Swiss precision meets Kazakh hospitality. Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau is as if the Swiss decided to show us how to relax properly, but with respect for local traditions. It was opened in 2021 on the site of a former sanatorium (a postmodern building still remains from Soviet times — granite, marble, precious woods), and the Swiss brand breathed new life into it. I went there to meet with German business partners. The conference rooms are equipped at the European level — the Germans nodded with approval, which says a lot! After the negotiations, we went to the SPA — 54 hectares of territory with a lake, pines and birches. The Germans were delighted: "It's almost like in Bavaria, only the mountains are higher!" The restaurant offers both European and local cuisine — beshbarmak is adjacent to Swiss fondue. Our partners have tried our pilaf and now they always ask when we will fly to Almaty again. I have my own mineral water source, an 18-hole golf club (although I don't play golf — you have to be either very rich or very patient to do that), swimming pools, a gym — in general, everything so that foreign guests don't feel disconnected from civilization. The prices, of course, are Swiss, but when you accept partners, the investment pays off with a reputation. Rating: 5/5

If you want a beautiful picture, then be sure to book a room with a balcony and a view of the mountains. It's very beautiful! The breakfasts are delicious, and there is a large selection of dishes. Very cool and comfortable beds and bedding. It was like the first hotel where I fell asleep thanks to a pillow and a blanket. The bathroom has everything. Swissotel Alatau is our personal resort in the city. We came here more than once for weekends, and even celebrated our son's birthday here — at his own request. He loves this place, just like us. The main advantage is a large green area with a park, pond and paths. In the summer, we ride bicycles and electric scooters with the whole family, and we also rode buggies — this added to the impressions, especially for children. The pools are excellent both in summer and winter. There are several outside, inside they are spacious, warm, with a Jacuzzi and hydromassage jets that pleasantly massage the back and add a cheerful feeling. There's a mini river with a current - you can't get the kids out. After swimming, we always have a snack in a convenient area next to the pool. The spa area is clean, cozy, on the level. We always take a room with a view of the mountains — it's beautiful at any time of the year. Evening walks in summer are especially pleasant. Parking can be difficult sometimes, but it's not critical. Swissotel is our family favorite. We come back again and again.

A wonderful hotel in a beautiful location! A well-maintained green area for pleasant walks with children and enjoying nature and the cleanest air! Huge luxurious fir trees, which most likely caught Soviet leaders and ministers on vacation here, a fish pond with a fantastic panorama of the mountains on the other side, an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, restaurants, a bar, a spa, as well as the possibility of consulting doctors and receiving medical procedures. A separate delight is the room. Spacious, solid with high-quality furniture. The magnificent view of the mountains opened from the balcony, it is impossible not to admire. A buffet breakfast was included in the price, and there is a huge selection for every taste. Special thanks to the staff of the hotel, who made the most pleasant impression! Thank you for your high level of service, sincere care and attention! Although the rest was short, it was 100 out of 100 here.

A luxury hotel with a multifunctional spa (sauna/steam bath), two swimming pools, three restaurants in the hotel and one outdoor restaurant "Phoenix" near a pond with fish and fountains. The hotel has a very beautiful and stylish interior, everything is clean and well maintained, and the design is excellent. Mountain view from the rooms, each room has its own loggia. The staff is very polite and professional, high-level massage therapists (Oksana top), fitness classes in groups are excellent (hello Dinara). The breakfasts and overall food at the hotel are very varied and of high quality. Room cleaning every day. The territory of the hotel is a special impression, it is huge (closed sanatorium-type territory), there are golf courses, tennis courts, walking paths, special cars that take guests around the territory. If you choose a hotel in Almaty, then only this one, you won't have a better rest anywhere, I didn't want to leave it). We will definitely return to this hotel, but for a longer time! We would like to express our deep gratitude to all the staff, especially the administrator, Jeanne, for their hospitality, the highest level of service and for the pleasure that your hotel has brought us. My impressions of Almaty would not be the same without you!!!❤ The only drawback or disadvantage is the inopportune free transfer from the airport.

