We had a rest with a large company from 3.05.23 to 03/23.
23. The Rossiya Hotel in Gudauta is the best in the city!
It was an amazing vacation!
The hotel is located 100 meters from the sea and offers stunning views of the sea and mountains. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with large windows that allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of nature.
The staff was very friendly and professional. They have always tried to help us with any questions or queries that arise.
I would like to thank the hotel manager Oksana Alexandrovna, the receptionists, the maids, the animator and the staff of the dining room!
Everything in the dining room was very fresh and delicious! We also had dinner right by the sea - it was an unforgettable atmosphere!
The hotel has a small area with a sunbathing area, a heated swimming pool, a quiet environment for reading books or just relaxing.
I really enjoyed spending time at this hotel, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful coast of Abkhazia. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

The food is delicious, Turkey was not nearby, even the breakfasts in Dubai are much more modest!!! the service is great.
The rooms have: soap and soap accessories, towels, hair dryer, heater, clothes dryer, iron with ironing board on the floor, kettle can be requested at the reception.

The hotel is brand new, everything is clean and beautiful!!! It was in June 2023.
The territory is small.
The nearest (grocery) stores are 2-3 minutes away. The market is a 15-minute walk away.
The staff is excellent, though shocked by the behavior of our tourists in the dining room.
The beach is pebbles, large and small. There is a paid bar on the beach, not from the hotel. Prices are humane from the word at all. It is open until 24:00. A very tasty neck kebab and meat from the local cuisine. Only beer is sold from alcohol. With permission, you can bring strong alcohol with you. You can sit and dance. In the evening, all the tables are occupied, it is better to arrange in advance.
On the right side of the hotel, behind the fence there is a city square with a beach, 3 cafes, exercise equipment, etc. You can wander in the evening.. The sun beds there are paid. It takes no more than 5 minutes to walk from the hotel.

We had a rest from 07/24/2024-30.07.2024, for our 3 stars, the hotel is just a fairy tale! The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful, the food is very tasty, we lived on the 7th floor overlooking the sea, it was not a problem to go down
on foot, the views of the mountains are simply fascinating!!! I would like to wish only patience to the guys in the lobby, in the dining room))). The rest is great!!!

Of the cons - the elevator of the hotel - there are 2 on 18 floors and 360 rooms - you swing to stand in line and then like a sprat ride in the elevator with a sick person.
The infection rate in this hotel with E. coli is high, many people go to the dining room twisted. I rested from September 4th to September 12th, 2024 upon arrival on the 3rd day, 2 adults and a child of 3 years were twisted- pupils, belching, fever, abdominal pain, as a result, I took the child to a local hospital 2 times a day and ivs were put on for 4 days and it did not help (the child could not walk was already exhausted)
upon arrival home, the child was placed in an infectious disease room, the adult is being treated at home with difficulty.
Also the sea- yes, it is clean like everywhere else, but one calm day there was an acrid smell of water - like sewage (there are rumors from locals that this territory is drained into the sea)
In general, you can choose! I advise you to look for where there are fewer people on the beach as well as in the hotel.
And as for the food in the dining room - compared to the taste qualities of the canteens of the Moscow region - she is resting in this hotel!
Many people look at the pros and photos only because of the booze that they give for free for almost days- People understand there will not be so much natural booze for such a hotel))))

Although the beach of the hotel itself, I do not know by whom, but, allegedly, is limited by some invisible framework, beyond which it is impossible to take out the sunbeds stacked the night before in piles. All this is in the hall, on the 1st floor, poured into disposable plastic cups and people drag them to different places, often spilling on the way. There are no cleaners on duty, so the floor is usually sticky from evening to morning. Oh, there's also a soft drink machine. Someone even used it... Summary: The hotel is for those who like to spend their holidays in a drunken stupor for cheap - Nature lovers, beautiful views from the window will have to suffer some inconveniences a little, and comfort lovers, there is nothing to do here.

