I've gone to heaven!!! It's my first time in Egypt and my first time in this hotel, and it's just incredible. There is an incredibly beautiful territory, and an insanely delicious buffet, and insanely Pleasant staff. And what else captivated me was the animation. The program is very pleasant and the animators are very friendly, funny, uplifting and conduct amazing activities such as zumba, water aerobics, stretching, volleyball, a lot of interesting things. Especially the animator Max is very friendly, does an amazing job, and gives a good mood. And the evening shows are also very effective, I really enjoyed the dance show 1000 and 1 night!! Gorgeous beautiful dancers and dancing. And cleaning room is perfect. All perfect. Thank you so much about with paradise!

The hotel is wonderful for 4 stars! We were in early September Positive: + There is a lot of food, there is a lot to choose from + the sea is clean, there are not very many people + activities + empty pools, it is difficult to swim quietly together + cleaning every day + close to the airport and the city + wonderful beach Minuses - terrible clerks in the on-site shops, you shouldn't even get involved. - no slippers/bathrobe - the floor is not always cleaned - cocktails in free bars are very strange - for the first time we faced an additional payment for cocktails in glass glasses)) Important and strange in my opinion Initially, we were put in a room with a door in the wall to the next room! The door is inside, everything is very audible right up to when the neighbor put on his slippers. And it's scary, to be honest. They asked me to change it. They gave me a room without a door, but with separate beds... It turned out that king size beds are only available in rooms with a door to the next room. If you want without a door, there will be 2 separate beds. (The cleaner can move the beds and put a large mattress pad on them) In the end, we chose the second option)) I am attaching a photo of the door :))

We had a rest here in August 2025, and really enjoyed it. A cozy hotel, 12 small buildings, clean and well-maintained territory, lots of greenery. Location right on the shore of the Red Sea, its own beach equipped with sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, toilets. The beach is sandy, the entrance to the sea is shallow. There are also 5 swimming pools on the territory, the central one where the animation program takes place, 2 deep ones for swimming and 2 for small children. The hotel has three restaurants, a central buffet, a la carte restaurants of Italian and Oriental cuisine, visited all three, were satisfied. There are bars on the beach and by the pools. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, they speak Russian well enough, there will be no problems with the language barrier. There are many different shops, it is possible and even necessary to bargain, this is the favorite entertainment of the Egyptians :). If you need a calm, measured rest, I recommend it!

I stayed at the Mercure Hurghada Hotel for a couple of weeks. Overall, I had a good impression, although there were some minor drawbacks. The main advantage is the location. The hotel is located right on the shore, the sea is nearby, the beach is clean, the entrance is gentle. You can swim in peace, snorkeling is not bad, the water is clear. The territory is well maintained, lots of greenery, several pools — you can always find a quiet corner. The staff is mostly friendly, they try to help, especially the guys from the restaurant and the animators. The atmosphere is light, without pathos, but with a relaxed mood. Now about what spoiled the impression. The rooms clearly need updating — the furniture is old, the paint is peeling in some places, and the plumbing is tired. It's not critical, but it's clear that the repairs were done a long time ago. The Internet is weak, it catches mainly in the lobby, and it often disappears in the rooms. The food is average: you won't stay hungry, but the menu is monotonous, the drinks from all inclusive are simple, without frills. If you are looking for luxury and complete silence, this is not the option. It is quite active here: music by the pool, evening shows, children's animation. But if you just want a warm sea, sun, normal food and without too much fuss, it's a worthwhile option. In general, the hotel left a feeling of a good "four-day" vacation. It's not perfect, but honestly, it's great for your money.

The best hotel I've ever been to in Egypt. Friendly staff, attention and care at every step. The territory is beautiful, green, lots of flowers. One unexpected bonus: a family number instead of the standard Wi-Fi number. A huge comfortable bed, a huge bathroom with a large shower and a large balcony. Everything is clean, white linen, bathrobes and slippers were brought upon request. The animators are great, darts, stretching, all kinds of aerobics, in the evening after the children's disco show program. The restaurant is delicious, the waiters try their best, the chef is constantly in the hall, communicating with the guests. Sea... Clean, beautiful. There are not many fish, but there are. The tides are there, but not too noticeable. There is windsurfing on the left side of the beach, due to this, the water area for swimmers is limited, but not critical. But it's very fun to watch the "sails". The approach is sandy, coral slippers are not needed. There is a stable for 15 horses on site. Even if you don't know how to drive, you can always come to feed them or just look at them. The horses are clean, well-groomed, and calm. I definitely recommend the hotel.

