We rested at the hotel twice, both times in November in different years. I will not compare it with other hotels, I will evaluate it separately.

Great hotel! The service is excellent. I had to apply and any issue was resolved immediately. The room is clean. Good bed linen. The pools are wonderful!! You can order food directly to the pool. I really liked the water treatments (charcot shower, underwater massage) . Polite staff. The buffet.... not Turkey, of course, but.... We weren't hungry. Modest, but delicious! There are sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, everything is in good condition. And the area is clean. We had a rest together and we all liked it. I went to read the reviews and shuddered at the memories of my stay at this hotel. The whole family had a rest - 4 people (two small children) about 7 years ago. Judging by the reviews, nothing has changed. The location of the hotel is really great, but what difference will it make to you if you take turns lying in bed with rotavirus one after the other. It's the same thing every year. And it's not poisoning. After we, like most of the vacationers of this hotel, caught it with the whole family, I went to look for the source of possible contamination. And I found it. I was walking along the beach and not so far from the hotel I saw a trench descending from the mountains into the sea, I asked the locals, they explained that this was the discharge of sewage treatment plants. So much for the endless rotavirus among the vacationers of this hotel - through the dirty sea. Resting in this place is dangerous for your health. This is a huge disadvantage of this hotel, which negates all its advantages.
Well, the food, of course, leaves much to be desired. Probably relatives were assigned to cook, otherwise how to explain why people complain about the quality of food from year to year, but nothing changes.

We have been at this hotel since 06/04/2024, having read positive reviews. I wouldn't be surprised if they really remove the negative ones. I can't say anything good. It definitely doesn't pull at 4* , especially the terrible tasteless food, the complete lack of choice and variety. Terrible compotes diluted with water, tender meat from veins and films. The territory is very small, it is just practically non-existent. You'll be lucky if you get a sea view. A view of the mountains is a view of a garbage dump, which is naturally ignored. I recently returned from this hotel. I had a rest from December 7 to December 12. I really liked everything. The breakfasts are good, but please add fresh cucumbers/tomatoes. The room is large, bright, clean. There is everything you need. Except for toothbrushes. The gel as a shampoo is quite normal (mild).

Good evening! The hotel is good, but I will not recommend it due to the fact that it is stated more than it actually is. Namely, the pool with sea water turned out to be with ordinary water. And we came here precisely because of him, since at the end of October the water temperature in the sea can be unpredictable. We were lucky with the weather, and the pool was not needed. But why lie!?
We also had breakfasts and dinners for all 2 weeks, but when checking in, the girl at the reception tried to convince us that dinner was only 2 times, and then the winter season begins and only breakfasts remain. It's good that I printed out the voucher in advance and presented it. Then I was asked who issued me a ticket. And after my answer, they said that everything is OK - meals 2 times for the entire stay. And all with the look like they did us a favor.
Good Spa massage therapists are great, though, in my opinion, it's a little expensive.
Rotovirus has not bypassed us either, but that's another story. I think that the main reason is the dirt that is everywhere - on the streets, on the beach. If the streets are not cleaned, then this is one thing, but it is possible and necessary to monitor the cleanliness of the beach assigned to the hotel.
But there are much more positive moments, we went to rest and rested well! The climate is good, the nature is beautiful. I think we'll come back again, but most likely to another place.

But when we went to dinner, 4 adults and 4 children, we were shocked. The canteen building!!! From food - pollock (which is fed in prisons and hospitals) chicken in hot sauce, buckwheat, not a single vegetable, salted tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, olives, two rolls for dessert, broth of rosehip, compote. That's it!!!!!!! We had full board. The shock of having to eat this food all the days of the New Year holidays. The children are hungry. We immediately went to the reception to refund the cost of the banquet at 10 thousand per person. We spent two days trying to persuade the administration to give us this money, and only on the third day they threatened to call the police and returned it to us. Thanks for that. Then little changed in the diet, more or less there were breakfasts. (But if you go to the hotel's website, you will be surprised by the description of the lunch menu "exquisite" "varied" "children's table" - it is written on the website).The territory was killed after the storm, there is nothing for children to do, the playground is 3 x 3 meters in disrepair, one of the pools announced on the website is closed. There is also nowhere to go from entertainment nearby - a Ferris wheel and that's it! They were saved only by excursions. Honestly, I write that this is only a third of what we didn't like.

