Hello. We have stayed at this hotel more than once as a family since 2013. As always, a cheerful welcome, courteous staff, cleanliness and amenities. Unfortunately, over the years, due to the change of the chef, the buffet has become less saturated in its taste and more monotonous. While vacationing in August 2022, I noticed the change of bottled water in the rooms, which was not a pleasant surprise. It is bad in its taste and, most likely, was the cause of the development of a rotovirus infection in my whole family. The vacation was ruined. Communicating with other guests, more than 90% were ill or had already had rotovirus. We had severe symptoms for more than 7 days, until we started buying bottled drinking water at the store. According to the staff, the water in the rooms is from a well that was drilled at the hotel. I kindly ask the hotel managers to submit the water for examination to the SES, it is not suitable for consumption.

It's too expensive to eat, but the breakfasts included in the price are basically good. We were in winter, the water in the pool is cold, the Finnish sauna is "for show", you will not be able to steam there. The floor lamps in the room are hanging out, the drain in the sink is constantly clogged, maybe I just got a bad room, I don't know... We rested from 1.09 to 8.09 the rooms are good, they clean every day, towels are changed, there are no questions for the staff, the hotel is good, two pools, the water is clean and warm, and then the problems begin))) the food is disgusting for breakfast, there is always an omelette and a curd casserole, the pancakes are cold, just icy, I understand everything, but there is a microwave oven))) all stewed vegetables such as beans or eggplants are terribly salted and spicy, what they are not clear, potatoes are also salted, all the food is slightly warm, the situation is slightly saved by the pastry chef, the pastries are just lovely, the pies are on top, the girls at the entrance at the sight of each guest experience an attack of politeness, none of the cafe staff does this anymore it suffers, this is the fourth hotel where we rested, the food is the worst, it was better everywhere (for example, a boxwood grove), there is simply no broth for lunch. They got sick with rotovirus on the third day, the temperature was 39 , vomiting, diarrhea , for three days lying in pharmacies there is everything you need, wild nausea until the end of the vacation, a slight smell of sewage from the sea, all the victims gather at the pool, look with horror towards the sea and share their impressions of how many days they had intestinal pain. A good SPA, a Thai woman earns her money, a masseuse on the beach too, pearl baths are great, all at an affordable price. The hotel definitely has an inflated price tag. There is no territory at all, rotovirus, the food is normal, no more, no less, no frills, wine only for lunch, coffee only for breakfast. There are breakwaters in the sea, which is not very convenient. The 2nd building is renovated, the rooms are cleaned normally. I liked the spa, but it's for an additional fee. In general, the whole of Abkhazia has an inflated price tag, even fruits are expensive in season (by the way, they give very little fruit in the hotel). The three of us had a rest, me and two children, 4 and 13 years old. The weather was cloudy, but this is not a minus. Abkhazia is beautiful and beautiful, but ROTAVIRUS has ruined our vacation. We did not take food on the beach, did not swallow water in the sea and pool, but on the second day the child vomited, the other had diarrhea, and even gave injections. It is a pity that the money that I have been saving up for a whole year has disappeared... At the end of the rest, she herself had the same problem, barely flew home. In general, the hotel is good, everything is beautiful, pleasant, but this illness has really spoiled the impression. And there was a feeling that they did not rest, but were even more tired. We don't know what we picked up and where, but the hotel immediately warned that ROTAVIRUS was all over the coast. Have Enterofuril, entnrol, polysorb with you and don't let this nonsense touch you.
The location is great, the spa is wonderful, the sea is beautiful, these are the advantages. Polite staff, the presence of a nurse is a plus.
And there is one huge disadvantage, which, unfortunately, is present there.

You know, when you choose a sanatorium for unloading therapy, you really expect the attention and care of the staff. But communication with the staff through the TG account just struck me as incorrect. My question about undergoing therapy was answered without even saying hello, "Yes, there is." I politely asked to disclose the question, assuming that they would send me the cost and content of the program, as well as ask clarifying questions. But all the answers were of the same type - "rooms are available, arrivals on Sun and Wednesdays."
As a result, they haven't written to me yet that my request is incomplete.
Well, tell me what we're missing and at least say hello.
Tell your manager from TG that it is thanks to him that you have lost a client, because I will never trust a sanatorium with treatment programs where they treat me as a client indifferently and not interested.

