We rested for a week in April. Before that, we were in the riksos of Abu Dhabi and Turkey (Sangate).
The assessment and comments are given in comparison primarily with other rixos.
Positive:
1. Sufficient room area, comfortable mattresses, quiet at night, normal sound insulation.
2. Polite staff, everyone says hello, good sense and positive is present.
3. Good sport for both adults and children/teenagers. We went to TRX for kids, crossfit. There are many other sports programs, professional and pleasant coaches.
4. Decent nutrition. A good selection of dishes, especially meat dishes. Interesting thematic days when different national dishes are prepared. But the queues behind them are huge. There are few fish and seafood, or from semi-finished products. Abu Dhabi regularly had sushi, sashimi, lobsters, mussels, tuna. Seafood is rare and tasteless here. The octopus pleased me only once. But there is a large selection of Indian dishes for connoisseurs. A good barbecue on the days when it is.
A large selection of Ala carte restaurants, for the first time we appreciated the opportunity to book them to eat without queuing. I managed to get into the fish and Italian, everything is delicious.
There is no cold coffee in the bar on a hot street, but it is in the cold lobby with air conditioning (these are the nuances).
5. Convenient territory, you can quickly walk to any location. There is a place to walk after dinner. In general, there is a very cozy atmosphere in the area where the restaurants are, as if I got into a small town by the sea. In my opinion, one of the best hotel layouts by territory and zones.
6. Beautiful dance and music shows. But you need to take up space in advance.
7. A good beach (the best in Rixos, where we were) with convenient access to the sea, the water is at a comfortable temperature. There are almost always sun beds on the beach.
8. Heated pools (about 28 degrees), but slightly cooler than in Abu Dhabi, there is also no hot tub. It was a real buzz there.
Minuses:
1. Crowds of people. By the pool, at any meal, in the evening at bars, in children's rooms, slides, etc. It was the first time I saw queues for breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Yes, a table is found relatively quickly, but in other riksos we are used to the fact that you can come at any time and there will be a place anywhere. Here they again accustomed themselves to live according to the regime and always come to the discovery. Do you want to lie down by the pool? Take a sunbed until 8-00.
Any activities are always busy (basketball court, table tennis, etc.).
There is a feeling that for a comfortable stay it is necessary to reduce the occupancy rate of the hotel by 50 percent.
Because of such a large number of people, an atmosphere of bustle and haste is created, which greatly affects the perception of rest.
2. The old number. Maybe not all of them, but we came across one of them. The shabbiness of the furniture is fine, but the leaky shower and the smell from the sewer caught me by surprise. The shortcomings were eliminated after the complaint, but the sediment remained. The bathroom door opens and closes very noisily.
But there was an interesting watering can for the shower (with very thin streams).
3. Non-operative solution of issues. The baby's bed was brought after the third request in the evening, it was put very inconveniently (blocking the closet doors), then rearranged.
In the ala kart restaurant, they forgot about the order, the waiters disappeared.
4. Slow Internet connection. It falls off periodically. It's not very convenient for work calls.
5. Interesting pricing of transfers from the tour operator (fan & sun). A taxi to Dubai costs 200 dirhams on average (it cost us 170 to get to the safari park). This is easily verified on the Internet, and the meeting guide indicated such an amount. But the hotel guide charges 800 for a round trip transfer. It is unclear who this is intended for.
6. Strange rules.
a) In a club for teenagers, an adult cannot play table football with a teenager, even if there are no others willing, and the child does not have a company to play with.
b) In the adult pool bar, you can not take water with children, even if they are just standing next to each other. That is, children should be taken out of the pool area, and then parents can stand in line for water. At the same time, the second bar on the street did not work at all.
c) If friends come to you, they can't just go to the hotel (even for money) without booking a room if the occupancy rate is more than 80%. We managed to arrange to sit for one hour (and no more!) in the lobby. But on the day of arrival, another employee claimed that it was impossible to even sit in the lobby. We barely found the one we agreed with initially. Guys, the lobby was created in order to be there not only for hotel guests! It's just absurd.
d) Lunch is not allowed on the day of departure if the flight is late. The hotel guide suggested that no one is watching this much, so we had lunch anyway, but the same ridiculous rule was in Abu Dhabi, so I think it's important to pay attention to this. People came for all inclusive, there is no cafe within walking distance, maybe it is worth providing them with food? Come up with lunch boxes with you in the end.
But yes, you can stand in line and still have lunch for 200 dirhams per person.
It seems to me that when implementing any rules, it is necessary to be flexible, depending on how deviation from them will affect the rest of other guests.
How will playing a teenager with a parent on an unattended table interfere with other vacationers?
How will giving water to children at an adult pool spoil the rest of others?
How do the gatherings of guests with friends in an empty hotel lobby appear on the loading of the hotel and staff?
How will an additional lunch for departing guests affect the hotel's income?
I can still understand if the hotel was a boutique with a sophisticated audience in evening dresses every day, but here is an objectively good family five with certain disadvantages. The lack of loyalty to the guests only strengthens these disadvantages.
It seems that the staff is selected with high quality, with developed empathy, etc., but at the administration level, rules are set that are disloyal to guests, which well-chosen staff is forced to broadcast to guests.
At the same time, there are rules that no one really follows: the dress code in the restaurant (no complaints here), the ban on booking sunbeds (everything is in towels in the morning), the issuance of towels by cards (this is a strange story in general, in other riksos they always gave just like that), plus 16 zone on the beach (everyone is lying in a row, but on the fifth day of rest, we were approached with a request to move the child to another place).
I would like to wish the administration more flexibility, everyone will benefit from this.
And if you optimize the ratio of places in restaurants / on sun beds with the number of vacationers, then half of the disadvantages will go away by themselves.
Yes, we also had a swimming stick stolen by the pool, but there is more of a question for vacationers.
In general, we are happy with the rest, but form expectations in accordance with the indicated nuances.