The food at the Hemingway restaurant is right next door, it's decent, not Greece, of course, but not Egyptian compost either. It's delicious and quite varied, it's a sin to complain. There are two saltwater pools, and the third is small, rather a font - in the spa area. The rooms are decent, no damage was noticed, cleaning every day, the maids are smart. The pillows, however, are terrible, brick by brick, they saved money. Rooms on all four sides, if you're lucky - either the sea, or the mountains, or the neighboring building, or the street. Wi-Fi is so-so, it often does not pull, it is better to take a local 10mb SIM card. There is one minus, but the general one is rotavirus, which is slightly less than universal. If you drink antiviral drugs the day before, you will not suffer much, for a day or two. Well, chacha helps, of course, all the time. They say there is also Coca-Cola, but it is difficult to find, and Pepsi is not in the cash register. Well, you must bring a polysorb with you. The sea smells and is cloudy, the stinky rivers are 100-200 meters on each side. There are slightly flooded breakwaters in the sea not far from the shore, it's better not to swim in a storm, maybe. There is a passage in the line of breakwaters, marked with a sign, behind the breakwaters the depth is immediately 5 meters. Gagra itself is a pleasant place, there is where to go and where to sit, a lot of cafes, shops and entertainment for every taste. In the Old Gagra they like live music more, in the New One they are noisier and more lively.

- strange rules! for example, there is wine in the restaurant, but no glasses. when I asked for a glass, I was told that we do not have a "Swedish line". Strange! Let me remind you. the hotel positions itself as a 4-star hotel!
The Hemingway restaurant, where the guests' meals take place, has panoramic windows overlooking the sea, the view is fantastic! this view is covered with tulle, when I pushed the tulle aside to enjoy the view over a cup of coffee, an aunt came, pulled the curtain and said that it was NOT ALLOWED!
- the toilet in the restaurant did not work, and something always flowed and smelled next to the rest from the sewer manhole.
- COST! it's not worth the money we paid! For this money, there are much better alternatives.

Now we have come for breakfast- all the seats are occupied, we are waiting for the table to be vacated. Breakfast itself takes only an hour and a half. The food is not very tasty, the choice is meager. The toilet in the lobby is open from 9 a.m., i.e. you came for breakfast, but there is nowhere to wash your hands. In general, this level of service is familiar to Abkhazia. One of the advantages is the proximity of the sea and more or less decent rooms. Not all staff are friendly.

Even banal tomatoes and cucumbers are available 1 time a day... It seems that there are plenty to choose from, but everything is prepared so-so... Umbrellas and sun beds are free on the beach. The beach is not bad for Abkhazia, it is difficult with children, because it is immediately deep and large pebbles. The biggest disadvantage, although this does not apply to the hotel, is almost total rotovirus. Both adults and children are sick! Of course, the hotel has nothing to do with it, but it spoils the impression of a vacation!

The rooms are cleaned perfectly. When changing bed linen, they charge 200 rubles per unit for stains (juice was spilled).
The SPA is just great!!!
The head physician discussed the problems, advised the procedures.
Hammam, massage, wraps, baths, peeling, cosmetology - everywhere there is absolute professionalism and result!!!
The rest turned out to be successful: the sea was 21 degrees, everyone was swimming, the weather was 27 degrees. It rained heavily twice, but all at night.

We rested from 27.10 to 5.11. I read a lot about rotovirus in this hotel, BUT I could not even think that it would affect us (and ALL vacationers, without exception) almost in November! All the vacationers had one problem: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. There were no people in the pool, in the bathhouse. Everyone in the rooms "hugged" with toilets. I had all the symptoms gone in a day, my daughter was in her arms (the hospital is a 5-minute walk away) carried to the hospital to do the system.
The rest is ruined. There is no desire to return.
And in general, it is not a bad hotel. Nice room, well-groomed territory, 2 clean outdoor pools, sauna + indoor pool. The sea is just around the corner.

We checked into the room (we waited at the reception for 30 minutes), no one will help in any way in the sense of things, drag everything yourself! We booked in the 1st building, settled in the 2nd. The shower leaked into the room, the floor is wet. They didn't even offer to help carry things. They moved half a day to another building. Extortion of money is everywhere.
