The building with a rich and interesting history is an architectural monument and a business card of Lida. It is located within walking distance from the railway and bus stations. Entrance to the territory is paid. In the museum located inside the castle, you can get acquainted with the history of its foundation and construction, as well as the personalities involved. There are thematic expositions in the two towers of the castle, where you can also view household items, paintings and photographs from different years, weapons and armor of knights and much more. The towers are connected by a passage in the upper part of the castle fortress wall, from the height of which you can see the surrounding urban surroundings. In addition, there is a restaurant and an exhibition of weapons on the territory inside the castle (entrance to it is for a fee). There is also a storage room inside at the entrance to the museum, where you can leave things you don't need when visiting. A public toilet and souvenir shops are located outside the castle - this should be taken into account when visiting the museum. In general, it is definitely worth visiting this rather interesting and picturesque place, especially when spectacular events are held - reconstructions of knight fights, etc. (there is even a grandstand with seats for spectators inside).

A very beautiful and well-maintained place, everything is very clean, there are signs everywhere, interesting exhibits, very friendly staff at the museum, it was nice to be in such an atmosphere. Medieval music is playing in the courtyard from the administration house, it's very funny. A good souvenir shop with reasonable prices. In general, it is a very good impression, it is clear that people are trying, success and prosperity.

The castle is very large, beautiful, ancient, it was authentic in 1320, but then it was destroyed, and now it has been restored, and made even more gorgeous and beautiful. You can also book a tour there. Everything cost us 42 rubles, not expensive as for me, there are 3 floors on different topics, there is even a royal toilet. There is a cafe next to the castle, where we ordered salads, cream spinach soup, hodgepodge, burgers with chicken and beef and drink pepsi and myriad, the waitress is very nice, kind, listened to us and correctly wrote down the order and wished us a pleasant appetite, everything is fine, there is also a bottle of water, it tastes good it's kind of metal, but it's washed and thirst is the most important thing, there is also a paid toilet, the office is not broken, the watchman is not rude. In short, everything is fine, I'll attach the photos

The first stone castle on the territory of Belarus, founded in the 14th century, is the main attraction of the city of Lida. It has been restored, the old masonry has been preserved in places. In the 2 towers available for inspection, there are now museum expositions telling about the history of the creation of the castle and fortifications, the history of the USSR and Belarus. There is a lot of interesting information for those who are interested in history. You can walk along the walls of the castle. If we compare it with the advertised castles in Mir and Nesvizh, then the Lida Castle loses to these two in terms of entertainment. It is better to visit the castle with a guide, it will be more informative. There is a rather cozy cafe inside the castle courtyard, where it is nice to have a snack and relax.

Lida Castle was built in 1323 on behalf of Prince Gediminas. A unique museum with interesting exhibits and photo zones. The museum staff is friendly. The caretakers of the halls tell the story of the castle with great love.Almost every room has an interactive stand with a description of the exhibits. There is also a theatrical tour in the museum.

A very cool and interesting castle! We went on an excursion with the class, everyone was especially impressed by the hall with instruments of torture) The guides tell me very interestingly, in general I liked it, but I recommend coming there in the summer, because you can walk around the lake, and another museum inside will be open
I recommend everyone to visit, at least to broaden their horizons))

A well-restored castle. Friendly caretakers. It is very convenient that there is an audio guide, but you can also take a guided tour. You can listen to old music on the square. Performances are taking place, but we didn't get there. The story is interesting. There are souvenir tents next to the castle. There is a lot of choice.

An ancient medieval castle built in the time of Prince Gediminas. It is a very atmospheric place, immersed in the Middle Ages. There is a place to take photos, and at the knight's table, try on a crown and knight's armor. You can shoot arrows in the yard. On the territory of the castle there is a restaurant with authentic Belarusian cuisine, also decorated in the style of the Middle Ages.

The castle is in a picturesque place. Despite the antiquity, there are many renovations during the restoration, especially in the upper tier. There are a lot of activities inside: knight's lists- sword fighting, archery and others, a blacksmith's house (it would be good to start the process live). There is a museum exposition inside the towers. A torture chamber with a set of medieval arsenal is interesting.
In general, the visit is very interesting for both adults and children.

The castle is located in the city of Lida, RB. It is small in size. The castle has been well reconstructed - all the elements are new or in excellent condition. There are photo zones, exhibition areas. There are walking paths around the castle, near the lake (they clean it, birds swim). There are Chinese trinkets in the stalls (I didn't see any local craftsmen).
I recommend you to visit.

I really don't want to write a negative review, but I want to draw the attention of the management to the problem. We had booked the tour in advance, it was our first castle in Belarus that we visited. It is a pity that the guide (unfortunately, I did not remember the name) was unfriendly, even rude, she clearly did not want to conduct the tour. Later I saw that on the territory of the courtyard other guides were telling some stories about the general history of the place, about some architectural features. Our guide immediately took us to the tower, began to scold everyone in advance that everyone always touches and breaks everything, and you are also likely to do this, but I threaten you – do not do this. To be honest, my husband and I left in the second hall. And we weren't the only ones. It was extremely unpleasant to be in her company. That is, it turns out that we paid for the tour, but left without receiving any interesting information. The lady was so unpleasant that I generally wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
Please note that the guides work with people, these people have come a long way to visit your castle (we drove from Smolensk for several hours). They expect high-quality service, respect, and interest.

The castle, according to the locals, has been renovated — there is little left of the former architecture.

The castle is basically a new model, an interesting room with objects for torture. The rest is a bit boring. These are mostly maps and illustrations.
The caretakers, or whatever you want to call them, are very stuffy. If you come to look, you'll immediately mumble "DON'T TOUCH IT WITH YOUR HANDS," and I wasn't going to... There are sandboxes for excavations, obviously for children, but they stand above the grilles of the heaters, for which again the negative appeal "I just cleaned up" was received.
The castle is like a castle. You can watch it, but it's about nothing.

Great respect for the work invested in the restoration of the castle, but, unfortunately, there is nothing to see in the castle. Everything is new, a fake fireplace, a throne room with a "European renovation" in the form of modern curtains, "phenomena" on the table, everything seemed inappropriate and boring to me. There is a little bit of masonry from the present, completed with modern bricks. I liked the torture room and was impressed by the costume of the plague doctor. But not the castle.

The impression is slightly spoiled by the fact that the entire new building is made of bricks, not boulders (I am not a restorer, so I do not understand why it would not be possible to repeat the original appearance if there are a lot of cobblestones in the area)
The museum's exposition is not large, but the main thing is the interior and atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to take a guide, be sure to take it, this is not an audio guide, but much more interesting and informative.
There is a tavern in the castle itself where you can have a snack, but there were no visitors at all, as well as waiters or menus at the entrance, so I had to go look for other cafes in the city (and this is a big problem in Lida)