I liked the hotel as a whole
Daily cleaning. Cozy rooms, large beds. The view from the balcony is just a cannon.
But there are 3 disadvantages. The first one is only 2 elevators on 18 floors. During rush hours, it is simply impossible to get up from the first floor, since the elevator is already crowded from the second floor. The second disadvantage is greedy and hungry tourists. The food is great, home cooking, but these hungry people who swept everything on their plates without leaving anything, to those people who do not come to the very beginning of the meal. And the third, as I think an important point, is the lack of a washing machine and the ability to erase things. I had to wash it in the sink.
The hotel has a 24-hour reception. A small clean pool, which is warm even at 9-10 pm.

We just stopped by for check-in, 4 people were sitting there talking to each other, zero attention was paid to check-in. We stayed in this hotel for 5 days in October. A low score for a sevres that does not exist is a maid from the 5th floor. Yes, I thought I came and asked if I should clean up or not. The rooms themselves are not bad, there is a large balcony. There is so much space, the building was designed this way and this area is stupid. There is no territory at all, there is nowhere to walk, and there is no point in being there. For those who care, it is better to look for another hotel.
The biggest disadvantage of this hotel is the canteen, there was no other word. And the vacationers themselves, who behave outrageously - they arrange pandemonium before the opening, then run to the distribution line - it was a SHOCK for us, we have never seen this anywhere. They grab the dishes and it starts- there are queues everywhere, people are picking up this food as if they had never eaten in their lives. They collect huge portions, over and over, everything falls out, then they don't eat it, leaving again full plates. Spanish shame. Do you really disrespect yourself so much that you have to behave like this???? They put the fruits in their bags with plates. Naturally, there are not enough fruits for those who come in an hour. It's the same with other food. They also put them in bags and take them away with them.
The waiters are young guys. It's a shame that it's like this. They look at it and are also shocked. If something runs out of food, they take it out. But the atmosphere in this dining room is not pleasant. Is it really impossible to somehow make the atmosphere brighter, more modern, and hang beautiful paintings there? The situation is like in a previous life.... Horror.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days, we were in the middle of May 2023. We liked everything very much. Meals are served three times a day, everything is always fresh, and there is a lot of space. The pool is cleaned every morning and throughout the day. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day. Although I do not understand why they do not report toiletries at least once every 2 days, go to the same pool and you can wash your head after water. At the reception they said that they are given out only upon arrival, for the number of people, but it's not scary, there are shops nearby where you can always find anything.
The reception helps with ordering a taxi, attentive girls work. There is a problem with elevators, that's for sure, there are few of them for such a number of rooms, of course, there is a straight traffic jam of people to go down and up. In general, we were satisfied, we lived on the 12th floor, the view from the window is simply gorgeous, on the sea with a balcony, a fairy tale.

Canteen, punishment number two. The dishes are not signed. Everything is cold. The food in general is not tasty. The coffee is just disgusting. On a huge hotel, one table where to pour tea. Hot compote, in the heat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. There is nothing in between. People want to eat at lunch, in the beginning they even eat on the windows. There is a restaurant nearby with normal food and live music. There are probably 10 tables in the evening animation area for the entire hotel. There is nowhere to sit down. We ordered a barbecue and eventually ate by the pool, said "this is your problem." There's not much to take at the bar either. There is a plague walking around the hotel. Everyone was ill.

We are currently resting at the hotel (from May 11 to May 21, 2024). Comparing with another hotel we visited in 2023, the hotel is more modest. Among the disadvantages: the food is not always delicious (there was an unpeeled pie, the cutlets are very salty, there are few sweets for children); marketable products (tomatoes and cucumbers) run out very quickly; the staff does not fuss to bring people who did not have time; for children, weak animation is only in the morning. When the weather is rainy, children run around doing nothing. Discos were not heard or seen at all. The pool is warm; the rooms are more or less decent; the staff is polite; if you are traveling in the off-season, you can ask for a warm blanket, a kettle and a heater. If you are going to the first, then it is very good to relax in this hotel. But our choice next time will not be in favor of Grand Russia.