The hotel is not bad. The rooms are good, no worse than in the same Turkey. Refrigerator, air conditioner, safe, TV, kettle, etc. all free of charge. Nice bed. They are cleaned every day. Towels and bathrobes. The bathroom is also normal. There are no problems. The staff is friendly.
The territory of the hotel is very small. There are 2 small pools - one "fresh", the other "salty". Both are heated. You can splash around, but you won't be able to swim. There is a bowling alley with 3 lanes (free in the afternoon, after 18-00 - 600 rubles. \ hour.). There is an Internet connection. But normally you can only use it in the hallway on the floor or at the reception. Such a thing.
Now about the bad stuff. We went to the so-called "buffet restaurant" called "Hemingway". The food is full of crap, and the assortment and quality. I'm not a gourmet, but everything here reminded me of some kind of Soviet dining room. On the 3rd day of rest, they began to go only for breakfast. We had lunch and dinner in cafes located next to the hotel. Perhaps this is how everything is designed there, in order to support the local "business". The food in these establishments is good (we tried about 5 establishments - it's good everywhere. The portions are large, the food is delicious, the service is good), but not cheap. To sit together - the first, the second + a couple of glasses of local wine - an average of 3,000 rubles (for two).
We had a rest in June. They gave 130,000 rubles for two people along with the flight.
My personal conclusion is that you can go to Abkhazia once, but there is not much to see there. 2-3 "hot" places - N.Athos, Lake Ritsa and a couple more places. Will I come here again? Unlikely.

If you are planning a vacation with children or have health problems, then you definitely cannot come here ! There is an epidemic of noravirus infection in the hotel (confirmed by us in the laboratory). Everyone in the reviews describes rotavirus, since the clinic of virusraoa is similar, and people obviously did not do the tests. And until the hotel is closed for special treatment, nothing will change ( since the virus is transmitted both by contact and airborne droplets ). We saved the child only because the peak of the disease began when the plane landed in Moscow and we immediately hospitalized him. My husband and I got sick for 3 days at the hotel and barely walked away . Moreover, even the maids do not hide that everyone in the hotel gets sick for 2-3 days.
The carpet in the rooms is terribly dirty and stained with various origins. Black mold in the showers. Dirt stains on the bed upholstered in fabric .

Yes! Only the water in the pools is icy. The girl demonstratively showed us that the water is 26C, but guys! At +14, it's not about anything! Are you sorry to turn up the temperature? No one was swimming in the pool! Plunge in and run! Rooms! We're taking a suite! Well done here! The rooms are good! Food! Full board! This is a tin! There is nothing to feed a 6-year-old child!!!! Very nice Spa hotel.
My accommodation was in a room with a balcony on the 5th floor. The panoramic window looked out onto the street, and the view on the right side was on the sea, and on the left - on the mountains! And you can see the view of Novaya Gagra directly.
Cleanliness in the room! Daily cleaning, change of towels on request, as well as every other day. The bed linen was changed twice during the 11 days of rest.
The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor. Meals 3 times a day, buffet.
There is also a spa salon on the ground floor. I really enjoyed the massage sessions with Vladimir's specialist. He is a master of the Kofu technique.
But the most important thing is the sea! Despite the fact that there are two heated pools on the territory of the hotel, we swam exclusively in the sea. In October, the water temperature in the sea was 22-24'. And the air warmed up to 24-26'.
We had a good rest! We went on excursions to New Athos and Lake Ritsa. I liked everything very much.

The old room stock (lived in building 1), the unpleasant smell of sewage and old palaces in the room, the view from the room (standard) to the old dilapidated houses. There are no dental kits, face wipes, and as it turned out, they are not provided. Liquid soap is only in a dispenser, and a very old one. The hair dryer is old and yellowed. Breakfast is like in a not very good dining room, monotonous, pasta and sausages every day, no salads, no vegetables, no choice of juices (only one), coffee in a coffee machine with powdered milk. They did not dare to go to the "spa" and other procedures.

At the hotel, they looked at me with such ridicule as if I was asking for something supernatural. I understand that everyone wants to make money, but with a huge availability of rooms, denying overnight accommodation to a family with a child is the height of appreciation. And after that Abkhazia will be called the Country of the Soul?
