorated so much that only dismantling will help. There is simply nowhere to eat something like a full set lunch on the weekend. Either pre-order, or search for a pub somewhere in the area with a wait of an hour and a half. And bring back the torture chamber, the children only went there for it - now, instead of an atmospheric basement, there is a vague ideological room with a banner on the floor and absolute "nothing."