Meat is given, vegetables are given, salads and soups are quite good! Even the sausage for breakfast is edible! There has always been a shortage of beer, but wine flows like a river! It tastes tolerable, you can drink it. Ice cream and popcorn are served during the day. There are practically no pastries and sweets in the dining room. The hotel is located in the city (village). The streets are deserted, quiet and deserted (we were in the middle of October). There is a grocery market nearby, where there is at least some excitement! There are a lot of dogs! The hordes! But harmless and cute creatures do not cause negative emotions. Gudauta itself is a hole. But if you need the sea, then there is plenty of it here! We had a rest in October 2024. There were hardly enough sunbeds on the beach, despite the "off-season". There are 2 towels in the room per person - one for the face, the second is beach-sized, but if you take it to the beach, then there will be nothing to wipe yourself in the room. The food is normal, wine-beer-ice cream too. There are constantly not enough forks in the dining room. But, all this should just be taken into account when visiting the hotel, and not get hung up and poison your vacation. The shore is very steep, the pebbles are large, swimming shoes are simply necessary. The place is calm and conducive to a relaxing holiday. Hands were washed, rotavirus was avoided. In general, it's not bad, you don't need to expect something unrealistic from the Abkhazian 3*.

The room has everything you need. The only thing that would not hurt to add shelves to the bathroom and some kind of rug near the door.
The beach is not bad, there really aren't enough sun loungers for everyone, but this is already a minus for our tourists-to take a sun lounger at 8 am, and come swimming only at 15:00. There is a city beach nearby, we went swimming there more often. Plus, the hotel has a swimming pool.
There are also parks, a market, grocery stores near the hotel, and the city center is just 5 minutes away.
There is also a tour desk in the hotel, they really did not use it, because they flew a tour from Pegasus, and took excursions from them.

Cons: staff (deceive, shield each other or "this is not for me"); receptionists do not solve anything at the reception (they sit on their phones and grin at your problems); room cleaning (bed linen is changed with a fight on the 7th day, you have to beg everyone); on 18 floors in total two elevators, one of which is often broken; it is forbidden to bring alcohol to the restaurant for lunch and dinner, kindergarten. Conclusion all the disadvantages are minor, but they really spoil the picture of the hotel as a whole and there is no longer a desire to return to this hotel.

No one was rude to us from the staff, all requests were fulfilled, from food diets to a change of linen, the dishes in the dining room are normal, I did not see dirty dishes, the elevators are working, we are used to it. On the 17th floor, retro cars can be heard driving. Dogs wake up at six in the morning by barking. The sea is clean, we swam on the nearby beach from the Max hotel, a sunbed + an umbrella 700r. And there is wifi, very good, there is a small park nearby. I didn't like the republic itself, the locals don't give in on pedestrians, they arrange a fight on the beach, scaring everyone, smoking something from the beach or provoking...I've watched it a couple of times. In NAFON, a local at the market began to smoke his cigarette in my face, saying buy or get out of here. In short, this region has not become a country of the soul for me. Rotavirus is raging in the hotel. I think it has nothing to do with food, it seemed to me that the food was fresh, salads, meat without foreign odors. It has to do with the sea, the pool, I think. In short, we suffered and fell out of the norm of life for three days.

I didn't like it. There are few elevators, they broke down or were always loaded with people (especially during breakfasts, lunches, dinners) and I did not like the beach, few sun beds, umbrellas, but a lot of sabaks. The child, after the first week, stopped eating anything at all in the dining room. In general, rest for three. For 6 days, the linen has not been changed once, the whole cleaning consists only in taking out the garbage. The food is for three, but it's not as scary as hungry tourists who take a queue 10 minutes before the canteen opens and rush around knocking each other down and picking up everything in a row. I don't know if they're ashamed of themselves, but they're a disgrace to everyone. It seems to be full board, but there is no drinking water freely available, you have to buy it. The food is always cold, tea and coffee in the morning. Lunch, dinner compote. What didn't end at lunch will be for dinner. The area on the beach is small and there are even fewer sunbeds. The area is mostly clean, the staff is friendly. There are shops and a pharmacy nearby.