If you understand that this is 4, not 5 stars, then everything is almost perfect. The rooms are not new, but they are very interesting, with good-quality Moorish-style designer furniture. The beach is beyond praise: a lagoon with loose sand and no waves in any weather, a small reef at the end of the fenced swimming area (where lifeguards work very conscientiously and strictly). There are always enough places for everyone: there are no battles for sun beds, so everyone is happy and relaxed. A separate delight is the restaurant... Not every African top five has such high-quality products. Everything is always fresh, in abundance, without queues and perfectly cooked. The service is normal, without any familiarity. The dishes are really clean. If a breakdown occurs (we had a blockage in the sink), it is eliminated quickly enough, within a couple of hours. In short, the Sofitel, having turned into Mercury, has not ceased to be one of the best Hurghada hotels in terms of price/quality ratio. I hope it will always be like this. And, of course, we are their customers for a century.

We stayed at this hotel with my husband in September 2025. We arrived early in the morning. The guest card was filled out at the reception. After that, we were invited to sit in the lobby. They didn't explain anything further. I myself later found out from the receptionist that at 10:00 we would be given bracelets and we would be able to have a snack at the AZUR bar (coffee, tea, cookies), and we would be checked in only at 14:00. (No early check-in and a normal breakfast.) We had coffee, changed our clothes and went to the beach. So do not waste time and also go to the sea or to the pool. The hotel has its own large territory. Several 3-storey houses with rooms, 3 swimming pools, several bars, the main restaurant and 2 a la carte restaurants: Italian and oriental. Each one can be visited once for free. But keep in mind that alcohol is in them for a fee. I really liked the oriental cuisine restaurant: several types of meat, served on hot coals, everything is very tasty and satisfying))) I was not impressed with the Italian ((( They make very tasty pizza at the pool bar from 12:00. There are also burgers, hot dogs, French fries, soft drinks and beer. The main restaurant serves delicious and varied food.👍Nice beach. There are small coral reefs, many different fish. We even saw a stingray. We were checked into a room on the 1st floor. The room is large, with a balcony. There is a refrigerator, TV, kettle. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. During the day you can play volleyball, football, darts, table tennis. There are also animation guys who do water aerobics and stretching. In the evening, various performances and contests. We really liked the hotel! I recommend it to everyone.

A wonderful hotel for a quiet, peaceful, cozy family vacation. Unobtrusive, responsive, quiet staff, Gorgeous well-groomed territory, clean beach with reefs and fish. Tourists themselves, mostly Europeans, litter a lot, and they break the rules, such as going to a restaurant in a swimsuit. I repeat that mostly Europeans litter. Glasses and bags are thrown right on the beach. The food in the restaurant is excellent, there is a large selection for every taste and color. In general, everything is fine in this hotel. Tourists should take care of themselves and not behave like piglets, it is very unpleasant to see how cups thrown after drinking a cocktail are flying along the beach. Pools are cleaned and disinfected daily. We see it every day. There are lifeguards on duty at every pool and beach, all for a safe stay. There are outdoor showers and footwashers on site. Upon arrival at the reception , I voiced my wishes for the room , but I still came to celebrate the anniversary . 😁 The room was given to a family , with a large terrace , a bed and a view of the sea . 🌊 ( without extra charges ) just the royal chambers for me ) The food is quite varied, the hotel is very full, so it's better to come either to the beginning or to the end of the meal. Entering the sea on the soft sand is perfect! There would be enough sun beds if the vacationers did not get impudent and did not occupy them early, but would probably come at closing time) at the moment I am on the beach (the third hour as) and I observe the sun beds occupied by towels without people. A good hotel for a relaxing stay. Among the advantages: the territory is large, there are many pools, there are enough sun beds, there is enough for everyone, the sea is clean, the rooms are cozy. Cons: very weak animation, both for children and adults (there is something to compare when vacationing with children in another place). Wi-Fi does not pull anywhere except the reception area. We would be in the far building and had to go there several times a day to catch the signal. Again, I had the experience of staying in a 3* hotel, and even on the beach and in the remote buildings (bungalows) everything was fine. The food is good, but monotonous, it gets boring in 10 days. We had guided tours scheduled every other day, so we weren't bored, because the hotel is for a very relaxing stay :) If you are going to rest in sleep/eat mode, then you will like it.

