A very interesting historical place. We tried on the armor with the child. We really enjoyed it. This place is worth a visit.

I was lucky enough to get on an excursion conducted by the head of the museum. It was very interesting, informative, even fun. We had a lot of fun for a nominal fee. We took a lot of photos in knight costumes, crowns at the dinner table. Thanks to the museum staff! I sincerely recommend it.

The castle, according to the locals, has been renovated — there is little left of the former architecture. But it is quite an interesting and informative interactive museum of the history of the castle in one of the towers. In general, there is not much to do on the territory of the castle itself. Unless you sit in the Kumlyak tavern and drink homemade tincture)

great. Like it. It turned out to be a surprise that the castle has as many as 5 floors! The walk along the wooden gallery at the 3rd floor level turned out to be very exciting. Well, the "cheerful" collection of torture instruments surprised me. Well, the funny neighborhood of an ancient hearth and a modern fire extinguisher. 😀

Extremely informative. The castle has been partially reconstructed, but this does not spoil it, the historicity of the place is felt. If you have boys or fighting girls, definitely yes. The exhibition is partially interactive, and the staff is extremely liberal. It is worth plunging into the era of the Middle Ages, you will feel yourself at 10-12 years old))

It is a very large-scale structure. The business card of the city of Lida. I haven't been here for 25 years. During this time, the city center and the area around the castle have been greatly transformed. There is a museum inside the castle, worth a visit once. There is also a cafe on the territory of the castle, I don't know, but I think it's very expensive, but it's atmospheric. I really liked the "Torture Room" hall, very unusual exhibits.

I really don't want to write a negative review, but I want to draw the attention of the management to the problem. We had booked the tour in advance, it was our first castle in Belarus that we visited. It is a pity that the guide (unfortunately, I did not remember the name) was unfriendly, even rude, she clearly did not want to conduct the tour. Later I saw that on the territory of the courtyard other guides were telling some stories about the general history of the place, about some architectural features. Our guide immediately took us to the tower, began to scold everyone in advance that everyone always touches and breaks everything, and you are also likely to do this, but I threaten you – do not do this. To be honest, my husband and I left in the second hall. And we weren't the only ones. It was extremely unpleasant to be in her company. That is, it turns out that we paid for the tour, but left without receiving any interesting information. The lady was so unpleasant that I generally wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
Please note that the guides work with people, these people have come a long way to visit your castle (we drove from Smolensk for several hours). They expect high-quality service, respect, and interest.

In general, it is normal to bring children together. Almost all the halls are modern reconstruction and the inventions of restorers. The torture room is cool, there is a tavern on the territory, but I did not get there, there was special maintenance. You can stop by if you're passing by.

Entrance is paid, even to the courtyard (at least the woman from the booth said so at the entrance). They did not ask about anything, as they were not impressed by the appearance from the outside. It can be seen that the main part of the walls has been completely rebuilt, so it is less interesting. There is a castle among the high-rise buildings, which also reduces the charm.

An interesting, fully restored 14th century castle. Accordingly, the exhibits are mostly replicas. A lot of things, armor, interiors, instruments of torture, fruits and vegetables. In any case, it's better than an empty space. The children will definitely be delighted. I really liked the interactive geographical maps, Friendly and professional staff. There are good souvenir shops at the entrance to the castle.

We went to Lida to the museum of the beer factory and stopped at the Lida Castle on the way. The monumental wall of the castle is visible against the background of the lake, from which fountains are beating. There is no external beauty. There is paid water in the courtyard, historical buildings are located on the territory, in which the history is revealed. Nearby there is a Lida beer restaurant where you can eat. There are souvenir stalls everywhere.

The main thing is the atmosphere! Majestic walls and towers take you back to the past, when fierce battles and noisy fairs took place here. And interactive excursions make the visit even more exciting – the guides tell the story of the castle in such a way that you forget which century you live in.

The castle is like a castle!
They wanted to get into the courtyard, but it turned out to be paid.
Please tell me, what is the money to pay for? For a large empty area of paving stones?
It's one thing when money is taken for climbing to the observation deck, walking along the walls of the castle / Kremlin, for a museum.
And here, what should I pay for? For entering the only building on the castle grounds - a restaurant?!
People, DO NOT WASTE TIME ON IT, but rather go on an excursion to the museum of the Lida Brewery in the same town!!! Much more interesting!
P.s. Cards are NOT accepted in souvenir shops in front of the castle! If you want a magnet/souvenir, come with cash. The only ATM near souvenirs, rips off the card at a FRANTIC rate! Unfortunately, we realized this too late. 😒

There is no master, poor thing. It's dirty around the fortress, with crumbling walkways and ladders.
The cafe is only on order for groups. There is no audio guide and it is only in Belarusian. There are a minimum of exhibits, the upper floors of the towers are occupied by an exhibition of paintings by a modern local family, paintings are consumer goods.

The castle is basically a new model, an interesting room with objects for torture. The rest is a bit boring. These are mostly maps and illustrations.
The caretakers, or whatever you want to call them, are very stuffy. If you come to look, you'll immediately mumble "DON'T TOUCH IT WITH YOUR HANDS," and I wasn't going to... There are sandboxes for excavations, obviously for children, but they stand above the grilles of the heaters, for which again the negative appeal "I just cleaned up" was received.
The castle is like a castle. You can watch it, but it's about nothing.

The impression is slightly spoiled by the fact that the entire new building is made of bricks, not boulders (I am not a restorer, so I do not understand why it would not be possible to repeat the original appearance if there are a lot of cobblestones in the area)
The museum's exposition is not large, but the main thing is the interior and atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to take a guide, be sure to take it, this is not an audio guide, but much more interesting and informative.
There is a tavern in the castle itself where you can have a snack, but there were no visitors at all, as well as waiters or menus at the entrance, so I had to go look for other cafes in the city (and this is a big problem in Lida)
