Finally we left!
Everything that is written in the negative reviews is true. The rest was pretty spoiled by the inconveniences created by the hotel (it would seem it should be the other way around), I'll start in order:
1. The pool bar is located in the main building, there is no free bar by the pool or on the beach. Of course, you buy everything for a fee.
2. Pool operation hours:
From 10 am to 20.00!!! You can't wait for him in the morning, in the evening when it's dark at sea, you won't be able to spend time by the pool.
3. There are no tables, chairs, or covered areas for relaxing in the company or just the whole mass of the hotel. There is nowhere to rest in the evening. There is no animation, at least because there is nowhere to collect all the people. There are no people, there is no one to play with.
4. The beach, a separate story. There is no bar (only paid, well, at least that way)
There is no toilet.
10 umbrellas for all 360 rooms :) There were 143 sun beds. The beach itself is a maximum of 100- 150m of coast. You go beyond the boundaries of a fine of 1000 rubles, you can not drag the sunbed away from the crowd, although there are a lot of places around, everyone is forced to crowd into a small narrow area. There are a lot of people in the morning (since the pool is closed! Everything is on the beach and everything is packed)
At 7.30 every morning there is a fight! For the first 8 days, we did not get on the sun beds, nor, of course, under the umbrella. Since everything was burned down, I had to give up and queue for an umbrella in the morning... An entertaining event, I'll tell you.
5. Dining room, food gets boring quickly as everywhere else, there are no small spoons, there is no black bread. Raw dishes and broken trays, they wash everything with pens, of course hastily (as a result, rotovirus is hellish), it is everywhere, but here they just vomit everywhere in the dining room, at the elevator and on the territory. They wrote about elevators, so this is the main breeding ground.
6. There was no cotton candy (this is also written in the reviews)
7. And the cherry on the cake was eviction. I was told I had to wash the stain from the child's vomit (there was exactly a stain), since there are such rules or pay a fine. She clarified where the rules are that hotel guests should wash. As a result, the manager was called. Anna Yuryevna tried to convince me for a long time that I was given clean underwear and I had to control the child. Well, yes, at night, but what is not there?))) That's why I went to the hotel to do the laundry. That's what everyone does, she said. And the fact that there are simply no bedspreads, in violation of all sanitary norms, it's nothing, the linen should still be clean at the time of delivery :) I categorically refused to pay and wash, they threatened the guards that they would not let me out. I offered to resolve all issues in court, since I will not pay pre-trial. And they do not have the right to hold by law !!!
Shame on such leadership!
I was sure the reviews are written by people who are too pretentious, but I have been to Abkhazia 3 times, I do not compare it with anything other than the same country and I will say, people are looking for other places to relax. Don't choose this, either this year or next year! It won't get any better!

The food is delicious, homemade. 3 types of hot, 3-4 side dishes, several salads, 4 types of meat. Coffee tea drinks. The rooms are clean, there is no kettle, but they give it at the reception. The staff is polite, the beach is 100 meters away. There are not enough sun loungers and an umbrella for everyone... There is a bar on the beach, a shower. There is no toilet yet, there is a small shop nearby, a market and a chic supermarket. I really liked it. They were from June 10 to June 20, 2023. We were lucky with the weather and the sea. You can order a ttaxi (2500) to Psou, but this is if you have a night plane. And so to the checkpoint of the minibus, travel 250 rubles. In general, I am delighted. The pool is warm and clean. There is no territory around the hotel, only a swing, benches, fountain in front of the entrance. But there is a park 500 meters away. With the beach. In general, you need to go and enjoy your vacation.

Hello. The hotel is completely unsanitary! Half of the vacation went to hospitals for ivs, no one cares about rotavirus, the locals are immune to this infection. They do not wash the common areas- elevators in the first place, there are only 2 of them for the whole hotel!
The child had to be taken to the hospital for ivs, the medical staff do not know what gloves and shoe covers are, and when this infection covers you, you don't understand much... Dogs are running around the hospital and no one cares. They pay from 1,500 to 3,000 rubles for an IV, I'll hand it over, no checks, nothing!
We will never go there again for any money!
The sewage is drained directly into the sea next to the hotel, where everyone swims, and the locals know everything and laugh at us!

