A beautiful large-scale monument. Of course, the restored castle is a fortress, but I recommend visiting it. Even on their own, and even more so with a guided tour. The exhibition tells about the life of the Middle Ages. The hall with the armor of the 12th and 16th centuries made a special impression. There are many expositions with which you can take pictures. It is very interesting for children. It will be difficult for the elderly to climb the steep stairs. The staff is very friendly. They offer assistance in photographing and searching for information. In general, I liked it. If I happen to visit here again, I dream of getting to the reconstruction of knightly duels.

I really liked it and so did my wife. We were in Lida for the first time and decided to stop by the castle, we did not expect to see so many interesting things. The staff of the castle is also very kind, they touched a lot and even gave it a touch. Thank you so much for the tour.

Not to say that there is nothing to see, but just for once. The exposition is located in two towers - 4 and 5 floors. The passage between the towers along the wall is colorful... In the museum, for the most part, everything has been restored, there are very few preserved exhibits, very much.

You will not find this battle castle and monograms with luxury apartments there. Buying an entrance ticket, you follow the route yourself, examining the towers alternately and walking along the walls, everything is great, beautiful. Please note that in the first bash on the second floor there is an interactive map of the history of Belarus, where by moving a special marker on the screen you can trace the history from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to the present day.

An interesting place, but subject to inspection along with visits to other places. It is impractical to allocate more than half a day for inspection! There is a small museum with interactive content, the museum fund (exhibited in the halls) was not impressed by the antiquity. Mostly decorations and costumed mannequins. But it is still necessary to stop by and see) the place is old, with a history. The museum staff try and love their work. It was interesting to walk through the museum at a brisk pace and take a walk in the castle and the surrounding area 👍

It is definitely worth visiting here. If you are a small history buff, then the scale of the restoration work, a large amount of interactivity, atmosphere and photo zones will still interest you. If the story is interesting, then there is a lot of material on the rise and fall of INC. Many Russian regions would like to learn from Belarusians how to preserve history and how to make money from it.

A funny object. The new model is 80 percent. Locals said that they tried to restore it by building walls of huge boulders, as it was in the Middle Ages. However, the secret of the bonding solution was lost and the stones fell apart and fell out. The builders spat on this matter and built walls with brick towers. The photo shows that the lower low part of the walls is made up of those medieval boulders, and the rest with towers is made of new bricks. In general, if you want to admire the antiquity, then you need to come here in 300 years)))

It's a beautiful place, we were here on a guided tour. It was very interesting to learn about the history of this place. Unfortunately, little has survived to this day and the new model has reached our days. It is very good that such memorable places are undergoing reconstruction.

I recommend you to visit. We accidentally got into a "preferential" day, when the entrance for adults is 3 rubles, for children 1.5. Even without a guide, a walk through the castle will bring a lot of impressions and emotions. The children were delighted and so were the parents)

They didn't sell the drink in this heat, because they explained that they don't sell it for takeaway.
All the tables were reserved for excursions, sadly.

On the way to Grodno, we decided to visit the Lida Castle. I really enjoyed wandering around it, we were without a tour, on our own. We bought a thimble next to it in the tent. The castle is interesting, we recommend you to visit. I love places like this.

Not bad, a small castle, roughly speaking only walls, but there is some highlight in it, it is a basement with devices for torture by the Inquisition. I am sure that something like this happened in both the Sea and the Norwegian castles, but they do not show it there. Lida, Lida Castle, take this into service while you live all the horrors of that era and it seems to me that in this case you will be on a horse! Put an iron bull in the central square and make the castle a reminder to everyone what the Inquisition is all about.

We arrived at the castle on Monday. Apparently, there were practically no visitors due to the weekday. Nevertheless, an individual tour was conducted for the four of us. The guide was very competent and answered all our questions, which were also asked with knowledge of the topic. I would also like to note the very friendly attitude of all the staff.

It's such a castle, it won't be interesting a second time. Nesvizh leaves completely different emotions, you want to come back to it again and again, there are 4 walls and a couple of stairs. With closed borders, it is definitely worth visiting Lida, but apart from this castle and the beer museum there is not much to see. The area around the castle is clean and tidy, a pedestrian street begins immediately from it, which ends before it really starts. You'll have to walk to a decent restaurant (which seems to be the only one).

I am not a builder, but how crookedly the restoration of this castle is done catches the eye even to an amateur! We used a hollow red brick-are you serious? Have you seen pieces of broken 1:6 bricks in the masonry? Then pay attention! And the wooden structures that have rotted away? The 21st century is in the yard, there are so many ways to protect a tree even in an open area, and you ruined everything!! It's scary to look at all this... the impression that he came to see the neighbor's barn that he built from what was for his chickens... the lake, has anyone tried to clean it? It looks like a dirty puddle in front of the castle. But, well done, at least they're trying to do it. I recommend going, there's not much to see, but for show you can

I will attribute difficulties with the toilet to the shortcomings. The one on the territory of the castle has one 'seat', and the one next to the territory is paid and accepts only cash (it may be written otherwise, but the terminal loses connection with the network, etc.)

All the pleasant impressions of visiting the museum (04/27/2024) were crossed out by the disgusting behavior of an employee of the souvenir shop and the administrator on the territory of the museum. At the entrance to the gift shop there is an information sign indicating the opening hours until 19-00, and at 18-24 we were refused service and the door slammed literally in our face. The store employee motivated this by the fact that she needed to remove the cash register and therefore she would not serve us, but when asked about the working time until 19-00, she turned her back and went to the administrative building. The museum administrator did not understand the situation, she also did not explain why we were denied service at the specified opening hours, she said in plain text that she did not care about the opinion of visitors, the image of the museum and the fact that people would read a negative review. Also, she did not try to defuse the tense situation, but on the contrary deliberately began to say that she would do us a favor and open the store, despite the fact that the employee would be fined because of this, and the fact that at that moment, according to the set time, and so the store should work, did not bother her, the store employee at that time only laughed, or she made a displeased expression on her face alternately. After such a "performance", the desire to buy souvenirs, and even more so to visit more or recommend someone to visit, completely disappeared. By the way, the souvenirs were eventually bought from private traders who are located at the entrance to the museum and who fortunately know how to communicate kindly with customers.
In conclusion, I can say that driving several hundred kilometers on a day off to get such a boorish attitude is definitely not worth it, and the museum management should clearly look at what kind of employees they work for and whether they are in their place!

After reading the reviews, I didn't expect much from visiting the Lida Castle, but we liked it) Especially the fact that they are allowed to be photographed not just against the background of the exhibits, but also to use them, for example, you can sit down at the table, put on a crown and imagine yourself as a king and queen at a feast of those times))) It is better to visit on weekdays, when there are few people and you can slowly explore everything.