I had a rest from 08/6/25 to 08/14/25.I really liked the sea, it was perfect, clean, and the fish were swimming.I am delighted with the sea. The lagoon is a small swimming pool, that's my opinion. There are signs everywhere, you won't get lost for sure, and the territory isn't that huge. They cleaned perfectly, the furniture was a little old, the safe was broken, and the battery was dead.The room cleaner is a simple and friendly man. The room manager, Adele, is a very cool person. The sun beds on the beach are very old, but there was enough for everyone. I didn't notice any queues on them, as they say here, you can always find them, even near the shore.Very clean area, green.In the main restaurant, the breakfasts are normal, the lunches are excellent, and the dinners are perfect.There are few fruits, but this is my subjective opinion. The tables are streaked, and there are no paper napkins.The ala kart Italian restaurant is a rare piece of trash.I don't understand how they cook these dishes or how to eat them.She left, couldn't eat. In August, we had a family vacation at the Mercure Hurghada Hotel. It was my first vacation in Egypt and the first experience abroad with the whole family. Maybe my review will be a little irrelevant, because the hotel will be updated in the near future, but since I do not know what exactly it will affect, I'd better express my opinion. The hotel was chosen for a long time based on the criteria of price / quality, in the Mercure this ratio was the most optimal. I watched video reviews and read reviews about the hotel, consulted with two travel agents and they agreed: the hotel is decent, decent. The territory is quite large, green, high-quality manicured lawn, palm trees of various types, shrubs everywhere, everything is more than aesthetically pleasing and pleasant. The only disadvantage is that there is very little shade, and there are only a few spreading trees, so all movement around the territory takes place mainly in the open sun. The hotel consists of three-storey detached buildings, our room was located in building 35. The building is old, and so is the room... in general, everything is clean and tidy, but there is no gloss anymore. We had a family room consisting of a large bedroom for parents and a small bedroom for children, which had a bunk bed. In one of the reviews, I saw that such rooms are occupied up to 12 years old, and my son is already 14. Upon arrival, I realized how well-reasoned this was: sleeping for a child over 12 years old was really only at the bottom, because at the top his feet rested on the side, of course, the son whimpered, but in the end they settled in, got used to it and slept soundly every night. Plumbing, towels, linen - everything was clean and snow-white, the only unpleasant moment was that there were pellets on the sheet of the double bed, the feeling was unpleasant. Then the linen was changed and the problem was resolved. The balcony is small, there is an old plastic table and two chairs on it, which we always used to dry towels and swimsuits, since there were no dryers or ropes on the balcony, a rope was stretched in the bathroom, but everything dried on it for a very long time. The room has a very high-quality split system, we adjusted it for ourselves, I want to note that there was an air conditioner in the nursery, but it was aimed precisely at the upper tier of the bed, so we turned on the system in our room, the door was not closed in the nursery and it was more than comfortable, even sometimes covered with blankets. I would like to note that in addition to towels, hand soap, shampoo and shower gel, there are no bathrobes, slippers, or other paraphernalia in the room, which is issued by any three-star hotel in Russia. The sea is wonderful, the entrance is clean, sandy and there is no fear of stepping on something sharp, the children always swam barefoot, I love diving and swimming and was very worried that I would not have enough reefs and impressions, but my fears were not confirmed, I swam heartily, my son and daughter also swam with me to the reef. Everything within the buoys is also full of fish among the rocks forming a horseshoe cove. There were always free sun beds on the beach, and the hotel staff helped move them into the shade. Of course, everything is pretty shabby, but there was enough room for everyone. Towels were given out in a small house next to the central pool - at 8 a.m. you could get your hands on clean ones, and only hand them in after lunch, they were not changed during the day, that is, you hand them in the evening, you take them in the morning. The beach and pools were open from 8 to 18 o'clock, but I can say that many, including us, came even earlier, around 7, because they wanted to swim longer before the heat. It was also better to swim on the reef in the morning, because the sea was clear and you could see everything around for many meters ahead. By the way, there are several pools in the hotel, there is a main one where animation takes place, next to the restaurant, and another one was next to our building, it was always sparsely populated, you could swim heartily. Sun beds are also more than realistic to occupy. Alcohol is included in the hotel, but there are not enough glasses all the time and often beer was poured into 200 ml paper cups, so I had to come several times to drink full 0.5. Wine is poured only in the restaurant where the main meals were held, in bars this is already a paid option, cocktails depended on the bartenders-they were excellent and It was delicious, but sometimes it wasn't very good. Bars on the beach, by the pools and the main Azur bar start working at 9 a.m., alcoholic beverages start being bottled at 11 a.m. It often happened that the beer ran out, there was always a stir around it. Strong alcohol is only local, but we didn't try it, the rum in the pina collada cocktail wasn't very good.... As for the food, as my friend told me, you won't stay hungry, but you won't overeat either. I'll tell you about the meals- breakfast from 7 to 10 in the morning. There is an omelet station where the chef can cook fried eggs, omelets with or without vegetables. None of this is salted, they were salted themselves. Moreover, he does not spare vegetable oil, so the product is not exactly a dietary product. There are also vegetables, cheeses, cottage cheese, sausages and sausages made from cotton