I would like to write my review about a 12-day stay at the Rixos Bab Al Bahr Hotel.
Before that, we were in two other rixos.
We arrived at the hotel around 9 am. The meeting at the hotel was quite in a good atmosphere , they settled in quickly and immediately, which was very pleasing, but the room was on the garden and without a balcony, the request to change the room with a balcony was answered good-naturedly and two days later the room was replaced.
The room did not cause any complaints, clean, cleaned , there is a mini bar (cola, sprite, water, a children's cocktail, two beers, chips). Now about the service , it certainly wasn 't like the Rixos that we used to see : on the beach of the sea there is no bar service at all from the word at all. There is also no service at the pools, if you want something, please get up and go take a queue at the bar, and there is always one there and sometimes more than 10 people.
The food in the restaurant at lunch is pretty good, but there is a big interesting event in front of the entrance, there is a queue of more than 50 people (it was wild), everyone checks who is from which room, waiters run around bringing drinks, but there are a lot of people restyling is crowded.
Now about Ala maps: there are three of them. Meat, fish, Turkish.
Recording Ala maps by recording two or three days in advance. It is allowed to stay in the restaurant for a maximum of ONE HOUR, it turned out to be a complete disorder, whether you ate or not, please go OUT, and it does not matter how long your order was prepared.
It was a birthday (just everyone was escorted outside) and the plates were half full, they were upset with such a service.
Pools are few and clearly not enough for this hotel.
In the end , it 's not that bad . But if you are used to the rixos service, then this hotel is clearly not for you.

A terrible hotel. For adults there is a sports bar with a very stylish interior and a great terrace overlooking the hotel and the bay. A very tasty Margarita is made, I must say, and you don't have to pay for it. Inside the bar, you can smoke, drink Margaritas and watch football matches. The entrance to the bar is of course only for adults, there is strict with this, even if a parent comes with a child, they will not be allowed, since the atmosphere is adult, plus they smoke inside. But adults, especially dads, will like to rest in the cool with a cocktail in hand) The staff is sensitive to your requests, the main thing is to observe politeness and tact themselves. The hotel is located on an island and offers a beautiful view of the bay. You can write a lot more good things, but it's better to see it once! I recommend it!

I've been to this hotel twice. This is probably the only hotel under the alinclusive program. This is where its advantages end. If the hotel is crowded, it is extremely difficult to get anywhere, including Ala kart restaurants. It has not been renovated for a long time, it is clear that the hotel is already very "tired". Old coverings in the rooms, dirty windows, balconies, dilapidated plumbing that is siliconized if anything leaks but is not repaired.
There are many types of food, but you can eat very little of it.
Both times the children came down with intestinal, yes, there is a room service that will carry a diet menu to your room until it stops, and this is a huge plus.
But 5 days of hell with a temperature below 40 for two children, my wife and I - it's difficult to convey. Medicine is also a problem, but it's apparently everywhere there.
I would not recommend going there, at least until they reduce prices to the level of three, since there are no five there at all.

We rested with children in this hotel for 7 days in December 2023 , I have not seen a worse hotel for this money , 3 pools and all 3 are filled with people , it's just disgusting to swim ... there is not one free sunbed on the sea !
The room service is terrible , they feed the same thing (and everything is not tasty), then they over -salt, then they over -dry, the choice of food is small ... in general , the disorder is complete !!!I do not recommend it!

I was at the Rixos hotel for the first time and honestly didn't regret a bit. Despite the fact that the hotel is relatively young, everything was at the highest level: beautiful large rooms, delicious and varied food, friendly and helpful staff, an interesting and colorful program in the evening. The only thing I didn't like was the sea, it's very warm (we were in June) and absolutely dead. My children and I love to look at marine life, unfortunately you will not find them here.
