It's an amazing place, especially for fans of the Magnificent Century series! Price per person 1,700 liras (December 2024) We started with the harem, we didn't take the audio guide because we forgot our passport (you can download the QR code from the ticket application, which will have the same audio guide, only on your phone, listened through headphones), in my opinion, there was little information. I advise you to go straight to the harem, it would seem that we went everywhere quickly- but we spent a whole hour in it. The harem has a cold atmosphere, but I really liked the courtyard energetically (plus it was a sunny day))) I advise everyone!

The impressions are the most fabulous and incredible, especially if you plunge into the history that is shown in the historical film "The Magnificent Century", a visit to this palace will be even more unforgettable!!! Very beautiful! The ticket price is very high.

I really liked it! You can walk all day and admire))) The heat is not felt in the halls and courtyards. Take the audio guide. Not all files were opened on your phone, it's better to take their phone. There are toilets in two places for sure!

A stunning palace and, of course, a grandiose monument of the great era of the Ottoman Empire. This monument of architecture and history will not leave anyone indifferent and will give you a lot of unforgettable impressions, plunging headlong into the atmosphere of the era of the great sultans. If you look at the palace, then this one, the later ones, of course, no longer reflect the identity of the Ottomans and have too Europeanized style.

An incredibly beautiful place with its own special atmosphere and a wonderful view of the Bosphorus. Come to the opening (10:00) to enjoy the silence, by 11:00 there are already crowds of tourists here. I bought a single ticket (palace and harem) for 950 lire, but I could do with a ticket for 750 lire, since the harem is certainly beautiful, but it is not obligatory to visit at all. It took about 2.5 hours to walk around the entire complex, during which time I visited all the main objects and almost all the exhibitions.

The centuries-old rich history of the palace is amazing, a very interesting tour with a wonderful guide. The territory, the exhibits of the museum, the interiors and the splendor of the Sultan's palace are amazing. There is an audio guide, the ticket cost 650 rubles. There is a queue, but it moves fast enough

The entrance is 1700 liras for an adult, 190 liras for a child, 10 times higher than for locals, the territory is well-groomed, there is nothing to show, a lot of people, did not make an impression, for such money, it is not worth visiting. The Turks were so eager to destroy the Roman heritage that for hundreds of years, they did not really produce anything, a couple of palaces and several mosques, destroying the previous culture

An interesting place. A lot of impressions. You should take at least half a day to inspect the entire complex. In the afternoon, you can visit the Blue Mosque and St. Sophia. Or the Museum of archeology. But not all of them together. Otherwise, everything will turn out on the run and blurred. And in the end, only wild fatigue will be remembered.

Beautiful historical place. Palaces, chambers, parks... you need to see with your own eyes. Admission is paid and all rooms are included in the price. You can walk for a long time, or you can get around everything quickly.

The Hermitage of Istanbul. It is worth going if the price of an entrance ticket to the territory of the palace complex does not bother. About 5,200 rubles.

The materialized world of Turkish TV series! The beauty, the modest outlines of the owners' past wealth. You can easily imagine the life raging in the palace. The location is accessible, in the historical center. There is a small queue for tickets. The exposition is available for inspection. It takes about 2 hours for the examination.

A beautiful palace!!A storehouse of history and beauty!!!I want to learn more and more about him after watching it!!! I would like another cafe to be set up on the territory, or coffee machines to relax and keep warm! Audio guides need to be checked, there is no information in Russian at some points. You need to attach strings to the audio guides (they are in the form of a mobile phone). to hang it around your neck and not be afraid to drop it!!!

A cool historical place. The residence of the sultans. The inspection took 5 hours. There are a lot of terraces and beautiful landscaped corners. The harem, madrasah, treasury and all other areas of the life of the sultans of the past are very well covered. It is located in the historical center.

It is useful for general development. Like any other locations with an ancient history. Only the entrance to the palace costs an inadequate 1,700 rubles per person. (for local 170) If you want a guide, then prepare another $ 40-50 per person. The tour itself is mediocre. I think a free audio guide that you can take for free after buying a ticket will solve the problem not much worse. Near the palace there is a pleasant Gulhane Park with alleys, benches, where large green parrots live. You can relax there. Admission to the park is free.