I've been staying at this hotel for the second year and it's still beautiful. Earlier, in Soviet times, there was a boarding house for the party elite. Then, as I understand it, the boarding house was closed, rebuilt and reopened in 2021. I don't know what was here in Soviet times (unfortunately, I haven't found any photos online), but Swissotel is an amazing place today. It is located on a vast territory where there is a large lake, lots and lots of trees, various buildings / structures / complexes for different purposes for different numbers of people, tennis courts, sports fields, a golf club, a spa center ... That is, anyone can find something to do here. It's nice to walk around the hotel; there won't be many people around, but not because no one likes to walk - it's just that the territory is so huge that you'll be at odds with other people -) The rooms at Swissotel are high-quality "European" (global) five stars. Clean, comfortable, pleasant renovation. The air conditioner is odorless, works for both cooling and heating. Interestingly, if the door to the balcony is open, the air conditioner will not work - the company cares about the environment. Breakfast is served on the ground floor. It is a buffet with standard European food (porridges, pancakes, omelets) and Oriental dishes (for example, sweets). The hotel staff is wonderful. They are always ready to help, always friendly. I had to have dinner in the hotel's "big" restaurant (where breakfast is served in the morning) and in the Mixie Bar. Both are very tasty. One of the special features is that the hotel is located at a distance from the center. It will take about 40 minutes to get to the airport (early or early in the morning without traffic jams). You can drive from the airport (during rush hour) for up to two hours. Therefore, if you plan to travel from the airport, it may be more logical to get to the center (it takes about 45 minutes), have a leisurely dinner there and then go to the hotel. It's a wonderful place, a wonderful hotel; I hope to come back here again.

The only disadvantages: - in the restaurant of the national Kazakh cuisine, when serving a traditional dish, there is not a word about how to eat it and what are the features. A wonderful place to relax from the hustle and bustle!! You live like in a nature reserve, the air is fantastic, you can say delicious, you breathe and enjoy!!! Pheasants are walking around, a gorgeous pond with carp, weeping willows above them and a view of towering mountains with snow caps :) Lada can't believe in such beauty! I just described the nature, but the hotel itself, the staff and the food are at the same level! I am very happy, I will come back with my family, but I was on a business trip for work :)

The view from the window is incredibly beautiful, the territory is very large around the hotel, three restaurants, the food is very tasty and varied, a coffee shop in the lobby (the assortment of cakes is large), a spa with a swimming pool. A huge comfortable hotel on the territory of a huge park with its own golf course, lakes and a river. Inside the building there are several restaurants, a swimming pool, a SPA area. We used two halls for conferences and meetings. The rooms and staff correspond to 5 stars. The room is cleaned every day. Breakfast from 7:00 a.m., a great selection of dishes, drinks and fruits. I really liked it. We are here for a wellness program! Very attentive staff, caring. They wrote us a program, daily procedures on modern devices. We were put in a room with a view of the mountains, we admire it every morning. In the afternoon we go to the spa, pool, baths. Everything is clean and well maintained. A great place for relaxation and wellness. The territory is very beautiful, lots of greenery. Thank you for saving everything and even multiplying it. A pond teeming with fish. It's a pity, you can't catch it. Cozy atmosphere, pleasant aromas in the rooms.

It was my mom's birthday on June 6, and I decided to arrange a small celebration for her – we arrived at the Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau, strolled through the well-groomed, beautiful grounds, and then went to the Quarter restaurant for breakfast. Special thanks to Ramila and the entire restaurant team — they made our day really special! We were warmly welcomed, given a short tour of the room, and helped to choose a cozy table. The waiters were incredibly attentive, polite and sincerely friendly! ⠀ And at the end of breakfast, a real miracle happened — the whole restaurant team came out to wish mom a happy birthday! They brought a cake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday in chorus! 🎂🎶 It was very touching — mom almost burst into tears with joy, and I was deeply touched by the way everything was done! Thank you, Ramilya, and the entire Quarter team – you are real professionals and just wonderful people! Such sincere moments are remembered for a long time! ⠀ I recommend it from the bottom of my heart! ❤

The place is beautiful, the air is clean and fresh, the territory is huge. A place for the soul and relaxation. With children or a romantic stay, everything is on the level. Only the price is negative, compared to last year, the cost has been increased by 2 times. This time there were no hygiene products in the room, black tea. There's dust in the shelves in places, a teapot with someone's greasy prints. The room is Deluxe, but the difference from the Classic is not so noticeable, only the bathtub is bigger and there is a sofa. I paid only for the stay, since breakfast is expensive, it is more profitable to order food delivery.