wool, delicious local flatbreads with cheese, pancakes and bread, unleavened, unsweetened, unsalted. There are boiled eggs, also unleavened oatmeal, rice porridge, wheat, flakes, balls, etc., pastries in the form of mini croissants, pretzels with cinnamon, etc. ... two coffee machines for different types of coffee, always two types of melons, apples, bananas, dates, grapes, if you have time, you can grab figs. Their yogurts look like yogurt with fruit. Lunch and dinner are relatively similar: there is one main course-turkey, duck, fish - usually the chef treats the guests at dinner. There were cotton sausages made from other meat, there was KFC chicken, the fish in the same breading was very salty, the chicken was stewed, fried, fish stewed, mini kebabs, sometimes it was delicious and not very salty, and sometimes there were too many spices. The vegetables were always stewed, sometimes grilled, fresh, salads didn't have to be served one at a time, sometimes the chef in the center of the hall handed out portions of Greek, nicoise, caesar and other famous salads. Once there were rolls for dinner-the sauce was impossibly sour, the rice with rolls looked like paste, the filling was not very clear in appearance and taste.... soups were mostly a homogenized liquid, often smelling of a seasoning like maggi. For lunch and dinner, there were also fruits and cakes, mostly consisting of a sponge cake with a layer and different topping. There was a pasta corner for lunch and dinner - there was always pasta with tomato and cream sauce, as well as pasta of the day. The traditional Egyptian cuisine corner consisted of several salads that looked like hummus, a side dish of potato chips and falafel, brown pasta, noodles, rice with noodles, gravy of vegetables or legumes. In general, the food was delicious, and it was possible to find something to eat, but it is impossible to say that each meal is a separate kind of art. Tourists of various nationalities are staying at the hotel, in addition to Russians, these are Germans, French, Italians, Spaniards, Poles, Slovaks, and locals. We did not see any hostility on their part, the hotel staff works tirelessly, is always polite, but no more. Another point I want to mention is that the hotel has a fitness room, two tennis courts, but everything is deserted, my husband wanted to find a partner and play tennis, we asked the reception several times, but this area is in disrepair. Also, during a vacation at the Mercure, an unpleasant episode occurred- my son got sick-it looked like rotovirus, the first day I treated him myself, but it didn't get better, we decided to consult a doctor for insurance (it was included, but we had to pay $ 30 for activation). As a result, the insurance company informed us that the hotel had its own doctor, and as it turned out, he put his son on his feet during the day, made an IV drip, gave out all the necessary medications, scheduled treatment, and told us to contact him at any time of the day or night. Another pleasant moment is that after checking out of the room, guests can stay at the hotel as long as necessary before leaving for the airport. We had lunch, had breakfast at the reception, and waited for the transfer in a comfortable environment. To summarize, I hope that my review will be useful to someone. We stayed at this hotel from 07/29 to 08/7.25.The hotel is wonderful, I liked everything.The staff was courteous, the food was decent, the territory was large and well maintained.The sea is a separate topic, I've vacationed in Egypt many times, but I've never seen a sea like this in any hotel.The beach is big, clean, there was enough space for everyone, there were no problems with sun beds.There is a small coral reef, there are few fish, but there is someone to see.There lives a cool stingray)). I would like to point out that we were in August, which is considered "off-season" in Egypt and there are significantly fewer tourists. By the sea, they're broken The entrance to the sea is sandy, and there are corals with fish in the distance. Lifeguards are on duty at the pools and on the beach during working hours. Every evening, the music and entertainment program are of mediocre quality They say there are animators, and we've even seen them a couple of times, but they don't attract a lot of people. Rooms: the furniture is not new, but there is everything you need, everything is functioning, large balconies. About the rooms and the hotel in general: very clean. The sea is gorgeous, the beach is large and clean, soft sand, we walked barefoot both on the beach and in the sea, the approach is very good, not a single pebble, it does not take long to go to a normal depth. There are few fish in the sea, but there is, there is a small reef, for those who have nothing to compare it with, it will be quite enough. The pools are of sufficient size and depth, there is a bar near each pool, and lifeguards are on duty near both pools and the sea. The bartenders were nice and friendly, and the drinks were brought directly to the sun beds. The majority of the vacationers are Europeans-Germans, French, Russians and Belarusians are also enough. We didn't notice that someone was treated better, someone was treated worse, the staff was very friendly and unobtrusive with everyone. Regarding the obsession: even on the beach, no one bothered with excursions and massages, they asked once, they didn't come up anymore. I don't know if this is a minus or a plus, there is no strong alcohol and cocktails in the main restaurant, only beer and wine. The wine is surprisingly good. Now about the cons: The first impression of the hotel was immediately spoiled by the reception staff, who openly extorted money for checking into rooms next to each other, because the four of them were relaxing (2+2). Moreover, they offered money to move in a little earlier, but they were refused. We checked in at exactly 14.00, still nearby, but after a conversation in raised tones, we did not give the money in principle. Bartenders at the beach bar: To say that they are boors is very mild. After a couple of times they threw glasses of beer on the bar so that beer splashed, they simply stopped using this bar so as not to spoil their rest. Upon departure, they were announced to the manager, who confirmed that they had been complained about repeatedly. Overall, I really liked the hotel, we can safely recommend it.
