We were at this hotel in the summer from July 5 to 15, since I don't really like the heat, but with Turkey this year, something is generally overkill, we decided to go to the UAE, and we wanted something new, and the choice just fell on Rixos Bab Al Bahr. The temperature on arrival was 42C in the shade, the sea in which I wanted to cool down at least a little, did not give such an opportunity, but only offered to pour foam for the bath and enjoy, but there was a lot of humidity that day and it just affected, the following days the temperature reached 45C and all this in the shade, but the humidity faded, and it was already breathing great, the tides also did their job, the sea slightly reduced the heat, the heat, the water 32 no less. The hotel is cool, it's Rixos. Well, as everywhere there are shortcomings, unless of course you find fault. A lot of swimming pools, a children's area for kids, for teenagers, which is my son of 12 years, there is a Kid's club with billiards, air hockey, PS4 consoles, in general, everything you need to separate from your parents in the afternoon during the peak heat. There were constant tournaments, in general, the child was satisfied. The hotel itself is architecturally with a lot of corridors, and consists of several buildings, honestly even got lost several times, or once again turned off the elevator there. We arrived at the hotel at about 11 am with the check-in, we had to wait, but nothing went to have lunch and take a chilling tour of the hotel. The room was great, but as it turned out without a balcony, which initially upset, but without hesitation, going to the reception, a nice conversation with the staff and voila, the next day, we were already in another room with a balcony, and with a view of the sea. Special thanks to the reception staff: friendly, responsive, caring, always understand everything and help in a difficult situation, by the way, like all the staff in general, it really made me very happy. According to the food, they feed perfectly a plethora of dishes, from meat, fish, there were seafood constantly and cuisines of different countries every day, there are several restaurants on the territory that I recommend signing up for immediately upon arrival to experience all the more abundant cuisines of the world, there is also just a burger joint that works only from 22.00 and until the morning, a place, which saves after late arrivals from excursions. According to the evening programs, live music with vocals, live music of a pair of violin and cello, an awesome team with an evening dance show, the guys just burned out what they were doing on stage, it's just a plague. You can't walk into the city especially during the day with a walk from the asphalt, it's hot, but if everything happens, then a decent supply of water, hats, creams, but it's better in the evening when the heat subsides. To the right, when leaving the hotel, there is a park 10-15 minutes away, you can take pictures against the background of the sea at sunset, a pleasant sight. The rest is Dubai, the main life and entertainment there. In general, rest for 5 +, the reconnaissance was a success. Will I come again? Be sure to wait.

Good afternoon! I've never written bad reviews. We stayed at the hotel from April 10-17, 2024. The hotel does not correspond to the Rixos network, but only shames it. I would say 5 stars does not match! Well, now in order: the food is varied, delicious, but the service leaves much to be desired. The son asked for juice, and was rudely answered, "go and pour it yourself." The staff is not qualified and not oriented towards vacationers. The rooms are old, the sink was leaking when checking in, they asked to fix it, but no one came during the week of stay. On the beach, sun beds and umbrellas need to be replaced. I hope my review will help people and you will choose another hotel where there will be value for money. And here it is necessary to definitely deprive such a loud name. It seems to me that the name captivates everyone and we think that if Rixos, then everything will be great, but not in this case…

Cons - a very tired room, it is unrealistic to find a sunbed near the main pool if you like to sleep in the morning. Since it's windy on the beach in winter, there are a lot of people in the pools.
The main disadvantage. - miniclub. A very weak club, sluggish staff. There is nothing for children to do there, just to draw. It won't work to leave the children there, they don't go there. There are culinary master classes, but rarely, by appointment. If the miniclub is not taken into account, then a very good hotel.

The hotel needs renovation, the rooms are old, dirty, the seat of the toilet is already yellow with age. I asked twice to replace the kettle, as they all flow and there are always puddles under them, the iron did not work. The room is very cold and damp, my son slept in a fleece suit. I asked to make it warmer, the system is not coping apparently.
There are no bathrobes in the rooms. Several towels were brought dirty. It's terribly slippery in the bathroom, the child immediately falls, we also barely held on several times.
There is no light in the room, just a floor lamp and two bedside lamps. The hair dryer sticks out of the dresser drawer in the room, again where there is no light and if someone is sleeping, there is no way you can dry your hair.
The terrace is dirty, the furniture is all killed (and this is a premium room for which they paid $ 300 extra for 8 days)
The coast is bad, the sand is rough, the shells cut your feet, there are smelly algae in the water.
Baby food is pasta and some sauces for them. No canned food, curds or yoghurts.
The food for adults is generally delicious, but after a few days it will get boring, as there are a lot of spices. There are almost no fish, especially red ones. Seafood, if there is, is in terrible sauces.
The alcohol is mediocre, the cocktail list does not change, while they are prepared every time at random. Then they will forget to add alcohol, then they will mix other drinks.
There are people working at the reception who hardly count, the upgrade has been recalculated several times (also at a rate much lower than the exchange rate of 3.46 instead of 3.65).We waited 1.5 hours for check-in with a one-year-old child. They were not allowed to have lunch, although the time was 14:45.
Among the advantages are the pleasant staff at the hotel, restaurants, and good show programs.

- Frankly weak Internet. But even here there is an "excuse" - they immediately warned about it (even at the moment of choosing a hotel).
- What else ... well, perhaps the strange work of bars. But it's true - I really "find fault".
pluses. There are a lot of them, so perhaps only the main ones:
- very comfortable mattresses on the beds.
- good sound insulation of the rooms.
- there are always free sun loungers on the beach (near the pool ... here as luck would have it).
- the hotel is just a very decent option for a holiday with children (ours did not "climb out" of the children's club).
- well, the cuisine in the main restaurant: breakfasts and lunches are simply of high quality, but dinners are a "big and fat PLUS" here.