The main Museum of Istanbul. It is better to visit on Monday. It is advisable to come 20 minutes before the opening. The work starts at 9. In this case, you will be comfortable and will not be disturbed by numerous tourists. The Sultan's family lived here until the middle of the 19th century. The museum's collection is immense - first of all, objects of the sultan's life and everyday life, Muslim relics. A separate fee is charged for visiting the harem. But his device is interesting mainly to specialists.

Well, it was, well, it was beautiful. However, the sophistication is lost. This style is well represented in the Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg, much richer. But there are no echoes of the Ottoman Empire here.

There were high expectations about the palace, which were not fulfilled at all. Perhaps because of the scaffolding and blocked passageways to the upper floors. The palace is very big, but there is absolutely nothing to see.

Well, who among us doesn't want to get into the fairy tale of the magnificent Sultan Suleiman and his beloved wife Hurrem? Let's make a fairy tale come true and open the doors of the Cannon Gate in Istanbul! What does the Cannon Gate have to do with it? Yes, it's very simple, that's the name of the sultan's Topkapi Palace (cannonball in Turkish means "top", and "kapy" means gate). A local legend says that when the sultan entered the gate, a cannon necessarily fired, so they named the palace, without further ado. Before entering the Main Gate of Topkapi, I want to say that the palace made a great impression on me: it is very large and the beauty is extraordinary. Sultan Mehmet Fatih II, the conqueror of Constantinople, began to build the palace for himself and his family. The Sultan turned the great Constantinople into Istanbul, razing the Byzantine Empire to the ground. I want to share my impressions about this place. I probably, like many people, was eager to visit the top caps after watching the popular Turkish TV series "Magnificent Century". When you watch it on TV, you can't even imagine how big it really is! A huge square, beautiful gardens, and an incredible-sized palace. Going inside, it felt like the Sultan was in his chambers to this day, everything was so atmospheric there, as if you were plunging into another era. Large, spacious rooms, a huge harem and marble baths, large balconies, well-kept grounds around - all this is breathtaking!

We were in March. We lived nearby and saw what crowds were gathering, so we came to the opening for a visit. There were 3 minutes in the queue. The ticket has become very expensive 650 rubles- 2600 rubles . Have you ever seen such prices in museums in Moscow or St. Petersburg? In short, we were shocked! Well, okay.... We were 3 minutes behind in the second queue for the audio guide (again, why not give it right at the checkout?) We went to the territory through the turnstile without queuing) Topkapi is an open-air complex. Much is still hidden from the eyes of tourists, it is under restoration. The audio guide is very bad (compared to other museum complexes), I think for such money we must make it more informative and interesting. And as if on purpose to take a guide! The complex itself is majestic and atmospheric, it was interesting for us to wander. There are few museum exhibits (weapons and household items) in separate rooms, most of all in the kitchen. I repeat, there was a great lack of information. I definitely recommend it for viewing, but it may be better to choose a guided tour.

There is a long queue for tickets, but it is worth defending. Tickets cost 550 and 650 liras, depending on the number of locations. You won't be able to get around it quickly, at least 2-3 hours (to run and take pictures). It is very big, and there are so many interesting things. It is convenient to use the audio guide. Expositions can't be photographed everywhere. The view of the Bosphorus is beautiful

Beautiful place 😍 It's worth considering that the area is large, so set aside at least 2 hours to walk around and explore all the rooms. Also, do not miss the Hurrem harem, it has a separate entrance to the right of the main one – we first passed by and did not immediately find it.

The museum is clearly not worth the money that is being asked for a ticket. The buildings are often haphazard, each one is quite pretty individually, but in general there is no single ensemble. According to the audio guide (also quite mediocre), the beauty of the palace was measured in kilograms of precious metals. Now the jewels can be viewed in two "storerooms". To get there, you need to stand in two queues, each for 40 minutes. What is taken inside is not worth this waiting time. Great hope was pinned on the harem, but it also disappointed. For the most part, these are small rooms with remnants of former greatness on the walls. There are a couple of nice state halls and a couple of beautiful courtyards, but again they don't cost money for a ticket.