We rested at the hotel from 21.05 to 28.05. A good hotel, cleaning every day, change of bed linen and towels every 4 days. The hotel staff is polite, but if you tell them something unpleasant, then they will reciprocate. There was a good attitude towards us personally. The pool with warm water, I didn't even want to leave it, the food is not bad, there is a variety, the balcony overlooks the sea. The hotel has only 2 elevators on 18 floors, rush hour happens during breakfast, lunch, dinner. It is sometimes easier to climb the stairs, we lived on the 9th floor, the family is young, it was not difficult for us.
There is not much place to walk around the city, we liked to walk along the beach, the embankment, and there is a park not far from the hotel.
They provide excursions, there are a lot of them. We have more positive emotions left from our vacation. I do not know if we will return to this hotel again. I want to try something new. I will recommend the hotel 👍

We booked a two -week vacation in this hotel , ran away on the second day !!! The stench is terrible , both on site and at sea . Feces are floating in the sea, and that 's because the hotel drains all the waste into the sea ! This causes rotavirus . Photos and videos are available! The hotel workers are aware , but the poor devils have nowhere to go . You won 't get an elevator . The dishes in the dining room are broken , and sometimes dirty . This is the first time I have met a hotel of this level. There are 18 floors and 2 elevators , one is often broken and these are still flowers. The food is disgusting, like at least they weren't hungry. The pool is located next to a septic tank, which is not designed for such a number of vacationers, so it is cleaned 5 times a day, of course the smell is magical. On the beach, for all residents of the hotel, there are 30 shuzlongs and 4 umbrellas (be sure to take coral slippers, since entering the sea is not pleasant. Everything is fine, but as in any place there are not big disadvantages:
A small yard area with large dogs that walk by themselves, it did not bother us, but our friends who were with us, even very much. The main disadvantages are over. Of the advantages, pleasant staff in the form of canteen workers, security (the guys really did well, they did not leave us unattended at night when we arrived and were as friendly as possible) a good and kind cleaner on the 13th floor. The room is clean and modern, the food in the dining room is not bad, without frills, but some dishes just amazed me, namely pea soup and noodle soup were just fire, respect to the cook.

We rested from 15.09.23-28.09.23. The 1st time in Abkhazia, and perhaps the last. The hotel is quite normal, after reconstruction, everything is new, but there are not enough important little things in the room. Food, as in a pioneer camp). For breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 hours are allocated, but if you come by the 2nd hour, there is almost no food. The territory of the hotel is small, and there is ruin around, construction sites. We have 2 separate beds in room 120, with one blanket, we ask for another blanket for three days, the child froze at night, peed himself and there are only one excuses for this, we do not have blankets!
There is only one blanket per room for all rooms, regardless of the number of beds!!!!!
At the same time, the hotel has a lot of beer, chacha, vodka...
Those who drink are certainly not cold, but everyone drinks here!!!!
And those who do not drink with children were offered to turn on the radiator (which is not in the room) or be in a stuffy place with all the windows closed. One word is a nightmare!

A great new hotel for Abkhazia:
A very nice 20-storey hotel with views of both the sea and Gudauta mountains. Each room has its own balcony👍;
Very attentive and hospitable staff with administrators headed by the manager👏
A huge, spacious and very bright dining room. Sufficient modest meals according to the buffet system;
The rooms are compact, cozy, clean, flat-screen TV, a sufficient number of TV channels. Bed linen and towels are clean without odors, but they come across with stains that have not been washed off, sometimes with holes😊;
Now it is being improved, as the hotel was launched in a hurry, a swimming pool is being built (they promise with heating);
Its own generator works perfectly (a huge plus, since there are constant and frequent power outages in Abkhazia;
The beach is in visible proximity and clean for Abkhazia…

We had a rest with my husband from 07/26/2023 to 1.08.2023. Pros:
1. The hotel is new, beautiful, clean, after renovation in 2022.
2. The sea is literally under the window.
3. Our room was on the 11th floor with a sea view - gorgeous! You can't think of a better location, the view from the window is just wow!
4. Gudauta is a small quiet town for lovers of relaxing holidays, there really is nowhere to go, but we calmly took a minibus or taxi and went to Athos and Sukhum.
That's where the advantages ended.
Minuses:
1. There are very few sunbeds from the hotel.
2. A lot has already been said about the elevator, I'll just say that we went down the stairs, but we waited in line to go up, but we never stood for a long time.
3. There are no shelves in the shower and glasses for brushes, a tiny trash can, a terrible pillow in the room. You need to ask for a kettle at the reception.
4. There was no cleaning in the room at any time. The maid only took out the trash. The reception said that wet cleaning is done daily, linen and towels are changed every 3 days. Soap and gels were given only on the first day. There is never soap in the communal toilets on the floors and in the dining room.
5. Food. It would be better if she didn't exist! Hospital level, plates are greasy, not washed! There were no fruits at all, only 2 times they got on a sour watermelon. For such a huge hotel, you need a distribution line and more staff. Minced meat cutlets with bones, rag soup. Boiled eggs are all cracked and dirty, this is unacceptable according to Sanpin standards. Cucumbers and tomatoes were with traces of earth, unwashed. Guys, rotavirus is in the hotel from the dining room! By the way, there are ads everywhere about rotavirus, but if you do not have hygiene in the dining room, the rooms are clearly not disinfected between vacationers, plus there is never soap in the toilets near the dining room, what do you want?
Speaking of rotavirus. We were lucky not to get sick while in Abkhazia for the second time. There is a proven secret - a small dose of strong drink, but only in the original packaging, preferably brought from home + go everywhere with an antiseptic, always wash your hands! My husband is a lover of diving in the sea, they did not catch anything, so there is a suspicion that the rotavirus is not in the sea. There is indeed a river nearby, but there is no stench from it, the water is clean. You can't swim after a storm yet, when all the rubbish is in the sea. But I definitely wouldn't risk going to Abkhazia with a child.
PS: you need to order a dry ration at departure the day before departure, we were given 2 bottles of water and a sandwich with sausage and cucumber. In principle, the norms were enough for the road to the airport and waiting at the border.

