We had a rest on April 17-24, 2021. The impressions are the best. The hotel is modern, clean, well maintained. We lived in the second building. The rooms are almost new, the furniture and plumbing are in excellent condition. Well-maintained territory, two heated pools (the water is very warm despite the temperature outside of 12-14 degrees, we swam in the morning and evening-very comfortable). The bathrobes that were in the rooms helped a lot - I threw them into the pool or sauna. The food was only breakfast, everything was pretty good - porridge, sausages, omelette, cottage cheese, casseroles, etc. In general, everything was enough. I give the hotel a solid European 4 * and I will definitely return there again, because I consider it one of the best in Gagra.

It's really gorgeous, great rooms, good cuisine, two pools. It's a beautiful place. We liked it.
I support all positive feedback!!!
There will be no photos, there are so many of them.
But on the second day we received rotavirus and that's it, we had only 5 days in this place, 3 of them passed by. Almost by, sometimes it got good, we reached the sea.
Everyone was sick, we, our neighbors, our neighbors' neighbors, walking down the corridor you could just hear someone throwing up in the room. There is a medical center with an incoming doctor and an almost permanent nurse. The doctor immediately tells everyone in the corridor about the disease, and then individual receptions begin. On the second day there was a queue of 3 families, on the fifth of 10.

In 4 days, we only got to the dining room, which calls itself the Hemingway restaurant, once to eat.It happened on the day of arrival, we got to lunch.By the way, I'll attach a photo of the time that is given to eating))it is 50 minutes on 3 floors for 2 buildings!!!.That is why after that we were never able to get to breakfast, lunch, or dinner.There was always no place, there was a queue in front of the doors of smoking people and when opening the door to the canteen (unfortunately, I can't think of any other way to call this place ...)The receptionist with red lips shouted at us :There are no seats!!!In general, we have lost hope, and of course I will submit a claim to the hotel to reimburse full board.

Pools.Children swim in the saltwater pool.That says it all.Screams, screams, howls, crying, drooling, and even once it happened... but right into the water.On the first day, I swam in it, saw the dirty black drains through which the water in the pool is renewed and jumped out of it with horror.
The freshwater pool is decent, heated, but unfortunately it is not cleaned at all during the day, so wait for garbage at the sides by 3 p.m.Swimming is unpleasant.

The time is very inconvenient for those who go to bed late and get up late. Breakfast until 9:50, dinner until 19:50. We didn't go to breakfast at all. We got up at 9:30-10 a.m. The food is monotonous all week. Mega diet. It feels like we were in a sanatorium for ulcers. Boiled chicken breast and rice are always served for dinner and lunch. The child on the second day said: I will not go there anymore, there is nothing to eat there. And, most importantly, although the hotel has nothing to do with it, rotavirus is spiteful!!! We wanted to stay for 2 nights/ 2 rooms (February), found a hotel on a global aggregator site. We decided to book directly as we were passing through, but the administrator refused to place the price of the site and called the price much higher. We had a rest on October 3-14, 2020. The hotel exceeded all expectations. We were waiting for something post-Soviet. In fact, it is an excellent hotel for Abkhazia. Everything is very clean (room , grounds, dining room, the hotel itself). All staff are polite and not intrusive. The cleaning is excellent every day, towels were changed every day. You don't have to ask for anything. In the room, bathrobes, slippers, umbrella , shoe spoon , TV , air conditioning, kettle, single-use dishes, corkscrew, hair dryer - everything works. There is an iron and ironing board on the floor. The beach is large, very close, there are enough sun beds and in good condition, they will be put wherever you ask. One small minus - a free sauna for 30 minutes is very little. My assessment is a great hotel for that kind of money. I recommend.

The impression was spoiled already upon check-in, when they refused to check us in, demanding to make a deposit of 3,000 rubles per room (this condition was not prescribed anywhere before and was not voiced).
The representative of the hotel, Lilia Albertovna, behaved extremely rudely, explaining this by the internal rules of the hotel (money is taken for possible damage to property????) - OK, take it, but you need to warn about this at the stage of buying a ticket from a tour operator!
Food: The Hemingway restaurant is an ordinary dirty dining room, with disgusting food, what was not eaten for lunch is served for dinner. The choice of dishes is meager, and for breakfast, lunch and dinner there are local pickles.... the food is almost all spicy, and it was extremely difficult to feed the children.
Meal time - max. 1 hour 30 minutes, then the food is cleaned and at the stated dinner time from 18.00 to 20.00, it is impossible to eat after 19.20!!!!
From the rooms with mountain views, the set includes a view of the slums and the construction site, as well as endless noise from the road, construction, repair work, and at night music from There is a restaurant nearby.

The beach at the hotel has its own, BUT!... everyone can also lie down on it for money, which the "caretaker" of the beach is happy to collect, respectively, there were not always enough adequate places during the day for everyone.
Well, the cherry on the cake is an intestinal infection that absolutely everyone in this hotel suffers from!!! Moreover, the infection, including in the restaurant (unwashed dishes, water of unknown quality, etc.), we had children who did not swim in the sea!!! During our stay, we swam in the sea 1 time, as we were endlessly ill!
The territory of the hotel is small, there is little space by the pools.
The city itself is dirty and unkempt, the locals are not particularly friendly, taxi drivers cheat, you agree on one price, they bring you to your destination - they voice another.
The nature is beautiful, but against the general background of unkemptness and garbage, the impression is depressing...

The service was good, there were only breakfasts - very monotonous, but quite edible. The staff is polite and friendly. There were 8 days, 7 of them the saltwater pool was closed for sanitation, although we chose this hotel for the sake of this pool. The rooms are large, clean, and the cleaning was done every day

I had a rest in Abkhazia from August 8 to 24 at the Joekvara hotel.My friends advised me to visit the Spa center of the Alex Beach hotel (I regret that I did not do this at the very beginning of my vacation).

To begin with, I chose a hammam, scrubbing, chocolate wrap and facial cleansing

The friendly atmosphere and emotions received after the care procedures prompted me to attend a wellness massage.
At the very first session, I realized that the massage specialist-Vladimir is really a master of his craft.He quickly managed to adjust to my wishes.I performed a diagnosis of my joints and muscles and decided in which direction I needed to work.And from the very first visit, I felt for myself how the KO-FU DORN technique works.
The clogged muscles became noticeably softer, and the joints became more mobile.
And, of course, I decided to continue correcting my problems