Today 08.09.2023 Our 4th day at the RUSSIA Gudauta Abkhazia hotel.
We are very glad that we got to this hotel. The room is clean, with a huge bed, snow-white towels, a balcony overlooking the sea, the hotel is clean everywhere, but the staff does it completely unnoticeably for the guests. The room has a refrigerator, hairdryer, clothes dryer, TV with cable TV. The food is excellent, everything is simple, without frills, but very tasty.
Free sun beds and umbrellas are provided on the sea for the guests of the ROSSIYA hotel.
The sea is a few minutes' walk away.
There is a large, clean, warm swimming pool on the territory.
The view from the hotel from any side is gorgeous, both on the mountains and on the sea.

We rested from September 4 to September 10, 2023. The hotel is new, the rooms are large and comfortable. The food is excellent, cakes and fruits are served daily, the dining room is clean, the workers are well done. Of the cons: there are no coolers with water, during the specified period the floor in the room was wiped 1 time, the sink and toilet were not washed once, soap and shampoo are given only 1 time upon check-in. In general, we recommend a vacation in Abkhazia, warm and clean sea, excellent weather and the kind attitude of the local population.

It is already written about elevators in every review, but this problem bypassed us because we were given a room on the second floor, right above the entrance and next to the dining room. As a result, all the flavors of the kitchen and those who smoke at the entrance are in our room. For 6 days, the linen has not been changed once, the whole cleaning consists only in taking out the garbage. The food is for three, but it's not as scary as hungry tourists who take a queue 10 minutes before the canteen opens and rush around knocking each other down and picking up everything in a row. I don't know if they're ashamed of themselves, but they're a disgrace to everyone. It seems to be full board, but there is no drinking water freely available, you have to buy it. The food is always cold, tea and coffee in the morning. Lunch, dinner compote. What didn't end at lunch will be for dinner. The area on the beach is small and there are even fewer sunbeds. The area is mostly clean, the staff is friendly. There are shops and a pharmacy nearby. The check-out from the rooms was at 12 o'clock, the bus at 15, the receptionist cut off the bracelets and said that the hotel services were over, that is, you couldn't go to the store for lunch, you couldn't go to the pool. I have never encountered such a situation anywhere. It was always possible to use the hotel's services before check-out. We had a rest on vacation. But next time we are unlikely to return to this hotel.

Beach: 100 sun beds (18 floors of about 20 rooms each), 10 umbrellas left. Sewage rivers "flow" from both sides, respectively, the smell is constant.

The food was well organized, fed to slaughter, tired of eating)) from 7-10 breakfast (buffet), from 10-13 h tea party rolls 13-to 15 lunch (buffet), from 15-18 grilled chicken fries, ice cream, fruit ice and popcorn, soda for children flows like a river, from 18-20 h dinner (buffet) and of course as much beer, wine, chacha as you want for free up to 22 hours.
Organized at certain times, the work of an animator for children and adults, you want gymnastics, you want aqua aerobics, stretching, discos., there is also billiards and table tennis.
It is possible to book some kind of excursion directly at the hotel, which we did.
The hotel is located in an area with direct relief, stunning views and mountains with snow-capped peaks and the whole area are visible from the balcony of the hotel and the sea is undulating without us!
In short, this is a quiet village without noise, without fuss, such a quiet village in which the Grand Hotel Russia is located. We really liked it here, we will come again 😘😘😘

It is also doubtful, but table tennis and billiards are paid, in fact, even in luxury hotels there is always such a rest for an additional cost, tennis 300 hour, billiards 500 hour.
In general, we would return to this hotel, I definitely put 5 stars, because the guys are trying, the furniture in the lobby, on the street, in the dining room is expensive, not bu with avito) I advise you to at least try to relax here.

We had a family vacation at this hotel at the end of October. The view from the windows is amazing, but this is probably where all the advantages end. There are only 2 elevators on 18 floors, we were very lucky that we were on the 4th floor, but mom got a room on the 14th floor, and you can't wait for it....As for the food, no one remained hungry, but the food was monotonous and cold (especially porridge in the morning). There is practically no baking, there were buns a couple of times, cakes were taken out once (20-30pcs for the whole hotel) and there were "eternal" donuts - which, in my opinion, were prepared before our arrival, and were exhibited every day until they dried up. The pool is not heated by the word at all, sewage flows into the sea from both sides on the beach.
